After a meal, I visited a cozy looking oden restaurant. I ordered a menu I had never heard of before, called egg asazuke, and it was seriously delicious! The place was always full of customers and had great service. It's the kind of place you want to drop by casually.

When you enter the shop, you can smell the delicious aroma of oden. This shop is proud of its oden. There is also a wide selection of sake, with about 10 different types to choose from. It is located a little away from Shibuya Station, so it is a hidden spot where adults can enjoy a quiet drink away from the hustle and bustle of the station.

I made a reservation and visited this restaurant on a regular night (after 5:00 PM). It's within walking distance from Shibuya, so it's easy to get to. The inside of the restaurant was quite cold because the air conditioning was strong, even though I was wearing a sleeveless top. The counter and tables are narrow, and the distance between customers is close. Be careful not to order too much food as there may not be enough space to put it all. However, the staff pay attention to the table availability and are very kind. They occasionally engage in conversation, recommend drinks, and overall, the staff were very kind. The summer oden was amazing! The oden and dashi-flavored tamagoyaki were so delicious and made me happy. Other dishes were also tasty, especially the thick-cut ham katsu which was very filling. I drank a lot of sake, about 2 cups worth, and it felt like a good value for the amount I drank. I will definitely go back again!

I was pleased to see that they offer a variety of appetizers besides oden. They use a lot of seasonal ingredients and seem to change their menu frequently. I didn't make it to the end this time, but I would like to try their oden broth ramen or soba next time. Thank you for the meal.

Shibuya's Oden restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from Shibu Shinmichi Station. (Apparently about 15 minutes from Ebisu) I was invited by a friend and it was my first visit.
■ Atmosphere of the restaurant
- There are 15 seats at the counter. (There also seemed to be table seating in the back)
- The atmosphere is nice, so it seems like a good place for couples or small groups to relax and drink.
- The staff were friendly and attentive. They promptly provided a replacement when the yuzu pepper ran out.
■ Items ordered
▼ Appetizer
Yuzu radish
(Note) There were about 10 options to choose from!
▼ Oden
Egg, fish cake, thick tofu, beef tendon, hanpen (fish cake), radish, mochi, stuffed pouch
+ I also ordered a fish paste item recommended by the staff, which was chewy and had a great texture. (I forgot to ask the name of the fish... it's the yellow paste in the first photo)
- It was delicious with yuzu pepper instead of mustard!
- The radish and egg were so tasty!
▼ Other items
Seared stingray fin, ham cutlet, grilled rice ball, plum wine on the rocks
▼ Items of interest
Salt lemon sour
- The person sitting next to me was drinking this, and it looked like it would be perfect for Instagram!

A great izakaya with delicious oden! Located near Kairi Yu, it's the perfect place for a drink after a bath. They have a wide variety of oden that is very tasty, and their other dishes are also really delicious. I always end up eating too much. The staff is very polite, friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation and went to the restaurant. It was a bit of a walk from the station, but I found it easily because there was a sign. They had a wide variety of Japanese sake, and I was happy to be able to compare different kinds. I tried three types I had never had before. I personally liked the slightly sparkling Nigori sake called Yukigumo. The other sours were also very delicious, and the dashi-wari made with oden broth warmed me up. All the dishes, including oden, potato salad with boiled anago, egg asazuke, and sashimi, were delicious, and the staff talked to us, making us very satisfied. I recently got hooked on Lily Franky's radio show, so I was surprised to hear that Lily Franky designed the restaurant's logo. I'm curious about the sold-out fried horse mackerel, and I had such a great time that I want to go back again!

I visited a lovely shop quietly tucked away on a less crowded street. They have a wide variety of sake, with descriptions of each making it easy to try something new. You can choose from several appetizers. I had duck liver while my friend had umeshu jelly. The shop serves oden, but their other dishes were also delicious! I was excited to choose from their creative dishes. I tried their unique "gyoza oden" and it was delicious. My favorite was the "horse mackerel sashimi fry" - the rare and crispy mackerel fry was so satisfying! I will definitely visit again :) It's better to make a reservation in advance.

A rare and ultimate deep-fried horse mackerel can be enjoyed at Yoru no Mori, an izakaya near Happinness Shibuya in the vicinity of Namikibashi. The specialty of this place is not the oden or obanzai, but the ultimate deep-fried horse mackerel. It is made by frying the rare taste of sashimi-grade fish, and it is absolutely delicious. This is an oden and sake bar near Namikibashi in Shibuya. I had been curious about it for a while, so I stopped by on my way back from Shibuya and started drinking at 5 pm. The owner is Lily Franky, who also designed the logo for the shop. The atmosphere of the shop is really nice and cozy, with counter seats lined up neatly. The main oden here is delicious, especially the broth is amazing. They serve broth mixed with hot sake, and the late-night Chinese soba as a perfect ending, both in terms of taste and portion size. I started with a sparkling sake toast and chose one dish from the appetizer menu per person. The fried eggplant and cucumber pickles were both delicious and comforting. The oden here is really good, especially the radish which I ended up ordering more of. I also tried the oyster fry, salted chicken tempura, fried potatoes with sake lees butter, one-bite fried shumai, gakko cheese, grilled rice balls, and late-night Chinese soba. Everything was delicious and went well with sake. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. I used to think oden was for cold weather, but it's actually healthy and comforting, so I might want to come here all year round. I spent around 7,000 yen for one person, which I think is reasonable. I will definitely come back again!

