During my hot spring trip to Noboribetsu, I stayed at this hotel. The building and room were a bit old, and there were fewer hot spring baths compared to the large hotels nearby. However, the dinner and breakfast buffets had a wide variety of dishes, with unique and delicious options. The price may vary depending on the reservation timing and plan, but in my case, it was around 9,000 yen for one night with two meals included, which I found very reasonable. The staff were polite and the buffet style meals would be great for those who enjoy them.

During the months of June to August, a limited-time menu featuring 21 dishes using summer ingredients and flavors is available. Dishes include "Grilled Eggplant with Jelly," "Ethnic Grilled Chicken," and "Summer Vegetables and Chicken with Honey Mustard." The live kitchen offers a variety of freshly prepared dishes including Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, as well as Ainu-inspired local dishes and international cuisine. There are around 90 dinner options and 80 breakfast options, including unique Ainu dishes. Coffee and tea are complimentary, but other soft drinks are charged separately.

I stayed at Noboribetsu Manseikaku with a friend and would like to express my gratitude to the staff by writing on Tabelog. Our main purpose this time was to enjoy the day trip at the Grand Hotel's sauna (Demon Sauna) and the sauna at Manseikaku, as well as to spend time chatting with my friend. Although food was not our top priority, Manseikaku did not disappoint! We had a great time during meals as well!!! We were told that check-in was possible from 2:30 pm, but we arrived at 1 pm and were told, "If you're just here for the hot springs, you can go ahead and use them." Being able to use the hot springs before check-in was a pleasant surprise. The limited-edition tamago konnyaku flavor that started at around 3 pm was incredibly delicious, the best tamago konnyaku I've ever had!! After visiting the Grand Hotel's Demon Sauna once, we had a dinner buffet. The two types of pasta were delightfully chewy and ranked number one ✨ We enjoyed the contrast of hot and cold by adding soft serve ice cream to the oshiruko. Everyone ate well, so we continued eating without any breaks for an hour and a half in the evening and morning. When my friend and I were hesitating over the bon festival exchange, the staff quickly came to our aid. They also quickly put some children's snacks in a cup and brought them to our table, even though we were hesitant to take them. I was deeply moved by the hospitality of the staff. For breakfast, I went around several times for French toast, pasta, and onigiri. After breakfast, the elevator was crowded, so I looked for stairs but couldn't find any. I reluctantly waited in front of the elevator, and a staff member quickly guided me to the stairs, saying, "This way for those using the stairs." I was impressed by how the staff immediately understood without me saying anything! Thank you so much, Noboribetsu Onsen!!

I revisited the hot spring inn I went to at the end of last month. About a week ago, I saw that a new plan called "W discount" had been added, so I decided to change my plans and go back to this inn. The weather was cloudy and drizzling, similar to last time, resembling the rainy season in mainland Japan. I went to enjoy the hot springs and meals. This time, the plan included a buffet dinner. The breakfast buffet was similar to last time, with no major changes. It wasn't overly luxurious, but the food was delicious as always. I enjoyed the tarako (cod roe) rice, although I had to skip the curry this time, as I couldn't eat too much.

I stayed at the hotel last year and loved the sauna, so I chose Noboribetsu Manseikaku. There were three more friends from my previous workplace! The self-flowing hot spring water bath was amazing. The meals were buffet style, with Japanese cuisine for the first night and morning, and Western cuisine for the second night, creating a perfect balance. I was very satisfied. They offer crab for consecutive nights. I love the ohaow. Sauna is a must. Sauna department. Hot spring sommelier master. Hot spring bathing instructor. Sauna spa health advisor.

They make onigiri for you. I ordered one with seaweed and cod roe shiitake mushrooms, about four bites in size so it's easy to eat. The seaweed was grilled but not crispy enough. In addition, the French toast was a hit menu item. The pasta was also delicious, overall very satisfying.

I stayed at this hotel in Noboribetsu, which I hadn't visited for a while. Personally, I was looking forward to the sauna renovation! After enjoying the sauna, it was time for the dinner buffet. I started with a salad, then had meat, fish, and carbohydrates like pizza and nasi goreng. I also had seconds with rice dishes, mushroom soup, and desserts, and I was full! There was a corner for local cuisine, and while I understood the concept, the overall menu satisfaction was not quite there for families. I was satisfied enough, though.

