At the end of a drinking party in Kitashinchi, head to Bar Ishida in Dojima. Located on the 1.5th floor up a staircase, this authentic bar plays jazz music in a quiet atmosphere. Relax in the large, comfortable chairs and enjoy a fresh cocktail made by the master. For the first drink, try the "Horekko Shake" - a short cocktail shaken and stirred to create a soft and sweet grapefruit-like taste. For the second drink, go for the "Tomato Cocktail" made with cassis liqueur and tomato, offering a refreshing sweetness with occasional bits of tomato pulp. If you're not a fan of tomatoes, this cocktail is still enjoyable. My companion enjoyed the "Naniwa Gin Tonic" made with craft gin "ROKU," served with dried figs and peaches. Aside from fresh cocktails, there is a wide variety of other alcoholic beverages available. Thank you for the delicious drinks!

At the end of a drinking party in Kitashinchi, it's always Bar Ishida in Dojima. A calm adult space with jazz playing in the background. It's quiet and relaxing~ I love the fresh cocktails made by the master here ❤️ Tonight, I had a cocktail made with kumquats. The cocktail, filled with sweet kumquat fruits, has a perfect balance of vodka, soda, and tonic water, and it's incredibly delicious~ Eating the kumquat with its peel is also delicious, with the sweetness of the fruit and the bitterness of the peel filling your mouth with each bite~ (〃ω〃) I could easily have 5 glasses of this! For the second glass, I had a cocktail made with peach liqueur and Ehime's Harumimikan. It's sour~ sweet~ a vitamin C-rich fresh cocktail with alternating flavors that I drank just like juice (*>ω<*). To finish, I had a hot cocktail with Disaronno Amaretto, apricot liqueur, and yuzu honey-pickled yuzu, and tea. It warms you up from the inside ❤️+゚。*(*´∀`*)*。゚+ I enjoyed it deliciously tonight as well. Thank you for the meal☆

Tonight's final stop is BAR Ishida in the Kitashinchi area, located in Dojima. The address is on the first floor, but the bar itself is on the 1.5th floor after a short flight of stairs. This authentic bar with a calm atmosphere playing jazz music has a counter and tables in the back. I love the fresh cocktails made by the master here. Tonight, I had the "Strawberry Amao Cocktail," which was delicious with its thick texture and the crushed strawberry bits adding a nice texture. It gently soothes my tipsy brain. The "Turquoise" cocktail in a vivid sky blue color is made with craft gin from Osaka and has a hint of matcha. The matcha, with the hidden flavor of Suntory's Kanade White Chocolate, adds a sweet touch to the strong gin in this short cocktail. My companion had the Glenlivet soda highball, recommended by the master since the days before he opened his own place. The smooth Glenlivet goes well with soda and offers a delightful lingering taste. It's a time for adults to quietly relax at this bar where time seems to stand still. Another satisfying evening. After a year of opening, the restaurant has firmly established itself in Kita-Shinchi and has a sense of familiarity. I visited after a long time. I wonder if there's another hidden gem that I don't know about? The quiet master, who didn't say "there is," brought out this: Master Distillers Reserve Solera Vatted 1000ml, a large bottle indeed. And as expected, it was a Ritter bottle. Moreover, this is not available through normal procurement channels or retail stores. I was advised to drink it straight, not on the rocks or with water. Being obedient, I followed suit. Oh, this is smooth and delicious. I can sense nuances of pear and honey in the finish. It must be derived from the aged barrels. I took a chaser of room-temperature water in a rivet glass midway. By adding this water, the aroma is enhanced once again. It's like making my own twice-up. Equally delicious. For the second order, as it would be the last drink of the day, I opted for something refreshing. "An Islay Gin and Tonic, please." Islay Gin is made using botanicals from the island of Islay, where world-renowned distilleries like Bowmore and Laphroaig are located. It uses 22 botanicals harvested from the island. Truly a premium gin. A delicious gin and tonic with a floral and rich aroma and lingering finish. Ah! A young couple was happily enjoying their time. Knowing about bars like this is a big plus for young people. I hope their happy time continues forever. I remember a time when I had such moments... With that thought, I left the restaurant, reminiscing about 30 years ago. And thus, my July came to an end. Thank you for the meal.

