This is the eel sushi bento from Yashima in Tennoji. It is sold at the bento corner in front of Seven Eleven inside the JR Shin-Osaka Station. I lined up at the general register to pay. Inside the white showcase, there are various bentos lined up, and you can choose one and take it to the register. The bento title and price are clearly written, making it easy to understand. It is a bento of eel sushi packed in a pack. It's all about eel - nigiri, rolls, pressed sushi, and more. It comes with pickled ginger. I purchased it in the evening at Shin-Osaka Station and enjoyed it on the Shinkansen. The band on the pack says "Please eat it soon," so I decided to open it earlier than planned. I literally ate it quickly. It's fun to have eel sushi in various shapes. The eel and vinegared rice are delicious. If I had to ask for something more, I would love it if there was powdered sansho pepper. It costs 834 yen excluding tax per pack. I was satisfied with the rarity and deliciousness of having eel sushi bento. Thank you for the meal.

Osaka Maki from Hachijima. It's a regular futomaki sushi. This regular one is delicious ♥️ The "Osaka" in Osaka Maki catches your attention. The futomaki is heavy and full of volume (o^ O^)シ彡☆ It might make a nice little souvenir❗ Thank you for the meal ☀️

This is my first time posting a lunch box photo, which I have bought nearly 10 times for the first day of class. On the first day, I take the train from Tennoji to Hanwa Line, so I look forward to buying it here before that. The lunch box includes mackerel sushi, conger eel sushi, Osaka roll, and inari sushi. It also has box sushi and a mix of other items. They are all delicious. I intended to keep a record, but sometimes it's nice to look back. I tried to find previous photos, but it seems like I deleted them or never took them. The break room is spacious, and I eat lunch with other students, so it's hard to take many photos. The classroom is a large hall with about 150 students and participants. There is a cafe on the first floor of the building, but everyone rushes there or walks a bit to the cafeteria or convenience store. After using my brain, I don't want to eat something bad. In the past, when I was young, I used to have this plus a thick sushi roll. Recently, my appetite has decreased, and I only have this pack. I love box sushi from Osaka. I don't drink beer though. Sometimes, I buy it on my way back on the last day. The delicious-looking photos can be found on the restaurant's photo page.

In the past, I used to feel nervous at Shin-Osaka station, but now I'm used to it. Today, I had about 40 minutes before catching the Shinkansen, so I had time to leisurely buy some souvenirs. I usually rush and sometimes even have to dash to catch my train, but today I had time. I bought 6 meat buns and 10 shumai from my favorite 551 shop, 2 boxes for my family. I also got a red bean cheesecake from Delicheese, and then I saw some delicious-looking sushi rolls at a takeout shop near 551. I couldn't resist and bought one, even though it was a bit pricey at 700 yen for half a roll. I couldn't eat it on the train because I had already eaten a lot of Chinese food, so I enjoyed it with miso soup at home. The sushi roll had a variety of fillings and was neatly wrapped, making it easy to eat without spilling. The sushi rice wasn't too sweet, allowing the delicious fillings to shine. It was satisfying, and I look forward to buying it again.

I was in a rush and didn't have time for lunch, so I decided to buy some Osaka sushi from Yaso Island that I had been eyeing for a while. I sat on a bench at the station and enjoyed it. The Osaka sushi set cost 850 yen including tax and it included 3 pieces of rolled sushi, 2 pieces of battera, 2 pieces of anago, tamago, and ebi hako sushi each. When I opened the box, the delicious aroma of seaweed greeted me. It tasted nostalgic and the vinegar in the sushi rice was just right. I was satisfied and my favorite was the battera.

I had a little late-night snack. I've been suffering from a bad cold for about two weeks now - I'm weak when the seasons change. Finally, I can enjoy a late-night snack! But I need to watch my weight - if I don't eat, I'll lose weight. Maintenance is tough. Dogs, money, and weight never let me down. So, for my late-night snack, I had this delicious sushi roll with mackerel and pickled Japanese butterbur. It's a surprising combination, but it's really tasty! It would make a great gift too!

It's been a while since I visited Shin-Osaka Station. I wandered around the station market for the first time and bought a souvenir, Osaka Maki, for 1150 yen. When the staff asked me, "How many pairs of chopsticks would you like?" I replied, "Just one, please." They looked puzzled and asked, "Are you going to eat it alone?" When I got home, I enjoyed it with some sake. It was delicious, with a nice combination of shrimp and shiso. However, I couldn't finish it all by myself. I had two pieces and saved the rest for dinner with my wife. I usually don't find maki sushi very tasty, but the maki sushi here is something else.

I bought this mackerel and conger eel sushi bento at a shop in Antre Marche at Shin-Osaka Station on my way back from a business trip. I usually would have chosen tonkatsu, but feeling a bit full from overeating the day before, I opted for a light meal. The mackerel sushi was thick and satisfying, and the conger eel sushi was soft and perfectly sweet. The bento was simple, with just pickled ginger and soy sauce on the side. The rice was tightly packed, making it quite filling. I also bought a cream puff for a leisurely snack on the train. Despite feeling a bit bloated, the meal was delicious and satisfying.