I went on an overnight trip to a sauna where you can do self-flowing. It was a nice sauna with a woody smell. The cold water bath was refreshing. They even had a natural spring water bath! The building was a bit old-fashioned but the buffet area was renovated and clean. They had thorough infection control measures in place. As soon as you entered, you had to put your mask in a mask case and they gave you a new mask. They quickly reminded anyone not wearing gloves. If a child made a mess, staff quickly gathered to clean it up. The experienced staff were always vigilant, which was great. They served Asian-style dishes, Ainu cuisine like Ohaw, and various other options. In the morning, they made onigiri for breakfast. It wasn't crowded because there were many families there.

During the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, many events were canceled and there was a sense of stagnation. When the state of emergency was lifted, we decided to go to a hot spring. At the Manseikaku in Noboribetsu, various plans were offered to attract as many tourists as possible, and we felt the charm and decided to use it with our family. The hotel had taken thorough infection control measures, and we could feel the tremendous effort of the staff. There weren't many guests, but surprisingly there were families with children, and it seemed that more guests with similar thoughts as us were increasing. The dinner buffet that we were looking forward to was a feast after a long time! The children were struggling to decide what to choose from the many menu options. It was heartwarming to see them eagerly walking around the dining hall saying, "I want to eat all the dishes." It was a very good memory.

The hot hamburger was served, but the side dish was greasy, so I ended up leaving it. In the buffet, you have to put nine items on your plate, including dessert. The building is impressive and has a great location with a view of the bus terminal from the window. However, the food and hot springs were disappointing.

This place is terrible. But there are some good points. This is about the Manseikaku Group. The lunch half buffet alone costs 1,500 yen, and the hot spring costs 1,100 yen, totaling 2,600 yen. However, if you get the set, it's 400 yen cheaper. For 2,200 yen, you can enjoy the hot spring and half buffet in a hot spring town, which is not bad. Let's go and check it out. But to be honest, it's all a sham. I will focus on the food report on Tabelog. The lunch half buffet for 1,500 yen is decent for the price. First, the main dish, a hamburger, is served. You can choose from 3 types of hamburgers. The hamburger is brought on a hot plate, but it feels quite cheap. Is this okay, Manseikaku? When you taste it, it's good but not great. The garlic demi-glace sauce is tasty, but the hamburger itself feels light and homely (almost like a frozen meal). After quickly eating the hamburger, I head to the buffet corner. ★Buffet Corner♪ ◎Salad CornerSalad, onion salad, macaroni salad. The three musketeers. There are also 3 types of dressings. ◎Rice CornerBlack curry, keema curry, and even hot spring eggs. Pickles and pickled vegetables are quite good here. And the black curry is delicious! It's a curry with plenty of beef that can be enjoyed on its own! ◎Fried Foods and OthersCheap-looking, is the tuna cutlet frozen? The croquettes are also mediocre. Instead of filling up on fried foods, you should try the delicious curry! ◎Sweets, Fruits CornerIt feels like it was added as an afterthought, but the quality of the fruit is decent. ◎Drink CornerA typical buffet setup. It says "Chargeable 350 yen" but you can drink for free. ◎Most importantly, the rice... The buffet-style rice. It's neither delicious nor bad, just average. The service (hospitality) was quite terrible. The front staff seemed okay (3.5↑), but once inside, it was awful, too awful. The boss giving orders to subordinates in a condescending manner, taking a break? The cooks and the boss chatting at the entrance (do that in the back). It was so bad that I left the venue without a word. This was disappointing. It was a Saturday close to the end of the year. There were 3 groups of 6 people using the half buffet, and the rest were using the hot spring. Oh, and about the hot spring, it's not related to Tabelog, but I'll mention it. Bathing in a tasteless and odorless acidic sulfur spring, what is that? A tasteless acidic sulfur spring. It's quite different from places like Sagiri-yu or Hanaya where the smell and taste are strong! I want to go back to Sagiri-yu or Hanaya after experiencing this featureless hot spring. It was so bad, almost unbelievably bad. Adding water is understandable, but hey, if you're going to dilute the unique qualities of the local hot spring, that's not good. An odorless and tasteless hot spring is not what you expect from a "hot spring".

I thought breakfast was from 6 o'clock, so I eagerly waited in front after taking a morning bath, but it actually started at 6:30. The staff who was grilling steak for dinner was making omelettes in the morning, and you could even choose the toppings and sauce. Rice is a must in the morning. I always take it if there's nagaimo (Japanese yam), but I found an onigiri (rice ball) corner! That's the way to go! There were a lot of people, so I couldn't take photos, but I forgot the name of the condiment, whether it was mustard or wasabi... The simmered egg with my favorite eggplant was the sweet type. The simmered flounder was delicious, but the bones were quite something even though it was small. There were also sweets like ice cream in the morning. Melon was available for an additional charge too!

