First visit. Found Mr. Koshizuka in the Shibuya Tokyu Food Show. I heard a rumor that the corned beef bowl made with the corned beef here is delicious, so I decided to try it out. I purchased the homemade corned beef (2297 yen + tax). I only knew corned beef in a can, so the sight of corned beef in a terrine mold was quite impactful. I cut a little bit to try it out, and it had more fat than I expected. Indeed, this would go well with hot rice. First, I tried it for breakfast by putting it on English bread. Since it has a lot of fat, I toasted the bread and put the shredded corned beef on top as a substitute for butter. As I expected, it was definitely delicious. The taste of the bread (Andersen's English bread) that I usually eat was elevated to a whole new level. You definitely should toast the bread. The melted fat seeps into the bread and makes it really good. Another day. This time, I decided to make the corned beef bowl. I mixed the shredded corned beef and egg yolk with freshly cooked rice. Then I added wasabi and soy sauce. I lightly mixed it all together and dug in. Mmm♪(*^^*) This is definitely delicious. While it was good with bread, personally, I prefer it with rice. The wasabi might be the key. I heard from a certain TV show that wasabi soy sauce goes well with it, so I tried it out, and it was even better than I expected. If it's this good with tube wasabi, it must be even better with real wasabi at a restaurant. Yet another day. This time, I made corned beef and corn rice. Since the corned beef has a lot of fat, I thought it would go well with corn, so I tried making it. Normally, I would make corn rice with butter and salt, but this time I only used water (and the core of the corn). I mixed the shredded corned beef with the cooked corn rice and let it steam a little before eating. Yes♪ I expected it to go well, and it really did. The saltiness and fat of the corned beef accentuated the sweetness of the corn. If I were to be picky, I felt that adding some Japanese pepper or something spicy would have made the overall dish more balanced, but unfortunately, I didn't have any Japanese pepper, so I had to give up on that. I enjoyed various dishes like this, but it was quite tough to finish the large-sized corned beef alone within the expiration date (laughs). I would have to make corned beef dishes every day for a week to finish it. Towards the end, I got a bit tired of it, so I wish they would sell a half-sized corned beef so that even a single person can finish it.

This is a meat delicatessen shop located in the Tokyu Food Show Deli Zone at Shibuya Station front called "Shibuchika". The main store is located at Sendagi Koshizuka Sendagi Honten, established in 1949. Known as a "well-known meat shop in the downtown area", Koshizuka Ham was once popular among those in the know, but its popularity has grown rapidly along with the popularity of Yanaka-Senji, and now it is a well-known shop nationwide, with shops in department store basements and station buildings in Tokyo. Their specialty is corned beef, but they also have a variety of pork processed products and side dishes made using them, making it a well-stocked shop at Sendagi Koshizuka. I tried their Corned Beef Bibimbap (1,080 yen). The container, which is stacked in two tiers and has a handle, resembles a lunch box. The top tier contains the ingredients, while the bottom tier contains rice, which is not white rice but barley rice with a high barley content. Since some time has passed since it was prepared, the moisture has been removed. It needs to be reheated with added moisture to steam it in order to be delicious. It's a bento box meant to be taken home to eat. The main ingredient is Koshizuka's famous corned beef. Even a single pack of it costs around 2,000 yen, so this price for this amount seems quite generous. It is incredibly delicious. It's no wonder it's the specialty of a famous shop. The meat is already shredded, so once you put it in your mouth, the richness of the meat spreads. There is some fat present, but the amount is not enough to be bothersome, which is a good thing. The namul vegetables are made up of mountain vegetables, greens, and bean sprouts. It's clear that they use high-quality beans for the bean sprouts, but the namul seems to be diluting the flavor of the delicious corned beef. The corned beef flavor is diluted by the moisture from the vegetables. The onsen tamago (soft-boiled egg) is cooked to perfection so that it doesn't break while being carried around. The combination of the egg yolk and corned beef is excellent and delicious. In terms of presentation, adding namul for visual balance is necessary, but in terms of flavor, just the corned beef and onsen tamago are enough. The corned beef is so delicious that it might be better to just buy the corned beef on its own and eat it at home in your preferred style.

