When entering the store, the smell of spices filled the air, reminiscent of the Chinatown in Singapore. Despite the questionable smell, the relaxed attitude of the Chinese staff felt authentic and reassuring. The restaurant was filled with solo diners and families enjoying their meals. Surprisingly, all the dishes ordered were delicious, exceeding expectations. I would definitely recommend this place for a casual and tasty meal. Here is what we ordered: - Bottle of beer ¥480 - Grilled lamb skewers ¥280 - Spinach and glass noodle salad ¥500 - Dried tofu strips ¥500 - Xi'an-style hamburger ¥500 - Stir-fried noodles ¥800 If you want to try delicious Xi'an cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. I visited this place on a weekday evening around 5 o'clock, and there was only one other customer at the time. The ordering system is done through scanning a QR code with your phone. I tried the oil-soaked noodles for 700 yen and the braised beef for 200 yen. The noodles were chewy and had a nice texture. As you mix in the broth, the spiciness gradually increases, but it was still enjoyable to eat. The braised beef was tender and a great topping choice. If you bring someone who can read Chinese, you can probably try a variety of other dishes as well.

I had been curious about Xi'an Menjo, which I had heard was delicious. It was always a candidate for ethnic lunches with friends, but I had been going to different places. The other day, I couldn't muster the energy to think about where to go, but the timing was right! Finally, I visited the restaurant. There were many Chinese customers, and although I can't speak Chinese, the staff seemed to understand Japanese. I felt grateful. I ordered the oil noodles that I had always wanted to try and the small crispy meat that caught my eye. I waited about 15 minutes for the order to be prepared. The oil noodles were amazing. When mixed well, the spicy umami flavor and the chewy, smooth wide noodles filled my mouth! The spiciness was just right. It wasn't too rich, and I could fully appreciate the presence of the noodles, so I was very satisfied! The small crispy meat looked like sweet and sour pork in the menu picture, but it was completely different! The pork, generously coated, seemed to be simmered in a broth. It had a soft, tender texture, almost like a baby could eat it (laughs). It was delicious in its own way!

The staff spoke to me in Chinese, and many customers were also conversing in languages other than Japanese. Ordering was easy using the touch panel with Japanese options available. This time, I ordered the oil soba with braised beef and giant topping from the specialty menu. The seasoning seemed authentic, but it lacked depth in flavor. I could only taste spiciness and the broth from the meat. I think it would be better if there was more umami from the sauce. The knife-cut noodles were chewy and had a good texture.

I visited a restaurant to have some "byan byan" noodles after a long time. Today, I ordered something from the menu that I couldn't read. It takes quite a bit of courage to see what comes out, but as long as there are no bugs or snakes, I should be able to eat it. What came out was chicken coated in potato starch and steamed. It was a delicious dish. For dessert, of course, I had the "byan byan" noodles. When I lifted it with chopsticks, it was about 1 meter long, but when I unfolded it, it was more than double that, so it's over 2 meters long (laughs). If I wanted to stretch it all out, I would need to stand on a chair or something. Anyway, it's a fun noodle to eat.

This time, I ordered Liangpi (700 yen) and Roujiamo (500 yen). It seems like the seasoning has changed because the Liangpi broth is now more spicy and less mellow compared to before. It is still delicious, but I preferred the previous taste. Despite the trend of price increases, this restaurant has not raised its prices and remains the same as last year! Grateful.

Today's lunch was at Xi'an Mianzhuang, which I had been looking forward to for a while. Since we had a group of hungry customers with us, we ordered various dishes in addition to the famous Biang Biang noodles. We had: - Tofu sliced in thin strips - Spicy stir-fried chicken - Steamed meat with flour - Xi'an hamburger - Hot and sour soup noodles The menu mentioned yakisoba, but I wonder if that's also Biang Biang noodles? There is also yakisoba with thin noodles available, so maybe that's something to look forward to next time.

I had some business in Namba and had lunch at Nishiya Mienjo. Since I didn't understand the menu very well, I asked the staff for recommendations and ordered the following: "Byan Byan Mien" with beef topping for 700 yen plus 200 yen for the beef. The beef seemed to be simmered in broth before being mixed in. I also ordered "Byan Byan Mien" with tomato and scrambled egg topping for 700 yen plus 100 yen for the topping. When I started mixing the noodles, a strong aroma rose, giving me the impression that it might be a bit unusual, but when I tasted it, there was a good balance and it had an authentic taste of genuine Chinese cuisine. It was really delicious. I gave the tomato one to my wife, and she said the beef one was simple and delicious. Thank you for the meal. The restaurant was filled with mostly Chinese people, and the language spoken was mostly Chinese. I almost felt like I was in China rather than Osaka.

