For lunch, I went to a long-established diner founded in 1975. I was disappointed to find out that the ankake ramen I had been curious about was already off the menu. I was told they had been serving it until recently. I ended up ordering: - Furano Omurice: A local specialty of Furano. I had it when I visited Furano a few years ago, and it was delicious! It came with Furano milk and salad as well. The runny egg and vegetables were all tasty, and the curry had a nice, easy-to-eat flavor. The cost performance is also really good. - Shoyu Ramen: A traditional style ramen. The meaty, gamey smell of the chashu pork also came through in the soup, making it quite delicious!

The prices are reasonable, and there are various options to choose from, making it a good deal. The other fries that came with the shrimp fry set meal were scallops and white fish, making it a very satisfying meal.

This is my second visit following last year. As it is a popular spot in Furano, I entered the restaurant as soon as it opened. The staff and the atmosphere inside were just as lively and welcoming as last year. Last time, I ordered the chicken cutlet set with soy sauce ramen and the Furano omurice (for two people), so this year I went for the hamburger set with miso ramen (for one person)… It arrived in about 15 minutes. The photo was taken after I accidentally ate about half of the salad (haha). There was twice as much cabbage as shown in the picture, and there were also mini tomatoes. The hamburger seemed homemade, but it might have been from a commercial source? It was soft and had a good flavor. The miso ramen, although in a small bowl, had firm noodles and tasty chashu. I was able to visit a restaurant that I had heard about from an acquaintance for the first time. I ordered the chicken cutlet set meal, and my wife ordered the Furano omurice. The chicken cutlet set meal was excellent and delicious. It was my first time visiting, so I'm not sure, but my wife's Furano omurice came with white rice instead of ketchup rice. The menu said ketchup rice, so there seems to be a mistake somewhere.

The curry here is amazing, and the ramen is also good with a taste similar to Asahikawa style. I said about a year and a half ago that the curry here surpasses expectations, but I lack the ability to learn and end up ordering a set meal anyway, being greedy. From the street towards the mountain area for a while. The parking lot has space for 6 cars behind the shop. On Saturday at 12 o'clock, there were 5 groups of locals, totaling 14 people. It seems to be a popular restaurant. I ordered mini salt ramen with a light flavor, but it was a bit too salty, maybe they forgot or it was due to the strong taste of sodium chloride. Overall, the restaurant, which seems to be an established one, has a good taste. The grilled pork was delicious, with a good amount of meat (definitely over 200g). On the second day of my trip to Furano, I checked out of the cottage where I stayed in Nakafurano and visited this restaurant after 5 years. I ordered the pork cutlet bowl set with salt ramen, while my wife ordered the Furano omelette curry that she had also tried 5 years ago. First, my wife's Furano omelette curry arrived. I tried a bit and found that the soft-boiled egg with ketchup rice inside was a great match with the curry, and the vegetables served were delicious. The Furano milk that came with it was also a nice touch. Then my pork cutlet bowl set with salt ramen arrived. The salt ramen had a taste similar to Asahikawa-style ramen, and the pork cutlet was hearty and satisfying. Overall, the restaurant had a cozy diner-style atmosphere and we left feeling full and satisfied!

Despite the crowd, the food was served promptly. The staff here leave a good impression, perhaps due to their personality rather than friendliness. Just like last time, I opted for the half-size ramen with my set meal. I know, it's a bit too much food. There's rice, plenty of side dishes, and ramen – it's definitely calorie overload. The chicken cutlet was made from thigh meat and was tender with a normal thickness. The set meal also came with a small side dish, making it good value for money. From listening to other customers' orders, it seemed like the pork bowl was a popular choice. I'm debating whether to try the pork bowl set for 950 yen next time, or maybe the hamburger set for 800 yen.

The interior of the store had a small counter for 2 people, a raised seating area, and table seating. The store seemed to have been around for a while, but that was not a problem. I ordered the chicken tempura set meal, which seemed like a good deal. You can choose from ramen, soba, or udon for the set meals and rice bowls. I ordered ramen, and it seems you can also choose the flavor? The set meal that was served had a good presentation! It looked delicious! It was hard to imagine it not tasting good! The small side dish on the potato salad was nostalgic. The side dish on the fried tofu was delicious! The flavors were strong, so the rice went well with it. The ramen, even though it was a small size, was quite a generous portion, I think? The taste itself was also good. The chicken tempura was a bit too fried and hard. It was a satisfying set meal restaurant. They seem to recommend their special Furano curry, but personally, I would recommend the set meals as well. Next time, I might try the chicken cutlet set meal or the hamburger set meal. The seasoning is also well done.

Furano Om Curry for 900 yen at Yamaka Shokudo for lunch. Since I'm in Furano, I decided to try the Om Curry. It comes with salad and milk. The curry is spicy with potatoes and croquettes in it. The milk is rich and creamy. The restaurant was full during lunchtime.

Work at the site office is progressing smoothly, so it's time for lunch (^^)/ I was recommended a soup curry restaurant by my colleagues, but it was closed on that day (^^;) Although the store information said it had irregular holidays, it was still disappointing! So, let's try the B-class gourmet dish in Furano, the omu curry, at Yamaka Shokudo! I visited this place about two years ago, but for some reason, I had never tried the omu curry there (^^;) The parking lot was almost full, and the inside of the restaurant was also almost full, but luckily there was a vacant seat in the tatami area next to the entrance! As it was lunchtime, more and more customers started coming in, but since it was full, some had to give up on entering. Now, I ordered the Furano omu curry, of course... While waiting, I realized that it was super cold in there, maybe because the insulation was thin! When a seat at the counter opened up, I asked the staff if I could move, and they kindly allowed me to move to a seat next to the stove (^^♪ It arrived in about 10 minutes! Ah~ the long-awaited omu curry! There's even a flag on the omurice, and it comes with a bottle of milk! The curry has lots of vegetables in it, with a nostalgic taste. I haven't had bottled milk in over 40 years. Another delicious lunch today. Thank you for the meal.

Although the popular menu item was said to be the omurice curry, the regular customers seemed to be ordering vegetable stir-fry set meals and fried chicken set meals. Perhaps the real popular items are the set meals. My companion ordered the omurice curry, while I ordered the pork cutlet bowl and soy sauce ramen set. The soy sauce ramen was a simple and traditional style that I enjoyed. However, the omurice curry was dry and lacked flavor, which I personally did not like. Therefore, I would not recommend it to others. The cost performance was good, offering a filling meal at a reasonable price, so it was okay overall.

I went to Furano to visit the Furano Police Station! I got a bit lost on the way there, but luckily I found Yamaka Shokudo. The atmosphere was nostalgic and cozy. I ordered the curry set, which included pork bowl and fried rice. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The ramen noodles were slightly softer than usual, and the curry rice had a nice balance of flavors. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and I look forward to trying their omurice next time!

A miso ramen with plenty of vegetables. It's a traditional ramen that is not too unique or strongly flavored. When you order a set meal, you get a half portion of ramen instead of miso soup! So if you're hungry, it's better to order the set meal.

During a spontaneous drive in Furano, Hokkaido, we stumbled upon a charming diner and decided to give it a try. I ordered the local specialty, Furano omurice curry for 900 yen, while my companion opted for soy sauce ramen for 650 yen. The Furano omurice curry is made with local ingredients from Furano, topped with Furano milk, and a choice of Furano cheese, butter, or wine. The dish had a slight tanginess within its rich curry sauce, and the vegetables were delicious. The Furano milk was exceptionally tasty! For dessert, a refreshing slice of melon was served, a true taste of Hokkaido. I highly recommend trying the Furano milk.