Since the canned beef was expensive and precious, if my parents caught me eating it alone, they would scold me harshly. Well, I was scolded many times. Normally, I'm a timid person, so when scolded, I have two choices: either do it sneakily or stop. But during those times, I was different from others. If I could eat this, I didn't care about anything else. It was a matter of determination. When I found it under the stairs, I faced it head-on without fear. If I were to describe it in words, it would be "Top Breeder Recommended! I'm charging ahead!" Homemade Corned Beef & Charcoal-Grilled Wagyu Kalbi Bento - 1481 yen. After eating it for the first time in a while, I felt unsatisfied. Of course, the lack of guilt may have contributed to that feeling. But the most unsatisfying part was that... there was no round, smooth, fatty part at the bottom of the can. It was too shredded. After having a meal at Shinshu-ya, I thought... Corned beef bowls actually have the potential to become a huge trend.

I visited a meat shop in Sendagi that opened in July 2021 during the renewal of the "Delizone" area in the Shibuya underground area of Tokyu Food Show. The shop is known for its signature corned beef, as well as various side dishes and bento boxes made with it. I received an email from home saying that the "Corned Beef Nori Bento" sold only at this shop and at Ecute Nippori is delicious, especially after returning from a business trip in Yamanashi. I got off at Shibuya and stopped by. The shop had homemade corned beef, berry ham, and a variety of side dishes and bento boxes, including the "Corned Beef Nori Bento" priced at 1380 yen. There were only two left, so I bought those along with one homemade corned beef for a total of 2141 yen. When I opened the package at home, I found a bed of rice topped with shredded corned beef, grilled salmon, rolled omelette, fried chicken, and pickled vegetables. The corned beef seemed to be plain, but it paired well with the nori and rice. The quality of the salmon and fried chicken was beyond my expectations. The nori and rice were also delicious, making the overall experience even better than the nori bento I bought at Ecute Shinagawa. It was definitely a good decision to purchase this bento. And of course, the homemade corned beef was delicious as well.

Kanda Koshizuka Main Store is a long-established meat shop. With a history dating back to 1949, this old-fashioned shop is now offering side dishes at the Shibuya Food Show. Their chicken wings are perfect for snacking with drinks, priced at 601 yen for a pack of 5 or 120 yen each. The rich seasoning pairs well with a home drink like a highball. Next time, I'll try their ham or corned beef. I consider myself the "Sake Prince." Follow and comment on my Instagram for more content. I believe that with sake, meat, and sweets, one can live happily! As the "Sake Prince," I will introduce delicious restaurants that pair well with Japanese sake and wine.

I had heard that the corned beef was delicious, but I couldn't challenge myself to buy the one that was over 2000 yen. So, I decided to buy a discounted bento instead. The rice was separate, so when I mixed it together, the visual appearance was ruined. However, since mixing is part of bibimbap, I thought it was okay. The corned beef was delicious! There was a strong umami flavor in each bite, which was fantastic. It had a significant presence even when mixed with vegetables, showing why it's popular. The rice portion was quite small, so you would need some side dishes.

I found a sandwich with plenty of corned beef at Yokoze in Shibuya's food show. It's called "Reuben Sandwich" for 579 yen (including 8% tax). It came with two slices, so I left one as it is. I was happy with the generous amount of corned beef, but the bread was a bit dry, so I lightly toasted the other slice. It gave a crispy texture and tasted better when toasted.

This time, I used it during breakfast time. I was unsure of what to get, but this time I purchased homemade corned beef. Purchase content Homemade corned beef 2,140 yen Homemade corned beef is made from Australian beef brisket with firm meat fibers and Japanese beef fat that melts at body temperature. The saltiness is just right, and it tasted delicious with wasabi soy sauce. The store is clean and has a beautiful display. It is a ham & sausage shop located inside Shibuya Tokyu Food Show.

Koshizuka's Bologna sausage bento. Koshizuka is famous for its corned beef, but their Bologna sausage is also a big hit. It's not greasy at all, so even people who don't like this type of sausage can enjoy it. Unlike luncheon meat like Spam, which feels 60% fat, this is different. It's also used as an ingredient in this spaghetti that looks like Napolitan. It's delicious whether heated or eaten raw. Suitable for both drinkers and non-drinkers. Very versatile.
