There is a Venchi chocolate shop in Daimaru Osaka. My daughter, whom I met in Italy, took me there because there is also a shop at Daimaru. It seems that it opened in July 2021. The shop was founded in Piedmont, Italy in 1878, so it is a popular long-established store with a long history. It is a cute shop that can be seen as you go west from Hankyu Department Store. The stylish chocolate shop on the street corner. The shop is glass-walled, so you can see colorful Italian-colored windows of chocolates and gelato from the outside. I noticed an advent calendar. All the tree ornaments are filled with chocolates. They are using an advent calendar for Christians without chocolates, so I passed this time. Although the chocolates are quite high-end, there were many stylish packages perfect for anniversaries and gifts. You can select chocolates individually, so you can enjoy it. I tried the gelato that caught my eye. I had a Piccolo cone cup with two types of gelato of my choice. Pistachio and Cremino. I took a bite and it was delicious~♪ I became a fan. The shop was full of female customers. It is said that there is usually a line, but as it was Monday evening, we were able to enter the shop without waiting. I am happy to be able to enjoy Italian long-established chocolates and gelato nearby. I would recommend it as a gift for chocolate lovers.

On Friday around 20:30 after dinner, I went to a high-end ice cream shop that I had been curious about for dessert. Despite being close to closing time, there was a line of people waiting to order. Surprisingly, there were many groups of men. I ordered the Grande size where you can choose 4 flavors: Mascarpone, Caramelized Fig Pistachio, Summertime (milk ice cream with tropical sauce), Strawberry Stracciatella, and Pistachio. The Mascarpone and Pistachio were especially delicious. It melts very quickly, so although it may only show in the cone, I recommend getting it in a cup for a more enjoyable experience until the end.

This shop is famous for its gelato, but they also sell various chocolate products. I purchased some with nuts inside, which were not very rich and could be enjoyed by children. They may not be satisfying for those who like dark or rich chocolate.

The authentic Italian gelato here is rich and creamy!! I chose Baccio di Dama, Mascarpone Caramelized Fig, and Gianduiotto Venezuela flavors for my triple scoop. They were all on the sweeter and richer side, so I ended up feeling really full! I also ordered a gourmet cup with caramelized nuts and chocolate inside. Maybe I should have skipped that to fully enjoy the ice cream flavors. I got a bit greedy! The sparkling interior of the shop and the chocolate sold by weight made me feel like I was really overseas! ✨

Venki Cream is a custard gelato with a unique and delicious flavor! It has a bitter chocolate on top. I also tried the tiramisu flavor. The inside of the cup is topped with chocolate and caramelized nuts, so I think it was a good choice not to go with a chocolate gelato flavor. It might have been too heavy if it was a chocolate flavor. However, since it's a chocolate shop, next time I want to try a chocolate gelato flavor without any toppings.

When I visited, the price for eating in was 880 yen, which seems to have gone up from before. It's a bit cheaper if you take it to go. I decided to eat in so I could enjoy it while walking around the underground mall. I chose the Mascarpone Caramel Fig and Venezuela flavors. The caramel sweetness and the chocolate flavor at the bottom blended together perfectly, creating a luxurious taste. It's so rich and satisfying, yet leaves a refreshing feeling in your mouth. They offer cones and cups for the gelato. The toppings are coated on the outside of the cone and on the inside of the cup. I might try adding toppings next time. I thought the portion size was a bit small, but it was just right. It's a good amount to satisfy your craving without feeling too full. It wasn't too crowded when I visited on a weekday evening, so I was able to buy my treats easily. It might get busier as we head into summer.

It has been about 7 years since I had it during my trip to Italy. At that time, they had not yet expanded to Japan. I had the Gelato Piccolo / Cup (864 yen). Piccolo means "small" in Italian, I think. They offer Piccolo (small) with 2 flavors, Regular (medium) with 3 flavors, and Grande (large) with 4 flavors. It's expensive... When you add toppings, it goes over 1,000 yen. So, I kept it simple with just this. I chose Gianduiotto Venezuela and Pistachio. Gianduiotto Venezuela is hard to pronounce. It's basically chocolate and hazelnut. Let's try it. The taste is... delicious. However, the chocolate flavor of Gianduiotto Venezuela is very strong. I went to try Venky's ice cream for the first time! There were so many flavors to choose from, but the staff helped me decide. I told them I wanted something light, and they recommended either "Raspberry," "Mango," or "Azteco." I chose Mango and Azteco, and they were delicious! Yesterday I went to Hisaya Odori in Nagoya, and today unexpectedly went for ice cream two days in a row ♡ I found a place nearby and when I told my friends how delicious it was yesterday, they wanted to go too! Today's flavors were pistachio, raspberry, cream, and a new flavor with corn cookies which was delicious with chunks of corn cookies in it! I have visited this store twice in Osaka as well, it's just too good!! The gourmet corn topping is a must ♡

I came across this gelato place on Instagram and decided to check it out. It's located in the middle of the underground passage connecting Osaka Station and Kitashinchi Station. You can order two flavors of gelato without any additional charge for your choice of flavors. For an extra fee, you can have chocolate and crunch toppings on the rim of your cup or cone, which looks very stylish. Since it's underground, it's hard to get a good picture inside the store, but the presentation was very Instagram-worthy. The taste was also delicious. It's a bit pricey, but it's a very stylish gelato place. It might be worth visiting once for a special occasion.

While walking through the underground shopping area from the hotel to the station, I saw a line and a display of ice cream in a large cone cup, so I thought it was an ice cream shop, but it turned out to be Venchi! I've never bought anything from there, but I know it - it's in Ginza. Since it was raining and I wasn't in the mood for ice cream, I wanted to buy some chocolate, but there seemed to be a capacity limit, so I visited again at night. I asked the shop assistant for recommendations and ended up buying a few different flavors. I might have gotten a better deal buying them individually rather than in a gift box. When I tried them back at the hotel, they were all delicious. They are a bit pricey, but definitely worth trying.
