Food that is enjoyable with both alcohol and rice, and also enjoyable conversations. High satisfaction can be found in a wide range of seafood dishes, from seasonal fish to snacks like chilled tomatoes. The alcohol selection ranges from whiskey to sake, making it a satisfying bar experience. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Despite being a cozy hidden gem bar, this place offers a wide variety of food menu options, making it feel more like an izakaya. It is very versatile and suitable for various occasions (date night, casual drinks, hanging out with friends). You can expect to spend around 6000 yen for two people, and the highlight is the opportunity to watch the bartenders craft your drinks at the counter.

The bar is the main focus, but the food is incredibly delicious. When you order bouillabaisse or mussels, they use the broth to make pasta afterwards. I really like this, so this time I ordered mussels again. I also ordered tempura of small sweetfish, which had a nice bitterness that added a good accent.

I arrived in Kyoto and checked into my hotel in advance, so I chose this restaurant because it was already 10pm. Due to the influence of the coronavirus, many places are closing early, making this restaurant a rare find. It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was almost full. The menu had a variety of dishes from sashimi to bagna cauda, ajillo, and pasta. The deep-fried young ayu was slightly bitter and went well with sake. The shrimp ajillo was so delicious that I ended up getting another baguette. I also had a cocktail made with persimmon liqueur and orange juice, which was easy to drink and I ended up getting a refill. I was quite hungry, so I ordered a lot of food in addition to what is shown in the photos, which made the bill a bit pricey. I highly recommend this place for those who want to have a proper meal later in the evening in this area!

I saw it on Suruga Bay Sakurako's blog and made a reservation to visit. It's a convenient bar with a wide variety of seafood menu and open until early morning. It's a shame that smoking is allowed... I started with a frozen peach cocktail. It was smooth, easy to drink, and delicious. The bonito salt tataki, large clam tempura, seafood gratin, and aqua pazza were all very delicious. I was surprised by how delicious the tartar sauce served with the fried potatoes was! For my second drink, I tried Clamat. It seems like it would be good as a soup base too. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere very pleasant. Thank you for the meal!! I would like to try different menu items next time!!

I have been using this place for about 3 or 4 years, even before dating my husband. The staff are all so kind and funny, I love the atmosphere. Even though it's a bar, the food is really high quality and makes you feel luxurious. It's always busy, so it's hard to get a reservation on weekends. It's a really wonderful place and I want to keep it a secret, but the delicious drinks keep coming. Highly recommended!

It's great to find a place where you can enjoy both high-quality food and drinks at three different bars. The menu includes grilled shirako, firefly squid marinated in sake, and aqua pazza with shrimp and shellfish (which can also be served with pasta). This restaurant is perfect for dinner or for a casual drink, and it's versatile for various occasions.

Located right by Sanjo Station on Kiyamachi Street, this bar exudes a lively atmosphere. Despite the significant delay in posting, I visited this place for New Year's Eve. The staff's energy is incredible! I was overwhelmed the moment I walked in (laughs). I've never seen people this cheerful before. The best. All the staff members are so bright. I'm glad I spent New Year's Eve here! It was such a fun time. Not only is the atmosphere great, but the food is also delicious. The marinated raw fish dish was especially tasty. Even though it was our second stop, we ended up eating pasta and rice balls. I wish I could have tried more dishes because they were so good. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I have been using this restaurant for about 10 years! Whenever I go, I can enjoy fresh and delicious oysters. As a oyster lover, I am truly grateful. There are also a variety of fruit cocktails and highballs at the bar, and I also use the bar, but all the dishes are delicious, so even if you just use it for dinner when you are hungry, it is recommended. Highly recommended are the fresh oysters and crab miso bagna càuda. I always have them every time.

This bar offers dishes that are more than just typical izakaya food. There are usually two chefs on hand who prepare dishes that go well with alcohol. Some dishes may have a slightly strong salty taste. The recommended wheat gluten pizza is chewy and delicious. There is a wide variety of fish dishes, and the bonito sashimi was also tasty. Of course, there are plenty of cocktails available as well. It's a great place for both starting and ending your night out. The staff is friendly and efficient, but the place is always crowded. Also, smoking is allowed, so the smell can be a bit bothersome.

I revisited this place recently, and it's a cozy spot with delicious food and drinks that I love. The variety of drinks is impressive, and they can even make original ones based on your preference. The food options are all so tasty that it's hard to decide what to order. Whether it's appetizers, fish, meat, or the finishing dish, everything is delicious. The atmosphere and the staff are also wonderful, so it looks like I found my new favorite spot. Thank you again for a great experience!

This time, I visited this restaurant for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. The food and drinks were incredibly delicious. They have a wide variety of drinks, and if you tell them your preference, they can even make you an original drink. The dishes were all so tasty that it was hard to decide what to order. The atmosphere and the staff were also wonderful, so I think I will make this my regular spot. Thank you so much.