I heard that you can eat Biang Biang noodles at a Chinese restaurant in Nihonbashi, so I decided to go there for lunch on a holiday. The entrance of the restaurant had a single Chinese character written on it, which I couldn't read. There were several menu options, but I went for the basic option - oil noodles for 700 yen, topped with braised beef for 200 yen, and tomato and egg stir-fry for 100 yen. The dish consisted of wide noodles without soup, topped with spices and toppings, which were mixed together before eating. The unique texture of the noodles reminded me of a dish from Kyushu, and the flavor was a combination of spicy sauce, tomato, and egg stir-fry, creating a mild and delicious taste. The texture of the meat also complemented the dish well. It was my first time trying this flavor, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were many other dishes on the menu, so I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I visited for the second time in a relatively short period. This time, I had the Sanratan noodles, while my companion had the pork and vegetable topping on the oil noodles. We also tried the spicy stir-fried chicken. The noodles were definitely over a meter long. The texture was varied and interesting. I wonder what flavor I should try next.

The northwest area of Japan's most international intersection (Nihonbashi Ichome intersection). My neighborhood, a few kilometers away, is becoming more Vietnamese. There are many interesting food and grocery stores to visit, although I have mixed feelings about living here. I decided to stop by Xi'an Men Zhuang, known for its Biang Biang noodles. It's very close to Japan's most international intersection. It's in the same block as Torijika. The friendly mama who runs the place greeted me, but I had trouble understanding the menu. I couldn't figure out which Biang Biang noodles to order. I showed a picture of what Mairebi had eaten and said I wanted that, which turned out to be oil noodles with beef topping. I heard noises coming from the kitchen and was curious, but I couldn't see because there were other customers in that direction. I'll sit on the other side next time to satisfy my curiosity. The dish I received was suiton, yaseuma, and a Biang Biang noodle dish that looked like dango. It came with vinegar, chili oil, and some kind of sauce. There were chili peppers and chopped green onions for garnish. There was also braised beef, komatsuna, and bean sprouts. The sauce was at the bottom, so I mixed it before eating. The noodles were chewy and delicious. I was so focused on eating that I forgot to check out the condiments on the table. There are other delicious-looking dishes on the menu, so I'll definitely come back. Oil noodles (oil soba) 700 yen, Braised beef (beef stew) 200 yen.

Passing through the door... no, climbing up the stairs that seem like they're about to collapse, you find yourself in Xi'an, China. The interior feels like a Chinese restaurant. Despite it being slightly past lunchtime, the place was packed. After waiting for about 10 minutes on the landing of the precarious stairs, a table became available and we were seated. With minimal explanations in Japanese on the menu, we used Google Camera to translate and decipher it. We ordered a salad with dried tofu, cumin stir-fried lamb, and a bowl of "bian bian" noodles with beef stew and topped with zha jiang. The dried tofu salad was easy to eat and made me think I could go on a diet just by eating this... I should buy some Chinese ingredients at the store next time. The cumin stir-fried lamb was flavorful with cumin and black pepper, making me regret not ordering alcohol. The "bian bian" noodles were over a meter long. These noodles... I really thought they were delicious. I want to try other toppings as well, so I'll visit again soon.

In Tokyo, there is a popular restaurant called "Nishian Knife-Cut Noodles" that serves knife-cut noodles. I had seen "Nishian Noodles" a few times while walking around the Nihonbashi area, and on this day, I suddenly felt like eating knife-cut noodles, so I remembered this place and decided to go. You take the elevator to the second floor. Inside the restaurant, there are several tables for four people and two people, and it's quite spacious. For some reason, I can't explain, but it gives off a Showa era vibe. The atmosphere outside the window also feels like the Showa era. The unintentional retro feel is cool. The menu is in Chinese, but the dish names are also written in Japanese, so you can somewhat imagine what each dish is. For those who don't know, it would be almost incomprehensible if it were only in Chinese. It seems that the dish "XX Knife-Cut Noodles" is not on the menu, so I chose the oil noodles. I added meat sauce as a topping to the base oil noodles (700 yen). The noodles, as shown in the photo, are wide hand-cut noodles that have a texture similar to knife-cut noodles. It had just the right amount of spiciness. It was easy to eat, so maybe they have adjusted it for Japanese tastes.

This is my go-to restaurant. I always order liangpi and roujiamo. The noodles in the liangpi are incredibly chewy, a texture I've never experienced in Japan, and it's extremely delicious. It may be impolite, but dipping the leftover liangpi sauce in the roujiamo makes it even more delicious! Most of the customers are Chinese, but the female staff can speak Japanese.

I received recommendations for a Xi'an cuisine restaurant from a student studying in Tsucho who is from Xi'an. Excited, my wife and I visited the restaurant. The entrance was a bit difficult to find, with a steep staircase, but we managed to enter. Inside, the atmosphere was filled with Chinese conversations. Luckily, the owner spoke Japanese fluently, so we were able to order easily. We ordered three dishes based on the recommended menu items: Xi'an cold noodles, Xi'an hamburger, and baked bread with lamb meat soup. The Xi'an cold noodles had a tangy soup with chewy noodles, while the Xi'an hamburger was made with grilled plain bread and flavorful pork. The baked bread with lamb meat soup was like a stew with chunks of wheat bread and tender lamb meat. All the dishes were simple yet delicious. We look forward to returning to try more dishes in the future.

