On February 25, 2023, we finished a joint birthday party at "#Niku to ieba Matsuda Osaka store" at 7:00 p.m. and decided to have a light drink before parting ways as it was too early to head home. We walked 10 minutes and arrived at "Bar Takayama" on Unagidani Minami Street in Higashishinsaibashi, a place I had been invited to by a foodie friend from Kyoto several times before, but this was my first visit. The quaint interior of the small restaurant had an L-shaped counter where the four of us settled in. We ordered a Dewar's Highball with a charm for 1,700 yen, which came with a charm of a potato soup pineapple back. Next to the bar, there was a green amoji decoration, and the flower language of amoji is said to be "having many friends" due to the image of multiple blooms from one bud on a single twig, making it a fitting decoration for welcoming four friends. The hot "potato soup" sprinkled with black pepper was served first, and it was deliciously hot! As I watched the ice being cut into cubes with a knife, I enjoyed the homemade soup made by the owner, which was incredibly tasty. Lately, I have been drinking a lot of highballs, and earlier at the joint birthday party, I enjoyed a "Yamazaki Highball," but the Scotch whiskey Dewar's had a rich aroma and a balanced taste that I think pairs especially well with highballs. The pineapple charm was very sweet with a light acidity, serving as a perfect palate cleanser between meat and alcohol. After about 30 minutes, the ladies headed to Namba Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, while the two men took the Sakaisuji Line from Nagahoribashi Station to head home. Bon appétit! (●^o^●)

In February 2023, after having dinner at "#Niku to ieba Matsuda", we moved to a bar in Higashi Shinsaibashi where a friend frequents. It's been a while since I've been to Higashi Shinsaibashi. The bar has a calm and mature atmosphere, with striking blue accents. Spring is almost here. The flower language is "many friends" (maybe not suitable for me). Sitting at the counter, I ordered a Dewar's highball for 1700 yen. While waiting, I enjoyed a warm potato soup. The highball was ready, so cheers! Even though I was full from dinner, I felt like I could drink plenty of alcohol. I relaxed and enjoyed the complimentary pineapple snack. Thank you for the meal!

After enjoying a Bunraku performance, I decided to have a drink before heading home. It was a beautiful night with a full moon, and I found a nostalgic little bar with a lovely atmosphere. The kind bartender, the flowers, and the cozy counter made me feel at ease. The warm cabbage soup was comforting, and the familiar highball tasted rich and satisfying. I also had a perfectly boiled egg with anchovy sauce, followed by a gin rickey. We chatted about this and that, and I left feeling a bit tipsy as I caught the subway home. I had planned to visit one more bar, but I was too full. I will definitely come back to see the friendly bartender again.

The street sparkles with passion blue~. Every night winking~. The other day, I sang Anri's "Cat's Eye" for the first time at karaoke (o^ ^o)♪ It reminded me of when I wore a leotard and danced with pom-poms in kindergarten. Oh, that gives away my age (*/▽\*)キャッ That song, well, has an adult image. As a child, I imagined a night street and cocktails. "Bar Takayama" is a bar in Kyoto where a lady in a bright red long coat took me. It's a story from over 2 and a half years ago!! Back then, we didn't wear masks, and the coronavirus didn't exist in Japan yet... So many things have happened in the past 2 and a half years. I wonder what the next 2 and a half years will bring, as I opened the ivy-covered door. Tonight, I visited Chisen's memorable bar with my partner. The bar has a quiet ambiance with dim lighting, the master's deep voice, and the whispers of regular customers echoing. Tonight's arrangement featured Japanese pampas grass, evoking the beginning of autumn. Last time I visited during the Christmas season, the arrangement was English holly with rounded holly leaves. The natural flower arrangement in the bar is lovely, isn't it? (^_-)-☆◉ I love gin and tonic with a generous lime. The tall and slender cocktail glass is beautiful, but gin and tonic is my favorite♡ Recently, I've been enjoying "Midori Soda" (*´◒`*)◉ Laphroaig 10-year-old. My partner had Laphroaig with a medicinal scent like "Seirogan" diluted with water. It's a pretty smoky whisky from Islay, right? It's quite peaty, so I'm not a fan, but maybe I'll be able to drink it when I grow up a bit more. (*´罒`*) I love bars, but none of my favorite bars were selected in the recently announced "Top 100 Bars"! I wonder what criteria they use for selection! Thank you for the meal (*´▽`人)

After enjoying delicious yakitori, we ended the night at Bar Takayama, located right next to the restaurant. My companion had visited with the customer before and kept mentioning their name to the master, trying to impress. The bar had a few regular customers, and my companion was very lively that night, showing off. We tried the 10-year-old Laphroaig, which I wanted on the rocks but had it with water because I had work early the next day. Even with water, it was strong. The charm of this place is that they usually serve unexpected home-cooked dishes, but that night we had delicious boiled peanuts. The peanuts were large and perfectly salted, very tasty. The atmosphere was great, truly a sophisticated adult social spot. It's a perfect place for a final drink in the Minami area, especially in Shinsaibashi. Thank you for the meal!

