During winter, it's best to avoid heavy meals due to reduced physical activity, but human desires don't always align with convenience. I saw an enticing limited-time offer on the blog of my favorite "Thick Clear Stream Ramen" shop owner, so I rushed over. I arrived after 7:00 PM, hoping it wasn't sold out yet. Luckily, it wasn't, so I quickly purchased a ticket from the machine and took a seat near the counter. In front of me was the mysterious "noodle room" where the thick noodles are made. I've always wanted to peek inside at least once. Last time, the "Shirunashi no Kami" had diced pork on top, but I'm excited to see what has evolved in the "Shirunashi no Kami 3". This time, I ordered a regular size instead of a mini. The kitchen was as usual, with the owner handling everything alone. He was boiling the thick noodles and cooking the meat in a frying pan. After a few minutes of waiting, a bowl with a generous amount of meat in a large mortar appeared before me! Oh, this is chicken! "3" seems to be the chicken version. The sheer amount of meat was impressive. Comparing it to a tall glass, you can imagine how large the mortar is. The heart-shaped fried egg added a touch of cuteness to the powerful visual. First, I tackled the abundant vegetables. The crunchy texture of the blanched vegetables was enjoyable. Peeking into the bottom of the mortar, there was plenty of dark sweet and savory sauce. The harmony between the meat's oil and this sauce was excellent! When I slurped up the thick noodles, I was amazed by how delicious they were! The firm and thick noodles perfectly absorbed the sauce. And being a "regular" size, there was a substantial amount of noodles. By letting the vegetables soak up the sauce, the natural and gentle sweetness of the vegetables stood out. And the delicious chicken meat piled on top! However, it seemed like it would never end no matter how much I ate. I started to feel a slight anxiety about finishing it. So, before my fullness set in, I quickly devoured the noodles, vegetables, and meat all together. I also broke the cute heart-shaped fried egg. The change in flavor was a nice touch. As I approached the end, I sprinkled some sansho pepper and finished it all in one go! It was a close call. The regular size was indeed a tough opponent for me (laughs). It was a weekday, so I opted for no garlic, but it still packed a powerful punch. If "Shirunashi no Kami" is pork loin and "3" is chicken thigh, then I'm even more curious about "2". ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ I'm exploring noodles in Kansai. "But I still love noodles after all."