I wanted to eat Ebisu gourmet oden, so I visited for the first time! I ordered daikon radish, beef tendon, egg, and small fish tempura oden. The daikon radish was delicious with a rich flavor! The oden was reasonably priced for the portion size of each item. The beef tendon could have been a bit more tender if it had been cooked a little longer. The beef tongue menchi katsu was crispy and juicy, very tasty! The recommended "ultimate fried horse mackerel" was almost raw and the coating was disappointing. The potato salad with conger eel had a strong sauce flavor. You can choose from about 10 different appetizers! They also offer a sake tasting, which is quite nice.

With friends. *Restaurant* Located about a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station in a quiet area, this small restaurant has only a counter and one private room. *Food* Everything we ate and drank was delicious! The oden was great, and the fried horse mackerel and potato salad were amazing.

Originally produced by Lily Frankie, this restaurant is located between Shibuya and Ebisu, a little walk from the station. It's a clean oden (Japanese hot pot) restaurant. If you order a lemon shochu highball, you can ask for a refill with just the "contents" for an extra 300 yen, which is a great deal for drinkers! They offer a selection of appetizers for the cover charge. They are open late, so it's a good option even if you're not looking to drink. Highly recommended dishes include the fried horse mackerel and the eel potato salad.

Oden restaurant in Ebisu! We had a reservation for 5:30 pm but arrived at 5 pm and they kindly let us in early. We sat at the counter in front of the oden menu, which had a variety of side dishes that I personally like, and of course, the oden itself was reasonably priced and had many options! We started with an appetizer where you could choose from a selection of dishes, and I ordered the white motsu stew. The signature dishes we tried were the conger eel potato salad, whole raw fry of horse mackerel, meat and tofu stew, corn oden, and dried fish tempura oden. The oden itself was lightly seasoned but had a flavorful broth, which I enjoyed. For drinks, we had homemade lemon sour, wasabi sour, and broth-infused shochu. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice, making it a good spot for a date or special occasion. Thank you for the meal!

There is a rumored shop called Relief Frankie between Shibuya and Ebisu where you can enjoy oden and sake. There are many snacks that go well with sake, and the oden has a delicious light broth. There is also shochu and sake that you can mix with the oden broth, which was also very tasty!

In recent times, the most personally appealing bar I've come across in Shibuya is a cozy spot with a counter-focused atmosphere. The main dish seems to be oden, and they offer a delicious "oden ponzu sake" with hot sake. They also serve a tempting "oden shochu" that is dangerously good. On this particular night, I ordered the oden dishes like "egg," "mackerel fish ball," and "cheese meatball skewer," along with some "beef tataki" and "Eikofuji" sake. To finish off, I had their "night-crying ramen" made with a flavorful broth. The portions were just right and everything was so satisfying. I regret not trying the fried horse mackerel, which seems to be a must-try. I will definitely be revisiting this place. The variety of appetizers and the selection of Japanese sake were impressive. The atmosphere, with its delicate and alluring signboard, exudes warmth and a hint of loneliness. It seems that Lily Frankie, the owner, might have had a hand in it. #oden #oden ponzu #night-crying ramen #Japanese sake

Visited a shop produced by Lily Franky. I was drawn in by the oden and soba. I'm used to Kansai flavors, so I'm picky about dashi, but the dashi here is delicious! Tried the scallop vinegar miso salad, motsu stew, oden with 5 assorted items, eel potato salad, nikudofu, Sendai-style meat soba, and Yonaki ramen (night only). Lily's lemon sour made with lemon is recommended. Convenient, good value for money, delicious, and satisfying! Will definitely go again!

I had been curious about Ebisu Yonamori that I found on Instagram, and I finally had the opportunity to visit with a friend on a weekday night in Shibuya. It was about a 12-13 minute walk from JR Shibuya Station, and the interior of the restaurant was mainly filled with tourists. There seemed to be a lot of Korean visitors. I was happy to see a wide variety of sake options, and I enjoyed being able to try a flight of three different kinds. I particularly liked the dashi-shochu with ponzu and the dashi-shochu with hot water. The food, including oden and obanzai, was all delicious. The fried horse mackerel seemed to be a specialty, but unfortunately, it was sold out on the day of my visit. I definitely want to go back again, but the distance from the station makes it a bit challenging to find the opportunity to do so.

I can't remember how many times I've visited, but the food was simply delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you order, but the potato salad paired with the grilled eel in the photo was especially outstanding. The selection of Japanese sake available was also top-notch.