The atmosphere at Okame-san's oden shop is still bright even when it's late. It would be a waste to leave early. I felt like talking to the master a bit. But be careful, their highball is very strong. I asked for it to be diluted. The Dewar's highball in a beautiful glass, with a vase of branches always looking lovely. The highball is strong, but delicious. For the second round, I toasted with the master. We chatted with the family at the next table about travel. They asked if I prefer New York or Paris. I said I prefer Paris, as it suits an older person like me. Before I knew it, it was closing time. I stayed for a long time. I will come back. I hope this shop will always be here.

Before and after watching Bunraku, I had drinks. I watched Bunraku, ate gyoza, and walked from Nihonbashi Kuromon to Shinsaibashi. Takayama-san's usual branch arrangements were beautiful. On this day, there were peony cherry blossoms blooming. Dewar's highball was strong and delicious. Amaral tomato was sweet and delicious. I wanted to drink a little more, so I had a gin and tonic, which was also strong and delicious. I chatted with the master for a bit and left early. I was feeling fine, but as soon as I got home, I started feeling dizzy. I had drunk makgeolli in the afternoon, along with gyoza and draft beer, and had two drinks here, so I became quite weak. It's sad and pathetic. Unknowingly, I fell straight into bed. It's still a bit chilly, so I slept in my clothes, but I woke up and changed into pajamas before going back to sleep.

Before the drinking party at Namba Station on the Sakaisuji Line of Osaka Metro, we had a quick drink to catch up and meet for the first time. We found ourselves in a cool bar in a mixed neighborhood with restaurants, offices, elementary schools, and a police station. It's a place favored by older sisters. As we entered, the older sister led the way, followed by two henchmen, and we were asked what we would like to drink. We all ordered Dewar's Highball x3 as usual. The glasses were beautifully standing and the ice sparkled beautifully in the amber-colored Dewar's. Dewar's is just right in this kind of atmosphere. Then we said, "Let's take it easy" and the master, in a cool way, said, "Have a good time." So cool, too cool!

Here is the translation of the restaurant review content:
"You also said you wanted to go here! It's happening! Congratulations Melo-chan! The hotel is in Shinsaibashi, where we called a bellboy and were guided to Midosuji Christmas illumination. We're having a drink here. It's still early, so it's just the three of us. Of course, the Dewar's Highball comes as soon as we sit down, which is always nice. The flower arrangements are beautiful in this shop, and just looking at the calm face of the master makes me feel relieved. Just one drink, then we're off. Take care, the master bids us farewell as we head from Shinsaibashi to Namba. I forgot my scarf, it was a cold day."

It's still too early to eat oden in Namba, so I decided to go to a bar after the emergency declaration was lifted. I walked from Namba to the backstreets of Shinsaibashi with my heavy luggage, and it was really hot in Osaka as usual. I had my usual highball and enjoyed some fun conversations. The restaurant I had dinner at before was a bit lively that day, so I came here for a quieter and more relaxing atmosphere. I ended up staying until closing time at 9 pm. It was a day when I worked and played in this area, and I unexpectedly ran into a friend I haven't seen in 7 years. We were so engrossed in our conversation that I forgot to admire the usual lovely decorations in the shop. I will definitely come back here when I visit Osaka again. Whether it's chatting with the friendly bartender or just enjoying a drink in peace, it's a place that makes you want to come back.

Before an emergency situation arises, I went to a restaurant that closes at 9 PM, but it was hard to make it in time for dinner. I finished dinner at 7 PM and debated what to do until 9 PM. I decided to go check out the restaurant, thinking if it was crowded, I would leave. It was the new year, so there weren't many people around. I sat at the counter in Shinsaibashi and chatted with the master about old times. The Dewar's highball was delicious! The chocolate with the usual lovely branch decoration made me feel the history and determination of the restaurant. And on this day, it was the master's birthday! What a fateful day to visit. When 9 PM arrived, the lights went out. I hope this restaurant will always be here. I will come back again.