This shop is located in the Kita-Shinchi area. The building of the building is a bit unique, and the shop is on the 1.5th floor. When you enter the store, there are no other customers, and quiet jazz music is playing. It seems that the previous customers have just left and the atmosphere is calm. The shelves in the store are filled with bottles, mainly whiskey, so it seems to be a whiskey-focused bar. Of course, there are also a few other types of alcohol like gin. I started with a Glenlivet bottle that caught my eye on the shelf. Glenlivet is a well-known single malt whiskey. This time, I tried the standard 12-year-old Glenlivet on the rocks. It's a good whiskey that I enjoy drinking occasionally. It doesn't have any strange taste, so it's recommended even for beginners. Next, I tried the new Suntory whiskey called "Ao." This whiskey is blended from whiskeys made at Suntory Group's distilleries in all five major whiskey-producing regions around the world. It was just released on April 16, 2019, and since my visit was on the 25th, it was still very new. I also had this on the rocks. Personally, I found that various flavors come together in a somewhat noisy way, making it a unique whiskey with different flavors. Lastly, the master recommended "BUSHMILLS" as the final whiskey. I've seen this whiskey recommended at other bars as well, so it seems to have many fans. It has a clean aftertaste and a strong aroma, making it quite delicious. There was one cocktail menu that caught my eye, so I decided to order it at the end. It was the "Rum and Espresso" cocktail. While it was being made, the aroma of espresso spread throughout the store. It was quite a nice scent. I thought it would be served hot, but it was actually shaken and served cold. When I took a sip, it was a very delicious espresso. The rum aroma was subtle, but the espresso aroma was dominant. It was a great way to end the night. Personally, I highly recommend it. As for the atmosphere, the store has counter seats and tables in the back. The store is quiet with jazz music playing, and the master interacts with customers while considering their positions. The master is young but has a calm demeanor that suits the atmosphere of the store. It's a bar that is easy to visit alone, regardless of gender.

For the owner, the opening of the bar was long-awaited. Mr. Ishida, who was the manager of the attic store in Brazil-Kaido, finally realized his dream of independence and became the owner. I heard this information and decided to include it in my long-awaited New World patrol route. When you open the wooden door, the back bar illuminated by indirect lighting jumps into view. Neatly displayed bottles shine in the light. Although there are box seats at the back, the main focus is on the bar counter. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the bottles on the counter. "He really hasn't changed his love for Glenlivet, has he?" Yes, the owner, Mr. Ishida, is a huge Glenlivet enthusiast, and his preference has not wavered. "So, do you have any bottles that I haven't tried yet?" I asked, and three black bottles appeared in front of me. They were Alpha, Cypha, and Code. I decided to order Code, which was released in Japan on June 18th. This whisky is shipped without information such as aging barrels, aging years, or tasting notes. It's quite rare and interesting. The whisky is served in a glass with a mask on it to prevent any preconceptions based on its color. This glass is one of the only remaining ones after the significant damage caused by the recent earthquake in northern Osaka. I raised my glass for the second time that day with my friend who had a transparent glass. Cheers! Oh, this is delicious! It has a mellow yet sweet nuance and a rich depth. As I drank it, I could feel a warm lump descending from my throat to my stomach. The finish was crisp and refreshing. This whisky must have been aged for a considerable period. The charge was ¥700, which is a bargain considering the location. The volume zone for one shot is between ¥1,000 and ¥1,500. The Glenlivet Code I drank was ¥1,800, so it came to a reasonable price of ¥2,500. If I ever feel like drinking whisky again, no, Glenlivet, I will come back here. By the way, it was my birthday on July 1st, and I remember you saying you were going to compete in a competition. I need to check how the results of the 45th National Bartender Skills Competition/15th Kansai Flair Bartender Skills Competition Regional Headquarters Representative Selection went. The man possessed by whisky now has his own castle. This bar is perfect for whisky enthusiasts, with an interesting selection and characters. Bon appétit.