I bought a sushi roll at Hachijima-san♪ located in Antremarche on the 3rd floor of JR Shin-Osaka Station. Next, I bought some sweets at the neighboring shop Rikuro-oji-san♪. As I was passing by Hachijima-san's shop, I couldn't help but notice their large sushi roll on display. The Osaka roll costs 1150 yen and is visually appealing and heavy when held. It contains eel, shrimp, egg, shiitake mushrooms, dried gourd, large leaves, and trefoil. The sweetness of the egg was just right and the vinegar in the sushi rice was well-balanced. The rolling and pressing of the sushi rice was done very neatly, showing the skill of the maker. I often make sushi rolls for my family, but I can't roll them as nicely as this one. Hachijima-san's sushi roll was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I bought some mackerel sushi and anago inari sushi at Osaka Station the night before boarding the Shinkansen. I love mackerel sushi with its thick, colorful slices. The perfect balance of fat and vinegar mixed with the rice, along with the umami from the kelp, made it delicious. The anago inari, on the other hand, was just okay. I wish I had just stuck with the anago sushi. I may have eaten a bit too much sushi, but the mackerel sushi was really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I decided to go with Osaka sushi for my last bento, as I wanted something representative of Osaka. After considering various options, I settled on "nisun roppun no kaiseki" - a beautiful mosaic of mackerel, shrimp, tamago, and anago. I found out that Yasojima sells this at a wagon stand in Shin-Osaka station, so I bought some before boarding the Shinkansen and enjoyed it at home. The mackerel and shrimp had a light vinegar flavor that paired well with the rice. The tamago was like castella, and the sweet and savory anago contrasted nicely with the other flavors. As I ate through the different pieces, a harmonious rhythm of flavors emerged, creating a delightful ensemble in my mouth. Occasionally, the tamagoyaki acted like a timpani, cleansing my palate with its dashi flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying meal that paired well with sake, making it a convenient option for future trips westward.

I was drawn to the "Osaka Sushi" display with four characters at a shop inside Shin-Osaka Station, just before transferring from the local line to the Shinkansen. I decided to buy it and take it home. The bento box contained pressed sushi with batter, eel, egg, and shrimp, along with a thick rolled sushi, all for 850 yen. Later on, I bought 4 or 5 more bento boxes at Tokyo Station for a bento party with my family at home. The pressed sushi was quite tasty. The eel had a nice flavor, so I regretted not buying the pressed sushi with grilled eel labeled as "Tsushima eel" that I saw later. But, since the bento boxes needed to be eaten on the same day, I realized it would have been too much (laughs). The batter sushi was also delicious. I thought I should try the mackerel sushi made with a thicker mackerel next time. Oh, the thick rolled sushi was called Osaka roll, and it was really good. The shrimp and egg pressed sushi were also not bad. I thought the Osaka Sushi (although I'm not sure what makes it Osaka-style) bento was very well-made.

About 25 years ago, on my return from a business trip in Osaka, a colleague recommended trying the delicious mackerel sushi. The prices ranged from 1,100 yen to 1,600 yen, which seemed surprisingly high compared to the 300 yen to 500 yen for mackerel sushi and famous battera. Despite my reluctance, my colleague encouraged me to buy it and eat it on the Shinkansen train. To my surprise, it was incredibly delicious. The thick-cut mackerel was tasty, and I became a fan since then. Today, I purchased mackerel sushi from Sushidokoro Yasushima for 2,000 yen. It was indeed delicious, and worth every penny. If you ever travel to Osaka, I highly recommend experiencing this taste.

I couldn't find this restaurant at first, but I finally found it and here is my review. During a visit to Yokohama, I was looking for a bento box at Shin-Osaka Station. I found a bento box that I had never tried before, called "Osaka Maki" which is a sushi roll with shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, egg, eel, and dried gourd. I purchased a half-size portion and enjoyed it with Kirin beer on the Shinkansen train. The bento box was filled with plenty of ingredients and the rice was delicious. It was easy to eat since it was already cut into pieces.

Inside the terminal building of JR Tennoji Station, there is a shop in front of the central ticket gate that mainly sells souvenirs. The shop was recently renovated last year, becoming larger and offering a wide variety of products. While looking for a bento box to eat on the journey, I came across some delicious Osaka sushi. Among the different types available, I purchased a half portion of anago sushi and futomaki sushi. Although I was on a bus heading from Namba OCAT to Maizuru, not a train, I decided to eat them after passing the Tannan Sasayama Interchange on the Maizuru Road. The anago sushi (900 yen) came with nigiri and thin rolls. The anago was plump and had a slightly sweet seasoning, providing a gentle flavor. It was comparable to the quality of Sakai's Fukiyasu. The futomaki, named Osaka Maki, was a luxurious roll filled with firm shrimp, egg, and other ingredients, with a light seasoning that I appreciated. Both dishes were high-quality offerings that lived up to the name of Osaka sushi. Next time, I might try their boxed sushi.

When using the Shinkansen, I often buy sushi at the store in Shin-Osaka Station. Osaka's boxed sushi and rolled sushi are favorites of my family, so it's very convenient. The rolled sushi is large with plenty of fillings. The ingredients are rich and the flavors are satisfying. Although the raw fish nigiri sushi is delicious, Osaka's pressed sushi is convenient for takeout. The sushi rice harmonizes well with toppings like shrimp, providing a comforting and delicious taste.

I've been curious about it for a while, so I bought Osaka Sushi and brought it home. Just seeing "Osaka" written on it makes me want to buy it, being born and raised in Osaka. But I didn't buy takoyaki. I was planning to buy mackerel sushi, but when I was about to pay, the conger eel sushi looked surprisingly delicious, so I ended up getting a set with that for 1350 yen. I brought it home with Penglai and set it on the dining table. My wife, who usually isn't interested in sushi, ended up eating two out of the three conger eel pieces. There's only one left for me. As expected, it was delicious as it looked. I knew for sure that she wouldn't eat the mackerel sushi, so I ate all of it. The mackerel sushi was quite thick and satisfying to eat. Even though everyone seems to focus on Edomae sushi, I wish more people, especially those from Osaka, would appreciate the craftsmanship of Osaka sushi a bit more. Don't say takoyaki and okonomiyaki are Osaka specialties, Japanese people. Those are just things you eat at home.