A great mix of bar, bistro, and izakaya with surprisingly delicious food. The bar is very stylish and the meals are top-notch. You can also ask for custom cocktails. The place is not very spacious but it's the kind of place you'll want to visit again and again. Perfect for when you want to treat yourself a little.

The name of the place was a bar, so I wasn't expecting much for the food, but I was surprised. The food menu was extensive and not just bar food. The taste was also really high quality. And they had Irish coffee, which you don't see often. It was so good. I had two cups, one at the beginning and one at the end. The sashimi, other dishes, and drinks were all at a frighteningly high level of quality.

Red Star Beer 2 bottles, 3 glasses of chilled sake, 1 mojito, 1 sangria, oolong tea, eggplant balsamic vinegar stew, raw oysters, grilled oysters, steamed coppe crab, butter-grilled Mie clams, salted bonito tataki, green pepper namero, napolitan, smoked chicken cheese curry ⭐️ The oysters were creamy, sweet, and amazing! ⭐️ The bonito and grilled oysters were also delicious, with a perfect balance of smokiness and flavor. The careful preparation of each ingredient brought out their natural flavors, which was outstanding. In Kyoto where flavors tend to be subtle, the seasoning here was exceptional. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again. Total for 2 people: 20,040 yen.

It had been a while since my wife and I had a meal together, so we decided to visit this restaurant. The restaurant was located on the 4th floor of a building, and as soon as we got off the elevator, we could see that it was bustling with many customers. The table seats were all taken, but there was a little space at the counter, so we were able to be seated right away. The menu for drinks and food was extensive, and we had a hard time deciding what to order. We ended up choosing a few recommended dishes for the day. I ordered a Kirin Lager (600 yen for a small bottle), and my wife ordered a non-alcoholic beer (600 yen). For food, we ordered a 5-kind sashimi platter (1,800 yen), Hiroshima oyster fry (800 yen), grilled mullet roe with ponzu sauce (600 yen), and a Margherita pizza (900 yen). The 5-kind sashimi platter allowed us to choose between sashimi and carpaccio, and we chose sashimi. The platter included 2 pieces each of sea bream, salmon, sesame mackerel, turban shell, and cutlassfish. The turban shell was thick and very delicious. The oyster fry was large and tasty, but the batter had quite a bit of oil left in it, which was a bit disappointing. The Margherita pizza had a soft and chewy texture due to the use of fresh gluten in the dough, and the flavors of cheese and basil were prominent. The grilled mullet roe with ponzu sauce had a rich flavor of roe and a smoky aroma from grilling, and it was light and delicious with grated radish and ponzu sauce. I also ordered a glass of Hiroto River sake (700 yen) as an additional drink, and it was very easy to drink. The service was excellent, but I felt that the amount of alcohol and food was a bit small for the price. Next time we visit, I would like to try different menu items.

Today, I went to a dining bar called Bar MICHIya located on the 4th floor of a building at the corner of Sanjo Kiya-machi. It stays open until 3 am at night. When I took the elevator up to the 4th floor, I found the entrance to the bar right after getting off the elevator. Through the large glass windows, I could see a panoramic view of Kiya-machi street. The interior of the bar was lovely and the bartender, who had a cheerful demeanor, gave me a coaster with the bar's logo on it. Despite the early hour, the counter seats in the bar were bustling with customers. I started off with a beer, Heartland. For appetizers, I ordered a platter of three assorted dishes and shrimp ajillo. The bar also specializes in seafood dishes. The ajillo came with a side of baguette. The shrimp had a firm texture and the garlic-flavored oil was delicious. I enjoyed dipping the baguette in the olive oil as well. The bar recommended their oyster dishes, so I also ordered the 2L size oysters from Senhoshi, Hokkaido. These oysters were big and had a smooth texture, with the essence of oysters spreading in my mouth when I savored them. I also tried a chicken liver pate that was generously shared by a lady at the next table. The liver had a hint of sweetness, possibly from honey. It was also delicious. The bar changes its oyster suppliers seasonally, so you can enjoy oyster dishes all year round. One popular menu item is the "oyster kettle steamed with kombu and oysters." If you visit with a few people, I was told this is a must-try dish. While listening to the bartender's lively stories, I had a great time drinking. It was a wonderful dining bar with a great atmosphere!

It is a restaurant located near Kiyamachi Sanjo in Kyoto. It was getting late and I wanted to have a drink, but I also wanted to have dinner and eat some fish. I didn't feel like going to an izakaya, so I searched and found this place. I called ahead to let them know I was coming. It's a bar on the 4th floor overlooking the Takase River. I sat at the counter, ordered a beer and sashimi, and looked at the menu to decide on my next order. I added fresh oysters, white shrimp tempura, and black wagyu steak, and enjoyed them with sangria and Macallan. Even though it's a bar, they also serve delicious fish because their affiliated store specializes in fresh seafood. It was nice! On the way back, I had a satisfying bowl of rich pork bone ramen. I'm happy with my experience.
