I ordered Poteriko Salad for 340 yen and Super Pizza Potato for 430 yen. Unfortunately, Poteriko Cheese flavor was not available for order. If Jagariko has a crispy texture, Poteriko has a fluffy texture. The store operates by having frozen potatoes that are fried on-site. I have heard rumors of frozen Poteriko being distributed, but I have not seen it yet. They prioritize serving freshly fried potatoes, so after ordering, you have to wait for the buzzer to call you. The floor has shared dining tables with other stores. It all depends on timing if there are available seats due to the influx of tourists. I was called in about 5 minutes. Poteriko Salad had a fluffy texture and maintained the quality I expected. The deliciousness of freshly fried potatoes cannot be beaten. Super Pizza Potato was my first time trying it. It seems to be an item that emphasizes being freshly fried, but the uneven distribution of cheese and salami toppings made it difficult to share. Thank you for the meal.

I've tried the salad flavor a few times before. The Poteriko Salad (310 yen) was different than I expected, not as crispy as I thought. It's more like a Jagariko flavored French fry, with a soft and fluffy potato inside. The texture is unique, similar to a hash brown with a crispy outer layer. It's delicious and reasonably priced, so I would buy it again if I have time before boarding. I hope the cheese flavor will be back next time.

I received a souvenir from Hokkaido, which is Calbee Plus' Jagakurisupi Inca no Mezame. The Calbee Plus project started with the idea that they wanted to provide customers with the most delicious freshly fried potato chips. Currently, Calbee Plus offers freshly fried potato chips as part of their food menu in 10 stores including the New Chitose Airport store. Inca no Mezame is one of the products sold by Calbee Plus, made using sweet and fluffy Inca no Mezame potatoes with a chestnut-like sweetness. They use Ishigaki salt to enhance the sweetness of the flavor. I noticed something interesting on the back of the box - the potatoes used are 100% Hokkaido-grown Inca no Mezame. The manufacturing plant is in Kagoshima, while the sales location is in Hokkaido. It seems inefficient to transport Hokkaido produce to Kagoshima for processing and then back to Hokkaido. As for the taste, it's mediocre. The crispy texture is good, and the potato flavor comes through, but I expected more from the Inca no Mezame brand. Normal Calbee potato chips are much tastier. In that sense, this souvenir ranks as one of the most disappointing ones I've received from Hokkaido. Nonetheless, thank you for the meal.

The fun times also brought about a sense of loneliness. As we waved goodbye at the security checkpoint, my wife and I watched as Little Chill eagerly wanted to go to Calbee. "You're so cold-hearted," we chuckled at Little Chill's impatience. Now, more than the brief parting with my older brother, we were excited to visit Calbee. Little Chill recommended the Poteriko (310 yen) and lightly salted potato chips (290 yen) saying, "Try them! They're delicious!" with confidence. It was my first time trying Poteriko. Oh, this is delicious! I thought it would be a warm version of Jagariko, but it has a unique deliciousness that is addictive. The fluffy texture of the potato and the exquisite saltiness. "It's definitely delicious," said my wife. Apparently, they became obsessed with it after trying it on the way back from a family trip to Fukuoka. This was my first time trying it, but I can see why one would fall in love with it. Little Chill, who loves potatoes, please continue to grow healthy and strong.
