I ordered a banana tart and a pear tart. The banana tart was a bit too sweet for me, but it was delicious when I shared it with my husband! The pear tart had a lot of pear on it and was very tasty! The price was around 300 yen. We went in the evening, and even though there were price tags, some cakes were already sold out. I wonder if there are more varieties if you go earlier? I want to go earlier next time.

I happened to come across a charming little shop with a sign that caught my eye, so I decided to stop by. The shop was small but clean, and the display case was filled with cute cakes and puddings. Next to the register, there were madeleines and cookies lined up, and a lovely staff member was there to assist. The cakes all looked delicious, making it hard to choose, but I ended up getting a cute pudding with a cow drawing, a cream-filled choux cream, and a cheesecake. They were all small but looked scrumptious. I brought them home for tea time. The choux cream was filled generously with custard and had a light texture that wasn't too sweet. The cheesecake was fluffy from the moment I put my spoon in, and it melted in my mouth like snow. The pudding was soft and melted in my mouth as well. None of them were overly sweet, and they were all very tasty! This is a patisserie that I would love to visit again and again.

I visited this charming pastry shop in Bihoro-cho on a holiday, after finishing some errands elsewhere. Located just off Route 243, you can find it by turning right at the intersection near SM City Bihoro and HC Homac. The shop is small, but has a warm and cozy atmosphere. When I arrived around 3:50 PM, I was the only customer. The owner, a kind lady, greeted me with a smile. Although the selection was limited due to the late hour, the prices were reasonable and I was tempted to try everything. I decided to go with a cream puff this time. There were only two left in the display case, but when I asked for three, the owner kindly brought out one more for me. After paying, she bowed deeply, making me feel a bit embarrassed. When I finally tried the cream puff at home, I was amazed by the delicious taste of custard and whipped cream for only 130 yen. It seems to be a husband-and-wife-run shop, and I was charmed by the lovely pastries they offer. They were also accepting reservations for Christmas cakes, which I'm sure must be delicious. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

"Black Cat Western Confectionery" makes me dislike Sundays in the countryside because it's always closed. I went far to buy meat only to find out it was sold out for the day. Then, back in town, I found the "Black Cat Western Confectionery shop." The name is intriguing, but the sweets didn't look very appetizing. It's located in Hoppocho, at the midpoint of National Route 39 towards Super City. The navigation said "arrived," but what's this? The exterior doesn't look like a cake shop, but the interior is quite stylish. I parked my car next to the shop and went inside to find a lovely store. When I mentioned how lovely the store was, the cute girl there gave me the sweetest smile and said, "Thank you." Oh my, I'm an old man (sweating). I bought a Mont Blanc, a cream puff, and a fruit roll cake. Even though I haven't tried them yet, I already love this store. I chose the cream puff. It didn't have whipped cream, but the custard was rich and not overly sweet. The fruit roll cake had a white appearance, and the texture was perfect, but the taste felt a bit lacking. Maybe it's because they didn't use egg yolks? Overall, the texture and moistness were excellent. As for the Mont Blanc, I'll leave it for my wife. We haven't been getting along lately, so I bought it just to keep the peace...

I was really curious because I have a cat. The female owner of the shop was sitting and typing on her computer. It seemed like they were selling well because there was only one piece of pudding a la mode left. I was indecisive but ended up buying three. The matcha parfait I saw on Tabelog was sold out, so I tried the new item called "Tabel" (which I found out later from the photo). I asked if I could take a photo during packaging, and the owner said it was okay. I will eat them with my husband. My husband asked if there was a black cat, but there wasn't. We tried the white roll cake first. My husband said it was light and delicious, but I wanted it to be sweeter. The matcha one was my favorite, it was delicious! The chocolate banana one was fluffy. It seems like cakes nowadays are all less sweet. I think the matcha one is the best for me.

◆June 2014◆ A cake shop that opened in January this year. It is located next to the ramen hall, and it seems like there used to be a rice shop there before. They open at 10 o'clock, and by early afternoon, they often sell out. Despite the name "Black Cat Confectionery," which gives the impression of a traditional sweets shop, the exterior has a chic and stylish black and white theme. There are black cat goods placed all around and they sell black cat cookies, so they must really like cats. The shop is not very spacious, but they also sell baked goods in addition to cakes. They have around 15 types of cakes. [Items purchased] - Matcha Parfait - Chocolate Mousse - Cream Puff - Carrot Cookies - Cat Cookies The Matcha Parfait is like a sweet red bean soup with chestnuts, rice cakes, and sesame. The Carrot Cookies have a slight salty taste and are delicious. The carrot flavor is not very strong, so it might be good for children. The Cat Cookies are very cute and I ended up displaying them for a while before eating. The impression I got from tasting them was that they are not flashy but made with care. After me, more and more customers kept coming in, and it got crowded. Next time, I would like to try their tarts or roll cakes.

I visited a newly opened black cat confectionery shop in Bihoro Town this year. The showcase displayed a variety of Western-style sweets, from basic items like shortcake and cream puffs to stylish layered cakes and mousses. There is also a baked goods corner on the right side after entering the shop. - Fruit Rouge Tart (\330-) A cookie dough base with a light almond cream, topped with custard, fruits, and whipped cream. The fruits include strawberries, two blueberries, blackberries, and two red currants, all fresh instead of frozen. The fact that it is not glazed may be a sign of confidence. Described as "a tart with a strong presence of the tart crust, different from a berry tart," the base alone is delicious enough to stand out. - Fruit Roll (\330-) Soft white dough rolled with bananas, kiwis, oranges, and strawberries, with white chocolate cream on the outside sprinkled with powdered sugar. The cream sandwiched with the fruits is yogurt-flavored and delicious. The dough may look thick, but it is like a chiffon cake, so it doesn't feel like just dough, and the cream is not heavy, making it well-balanced. Both items impressed with good ingredients presented simply and meticulous work.

There used to be a rice shop called Kusano Komekoku-ten, but now a cake shop has opened there. I heard it was delicious, so I decided to check it out. They don't make a lot of cakes, so sometimes they may run out of what you want by evening. They are open until 7pm, but they close once they run out of cakes. I visited in the morning to make sure I got some. I bought a few different kinds and tried them with my family. It was a pleasant surprise. The cakes were all very well-made. I could tell they put a lot of care into their work. The prices may seem a bit high for the size in Bihoro-cho, but around 300 yen for one cake is understandable. I personally like that their pudding containers are plastic, unlike many other shops that use glass. The cream puff costs 130 yen, and the roll cake costs 850 yen. I really enjoyed the roll cake with its chewy texture. It has custard cream in the center, wrapped in whipped cream. It's not too sweet, so I ended up eating about half of it in one go. I would definitely love to visit this shop again when I'm in the area. The parking space is on the cake shop side, in the vacant lot between the shop and the neighboring ramen restaurant.

After eating at the ramen shop next door, my wife, who loves cats, was charmed by the cute cat sign. Although the lack of an eat-in space makes it somewhat plain for a Western confectionery shop, we purchased a banana shortcake and a pudding. The banana shortcake had a slightly sour chocolate cream, which was delicious but not mind-blowing. The pudding, described as a "cow pudding," leaned more towards a milky taste rather than a custard-like one. It was a soft, white pudding that, in my opinion, didn't need caramel. However, the caramel here was not too intense or bitter, and it actually complemented the pudding well. Mixing them together made it even more delicious.
