マルコメ
Today's lunch was at Sanpomen Sanpomen Zan Sakaisuji-ten in Osaka, Sakaisuji Honmachi. It's my second time here, I think. This ramen chain originated in Kobe. I had the following: Shigure Niku Soba (680 yen) with a mini fried rice set (+250 yen). When you think of Sanpomen, you usually think of tsukemen or rich tonkotsu broth, but I didn't know they also serve a "meat soba" like Marugen Ramen. So, I decided to order it. I purchased my meal ticket from the vending machine and sat at the counter to wait. The staff were of Chinese descent. After a short wait, the fried rice arrived first. It looked delicious. Then, a few minutes later, the meat soba was served. This grated daikon with chili pepper on top is great. The balance of refreshing, spicy, and the soy-based soup is perfect. Itadakimasu. Hmm, tasty. However, I feel like there's a lack of umami for something labeled as "meat soba." The balance of refreshing, spicy, and the umami from the meat/fat is not quite there. I still think Marugen Ramen's version is tastier. Next, the fried rice. A mini portion. Hmm, simple and delicious. It's like homemade fried rice, not greasy, with a moist flavor. Finished it all. Ah, I indulged in the forbidden combination of ramen and fried rice again. All gone. Menu 1, Menu 2, Storefront. Website: https://sanpomen.jp/
