Visited Kisoji at the end of the year♫ The parking lot was convenient. Probably because of the New Year's atmosphere at the entrance, I thought I could enjoy the seasonal feeling, but it was just normal. They were selling souvenirs. It felt like a fancy version of a family restaurant. There were various options like sukiyaki. Waited a bit at the entrance before being seated. It was crowded with families drinking from lunchtime! The end of the year is really busy! I was seated at a spacious table by myself. It felt quite elegant♫ Now, let's see what's on the special end-of-year menu:
- Tsumago: 2420 yen
- Sukiyaki set (American beef): 2200 yen
- Domestic beef loin: 2750 yen
- Wagyu marbled beef: 3850 yen
- Premium Wagyu marbled beef: 4180 yen
- Naraai: 3630 yen
- Hokkai set: 3850 yen
I want to have sukiyaki for dinner, and I don't want to miss out on having Hokkai set at the year-end party tonight... so "Tsumago" for 2420 yen seems reasonable♫ Here we go♫
After a while, the tray arrived. It was quite fast. A large tray with sashimi, grilled dishes, individual hot pot, chawanmushi, fried dish, rice, soup, pickles, and dessert. The sashimi was yellowtail and tuna, fresh and delicious. The grilled dishes were Spanish mackerel, lotus root, and rolled omelette. Makes me crave sake♫ I want to drink sake. Just this can go well with 2 cups♫ The chawanmushi was a bit cold but tasty. It would be even better if it was hot. The rice was mixed grain rice, healthy and delicious. I would like to have seconds if possible, but I have a year-end party tonight... can't lose at the party. The individual hot pot was duck and soba noodle hot pot with sides of mushrooms, duck, and soba. As expected from "Kisoji," it's soba♫ The broth was excellent. If they give me rice and egg, I want to make zosui (rice porridge). While sipping the red miso soup, I enjoyed the tempura shrimp. The tempura included shrimp, lotus root, and pumpkin. Lastly, dessert was a matcha sponge cake with sweet red bean paste and whipped cream (didn't hear the name). It felt like enjoying a mini banquet. A rehearsal for the year-end party. Well, I'm grateful to this restaurant for the delicious food again this year♫