After climbing Mt. Olofure, we stayed at this place with a plan that included a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option. Dinner time was set for 7:30 pm, so we stopped by Donkiya to grab a snack and eagerly waited. I brought my tablet to watch baseball while drinking - pure happiness! The variety of drinks was impressive. The kids' corner is for children only! If you try to sneak in, you'll be kicked out. There wasn't one standout dish, but I was satisfied with the variety of food available. The all-you-can-drink option is self-service, but for some items, you need to ask the staff.

This morning's breakfast was buffet style, just like last night's dinner. It started at 6:30 in the morning, so I went early. It was not crowded at that time, so I could enjoy the buffet freely. They had morning curry, soba noodles, and even balloon tofu. It felt somewhat nostalgic. I'm not sure what was original about the natto, but it seemed to be a special order from Manseikaku. They even had soft-serve ice cream at the kids' corner, which I couldn't resist trying. There were various fruit and vegetable juices available as well. I ended up eating too much as usual. Needless to say, it's different from the usual chain restaurants, but in a good way. They even had coffee to take away near the exit.

Today, I stayed at Noboribetsu Onsen after a long time. I wonder how many years it has been? It's been quite a while. And to think it's at Manseikaku... maybe it's been about 20 years... After arriving in Noboribetsu a little after 2 pm, I got close to Manseikaku and noticed that the exterior has been renovated and looks beautiful. It's similar to the color scheme of Manseikaku in Jozankei. I arrived at the inn, and the car... the multi-story parking lot across from the inn seemed unused at first glance... but upon closer inspection, there was a notice to use the second parking lot. Well, it was right next to it. Since it was raining, I didn't want to park far away... I parked the car and was able to check into the room a bit early. I quickly took a bath and relaxed until dinner at 6 pm. Around 6 pm, I went down to the buffet venue on the 3rd floor. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded... I was quickly shown to a table and the buffet started. The food seemed ordinary at first glance, but each item was quite good. One of the specialties was the herring cuts, which were quite large and luxurious to eat. There was also Manseikaku's original black curry with plenty of meat chunks. The sashimi was pre-arranged in dishes, but it was not bad. The DIY Genghis Khan was also good... it was raw meat, but if you marinate it in sauce and grill it, it's quite delicious. Others didn't seem to do it, but there were also udon noodles themed for spring, which was not so great... The steak was decent. It wasn't synthetic meat. The salad with roast beef was also good. The meat was delicious... it's different from the buffets of major chains on the mainland. That's what makes it good, I suppose...

Here at this accommodation, we had breakfast. The breakfast here has a last entry at 8:30 and closes at 9:00, which seems early for a hotel breakfast. We woke up late as a family and arrived just in time at 8:30. We quickly grabbed only the items that were easy to get. The onigiri that the grandma made on the spot was delicious. I chose the tororo rice to eat quickly. The accompaniments for the rice, such as nori seaweed and squid salted guts, were plentiful and had a Hokkaido-like taste. On the other hand, there were french fries for kids in the morning, where you put them in a paper bag and shake them with spices. There are also attractions like this, showing that they are making an effort. I would like to come back and enjoy a leisurely meal next time!

Category: Favorite Izakaya (Hokkaido and Tohoku) Today's breakfast will be at Noboribetsu Manseikaku in Noboribetsu Onsen. It is a buffet-style breakfast. Being a little late can make a big difference in a buffet. There are a lot of guests from the continent who are enjoying themselves. It's quite messy, but it's my fault for being late. My horse also got a late start with jockey Murphy and ended up finishing 12th. The world of racing is tough. Let's make a salad with cabbage, cucumber, and tomato. On my main plate, I have sausages, grilled salmon, croquettes, tamagoyaki, nikujaga, and mentaiko. I also have tororo rice and miso soup. Let's have some medicinal water and milk. Overall, it was delicious. The main purpose is the hot spring, so it's good that I didn't overeat in the morning. Thank you for the meal! Recently, there are a lot of course meals and buffets, but I think it's about time for traditional hotel buffets to be renovated. Before that, there are many ways to innovate the dishes. Since there are many customers coming, I wish there were some newer and more innovative dishes to try. It felt a bit repetitive. As customers' standards are getting higher, hotels need to evolve as well. The beer was delicious.