The Chinese restaurant had a suspicious atmosphere, making me hesitate to enter. Inside, there was a couple and one man, all Chinese, with the restaurant lady sitting at a table watching TV. We ordered the Biang Biang noodles with beef topping and cumin stir-fried lamb. The TV was showing Chinese broadcasts, which was interesting. The cumin stir-fried lamb was tasty, but the lamb flavor was not very noticeable. Maybe it was because of a previous experience where we ordered lamb but got chicken instead, creating a sense of distrust. We asked for the spiciness to be mild, but it ended up not being spicy at all, leaving us slightly disappointed. Next, we tried the Biang Biang noodles, which were long and chewy, but lacked flavor. We had to add chili oil and soy sauce to enhance the taste. It reminded us of a previous experience with knife-cut noodles that also lacked flavor. Perhaps these dishes needed to be paired with something else to bring out their full potential. It was a shame because the noodles were delicious. Thank you for the meal! ✩⃛( ͒ •·̫• ͒) ===========

First visit. It's been a while since I had Xi'an noodles in Japan. The taste was just as I expected. If there is a branch nearby, I think I will visit every week. The stairs are a bit steep, so if you have concerns about your knees or legs, you should be careful. Taller people should be careful not only about their feet when going down, but also about their heads... They accepted PayPay as payment.

After getting drunk in Minami and passing by the front of the restaurant on my way home, I often hesitate to go in because I have to climb stairs to the second floor, which can be a hassle. This time, I decided to have a meal here before drinking. It was my first visit. As I entered the restaurant on the second floor, it felt like I had stepped into China. All the customers and staff were Chinese. Despite feeling a bit out of place, I didn't mind. There were only a few seats left, so I sat alone. There were no counter seats, only table seats. I ordered the Cartilage Noodle for 900 yen, along with Spinach and Glass Noodle Salad for 500 yen, and a bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer. The Spinach and Glass Noodle Salad arrived first, and even though it's hard to tell from the photo, the portion was generous. It had a hint of black vinegar, which made it tasty. Shortly after, the Cartilage Noodle was served. There were plenty of cartilage pieces. The noodles were the trending "Byan Byan" type. The soup had a unique aroma, somewhat reminiscent of Chinese herbal medicine, which I personally enjoyed. I took a sip, confirmed that the noodles didn't get soggy quickly, and quickly enjoyed the cartilage with a gulp of beer. Finally, I finished with the Cartilage Noodle. I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Biang Biang noodles! I received a recommendation from an online article and decided to try this restaurant, Xi'an Mianzhuang. The flavors were gentle and familiar, especially the meat sauce. There were many other menu options that I would like to try in the future. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I recently got hooked on wide noodles, so I wanted to try various dishes and visited a restaurant. I found the restaurant online, it looked delicious and there was another shop nearby that I wanted to visit. The restaurant was on the second floor up a staircase. It was a bit dimly lit but had a calming atmosphere. A staff member came out from the back and told us to sit wherever we liked. There were no other customers at the time. We sat at a table in the back, in a quiet atmosphere, and looked at the menu. The menu was a bit difficult to understand for me, but after looking closely, I found what I wanted to eat and confirmed it with the staff. I also ordered soup dumplings that I couldn't find on the menu by showing a picture to the staff. I ordered the oil noodles with wide noodles and meat sauce, as well as the Sanra soup dumplings. I could hear the sound of noodles being made in the kitchen. Handmade wide noodles have a texture that I think can become addictive. The taste will depend on whether it matches my preferences. The oil noodles arrived after a while. I mixed it well and transferred it to a plate. Since this was the second restaurant we were visiting, we decided to share both dishes. The meat sauce was surprisingly light, with a good balance of spices but not too spicy. It was easy to eat, with pork belly cooked in a sweet and savory sauce, boiled bean sprouts, and komatsuna mixed with the noodles. Adding black vinegar and chili oil on the table enhanced the flavor, which I enjoyed. My partner didn't like the black vinegar. There were many sauce options to choose from, so there might be one that suits my taste, but I was too full to try more today. My partner ordered the Sanra soup water dumplings because it looked delicious, and we shared a bite. This dish was more to my liking! The soup had a strong black vinegar flavor, with hijiki and other ingredients. When it arrived, the suspiciously black soup had a nice nutty aroma, which intrigued me. I was worried that the black vinegar might be too strong, but the water dumplings had a very flavorful filling! The garlic and ginger packed a punch that stood up well against the sour soup. My partner, who doesn't like black vinegar, also enjoyed it and kept eating. Would you like some fried rice? I asked my partner, who couldn't find it on the menu and gave up. Later, we found it on the menu, and it did look delicious with the fried rice. We were already full, so I left it up to my partner to order. There are many interesting items on the menu that I would like to try, such as wide noodles and water dumplings. Handmade noodles. I think I will continue to enjoy this for a while.
