I want to go to the ramen shop in Shime-cho that Mairevi-sama recommended. There was also a yakiniku restaurant in Shime-cho that I wanted to try. If I eat yakiniku and finish with ramen, it will be killing two birds with one stone. I take a bus from Ohori Park, and there are many high school girls on their way to school, which is a feast for the eyes. I arrive at 4:30 PM to prepare for the 5:00 PM opening. First, I buy a hamburger at Danran two doors down, but after waiting in the pouring rain for a while, the shutter remains tightly closed. It's not open yet at 5:01 PM. Maybe it's closed after all. I call from right in front of the store, and they say, "We'll be opening soon," so I'm relieved that I came all the way to Shime-cho. The sizzling iron plate is greasy, but it's clean, with a nostalgic atmosphere like a Showa-era izakaya. I like this kind of place. It reminds me of Seiryu in Nanakuma. The draft beer is not well maintained, so I switch to bottled beer from the second glass. I start with tongue. The color has changed, but it's just delicious tongue. Next is top loin. Probably American. Tender meat doesn't necessarily mean delicious meat, but this top loin is, to put it negatively, tough. Positively, it has a good chew. The tripe is incredibly delicious. And the key to yakiniku is the sauce. My favorite yakiniku restaurants - Ushichan in Shimonoseki, Seiryu in Nanakuma, Soyoen in Teruha, and my favorite yakiniku restaurant, Nabeshima. What they all have in common is delicious sauce. On the other hand, it's a shame that the sauce at Nikumatsuya in Nishijin, Wakyura in Kego, and Gokumiya in Fukuoka is not quite right. The sauce at this Shokudoen is delicious. A delicious sauce is the essence of yakiniku. While I'm enjoying the food, many dishes start lining up on another table. The owner is sitting at that table. Are they having dinner now? Or are they customers? After a while, three customers and, surprisingly, the owner and his wife also sit at that table and the banquet begins. I'm included with three sets of customers and the three of them, but the people at the restaurant have joined in the party. It's the first time I've seen a restaurant like this. The wife takes orders and moves briskly, but the owner has completely abandoned his work. The sight is amusing, and I can't help but drink more. The customers finally leave by car. It's not the condition to drive, but in the countryside where there is no public transportation, as a young person, I can't say anything. I follow the regulations and take the bus to the ramen shop. Despite the heavy rain special warning in Fukuoka, Saga, and Nagasaki, the yakiniku was delicious.