I ate too much in Nihonbashi and I feel uncomfortable(>人<;) But I wonder if I can still have a drink❓ I don't want to leave Osaka early since I'm staying overnight. Let's have a delicious drink and refresh before heading back❣️ It's still early for a bar, around seven o'clock, but when I opened the door, I was greeted by a lovely branch decoration. This month's feature is Fox Face❣️ It's like a yellow fox face. I'll have a highball, please. The difference between making it at home and having it at a bar is significant☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆ It's delicious, and I feel like saying thank you. I had four pieces of mackerel sushi for dinner, and it became the master's midnight snack. In Minami, there's Takayama-san, in the north, there's White Label, and in Kyoto, there's this Shimabeer and Mr. Kanno. It's nice to have bars you can easily go to alone*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*

I had a luxurious meat dinner at the Nikko Hotel and my stomach is full, but it would be a waste to go home now. Let's find a second place to go! We decided to go to my favorite restaurant, Bar Takayama, which is just a short walk from the Nikko Hotel. The entrance with ivy vines is beautiful, and the atmosphere inside is classy and adult-like. We had drinks like watered-down whiskey and gin and soda. I had chocolate and my companion had tomato juice. Despite his health-consciousness, he had two drinks. We quickly finished our drinks and said goodbye. Tomorrow, we have another tour in Minami-Morimachi with our friends, so we stayed overnight in Osaka. We took the metro from Shinsaibashi and then a bus from the nearest station to make sure we catch the last bus home.

Memorable Christmas Eve review at the recent date. "BAR Takayama" was the place. With a little bonus in hand, I went to Shinsaibashi to find a present for a special someone on this night. The city was filled with Christmas colors. A beautiful person in a bright red long coat invited me out. "I'm in Osaka, got rejected in red and navy. Are you available?" I'm available! Even as the second choice, it's fine. Wagging my tail in excitement. It's a yes! Met up at Daimaru Shinsaibashi. The tall figure looked stunning in the bright red long coat and berry-like short hair. Walking side by side was a bit of a pride. I can understand the feeling of a guy who wants to stroll through the night with a beautiful lady. Let's have a drink before dinner. Taken to a sophisticated and calm BAR. It's a place full of adult vibes. A place full of memories for Chisato. A quiet corner away from the lively Shinsaibashi, with no inbound tourists, just a peaceful atmosphere. Opening the door of the old BAR with brick walls and ivy leaves creeping. The master had a cool and calm demeanor. The interior was dimly lit, with beautiful lighting. A small Christmas wreath and holly arrangement. When people think of Christmas, they often imagine poinsettias, but I like the subtlety of holly. In Japan, the holly with jagged leaves is called "Chinese holly". On the other hand, the holly used in Europe and America for Christmas is called "Christmas holly" or "English holly". The holly displayed here was a true Christmas holly, with round edges. Chisato, who wanted a martini on an empty stomach, was gently scolded, and a light cocktail was requested from the master. Gin and tonic with a large lime, refreshing and perfect as an aperitif. I'm quite a good little sister, right? When I mentioned that I was hungry, the master's wife brought out a tripe stew as a complimentary appetizer. Not fancy, but the gentle flavor slowly seeped in. Chatting about memories, secrets, and girl talk, I got to know a slightly different side of Chisato that night. Just one drink, thank you for the meal. It's Christmas Eve tonight. Have a wonderful night☆彡 Merry Christmas' Another year has passed, and I'm grateful to have reached Christmas safely. A new year is beginning. I want to cherish gratitude and kindness, and spend each of the 365 days carefully. (о´∀`о)♡ yuyuyu. DEC.24.2019

Banana juice specialty store? The intriguing sign caught my attention. At night, it looks like a nice bar. Curious, I decided to visit. I've seen high-end bananas sold for 800 yen each, but this place is different. The counter seats only add to the charm of this place, making it a lovely spot. The lunch mats and banana decorations were cute. I asked if they only serve banana juice, and the staff showed me their menu full of banana juice variations. The standard is banana with milk, made with organic bananas and no sugar added. You can customize it with soy milk for an extra 80 yen, or with amazake for an extra 150 yen. You can also add toppings like cinnamon, black sesame, or kinako for an additional fee. The owner's wife, who runs this banana juice shop, came up with these variations out of love, inspired by making banana juice for her husband as a breakfast substitute after a night of drinking. The thought and care put into the menu is truly heartwarming. The shop is only open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm, but I might just have to find the time to visit again for a delicious banana juice made with love.

Before or after the meal, whether to heighten expectations for the meal or enjoy the aftertaste, both are good. Even though the bottles drank at home are the same, the taste is different, making me want to go back again. The master, with his sharp and neat appearance, has not changed since he was young, unlike me who has changed. The flower arrangements in glass vases are always wonderful, today it's wood strawberries? The master who quietly prepares the drinks behind the counter is so cool. The mojito is delicious beyond words. Next is gin, I used to drink gin rickeys a lot back in the day, reminiscing with friends. The charm is corn, and it tastes so good. I thought about bringing the rowdy youngsters after having oden the day before, but it was closed on Sundays. I wonder if many people come alone. I casually stopped by, drank delicious alcohol, enjoyed the elegant master, and the clear air filled with beauty. It was a happy time walking straight home that day.

A shop you should definitely avoid! They charge 3000 yen for a glass of whiskey, which is usually priced between 600 and 800 yen at other places. It's not a hotel or a high-end store, so it's completely unreasonable. Everyone, be careful.
