Next to NGK, there is a shop that I decided to visit this time to try their shime-men. It was around 7:30 PM on a holiday in this area, and there were a lot of people, more than during the day. There were many foreigners as well. About half of the shop was filled when I entered, with some foreign customers present too. This time, I had already decided on my order. I chose the classic dish that I haven't had in a few years, the "Tomato Ramen 790 yen, firm noodles". The sign outside the shop seemed to be promoting the Tomato Ramen as their top recommendation. Maybe it's popular. After a short wait, the Tomato Ramen arrived. The soup was bright red with sliced tomatoes floating in it. It must be a tomato lover's dream. I took a sip of the soup, and the acidity and umami of the tomato were a good combination. It was light and perfect for finishing a meal. The noodles were thin straight noodles that paired well with the soup. The firm texture was just right. The toppings included sliced tomatoes, a little pork, and greens (I was a bit tipsy so I couldn't tell which kind). It felt a bit lacking. I should have added cheese. This time, I ordered it as a standalone dish for shime, but I definitely want to enjoy the rice dive next time. That's the true charm of the Tomato Ramen. Because it's tomato-based, I felt less guilty about finishing the soup completely. Or maybe that's just how I felt... I suddenly felt like having Kameo's char siu after a long time, so next time, I'll have it with char siu and beer for a satisfying finish. Thank you for the meal.

I was looking for a place to have some noodles as a final dish after drinking in Namba, and I ended up in front of this shop. It had been a while since I last had ramen from Kameo, and suddenly I felt a strong craving for it. So, on a holiday around 8:30 pm, I visited the shop. The shop was about half full. I had tried their oil soba before, but this time I felt like having some soup. I thought about getting the tomato ramen, but I was wearing a white shirt and I didn't want to risk making a mess, so I decided against it. The "Mukashi Aji Red" seemed appealing with its spicy soup. I ordered it for 890 yen with the noodles cooked normally. The soup looked quite red in the photo, but it wasn't that red in reality. I took a sip of the soup and it was pretty spicy. I thought it would be just mildly spicy, but it was even spicier than that. I underestimated it. I wonder if my stomach will be okay tomorrow... The chashu was a large rolled pork belly chashu, tender and of high quality. There was even a customer who came just to get the chashu to go. The next day, as expected, my stomach wasn't feeling well. I've gotten weaker... Next time, I'll try the tomato ramen. Thank you for the meal.

On May 2, 2022, Monday, after work, I usually go straight home, but this time I told my wife in the morning that I didn't need dinner and went to the Kameo ramen shop in front of Namba NGK. This was my first visit to this store, I think. Kameo Ramen is a shop that I have been to quite often since they started opening in Osaka a long time ago. It was past 9 pm when I arrived. Oh? Am I the only customer here for a private reservation? (laughs) After that, a few more customers arrived. Well, it's Monday and it seems like nights are slow due to the influence of COVID-19. When you think of Kameo, you think of soupless ramen or the original oil soba, and the image of thick-sliced roasted pork, right? The pork bone broth is not smelly, and you can drink it all up. It's been a while, so I went all out with the chashu topping on my noodles and a half-size bowl of rice. And a draft beer, of course. I asked for the noodles to be firm. I finished the soup completely! I wish I could have had an extra serving like in the old days... I'm full now!!! (laughs) The bill ended up being over 2000 yen (laughs) Well, it's a holiday tomorrow and the day after, and I worked hard, so it's a reward! (laughs) I paid with PayPay. Thank you for the meal!

Kameo Ramen's nostalgic flavor is reminiscent of the past. I visited on a Sunday around 1 pm and ordered while seated. The soup is cloudy but lacks the typical pork bone smell, giving a refreshing impression. The noodles are thin and straight, topped with tender chashu, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and green onions. The chashu melts in your mouth with a soft texture. When you think of Kameo, it feels like a well-established Kansai Kyushu pork bone ramen chain. I was drawn to the Tomato Ramen after more than 10 years. I don't remember there being tomato ramen in the past. The red bowl that matches the melamine spoon and saucer is nice. The balance is very good. I enjoyed it very much!!

I ended up at a ramen shop after wandering around like in Alice in Wonderland (lol). I decided to try a ramen shop that I had never been to before this time. I found a Kyushu tonkotsu ramen shop near Namba Grand Kagetsu. It seems to be a shop that specializes in homemade chashu, with rich tonkotsu as the main menu, but there was also a light soup menu available. The shop's name is Kameo Ramen, probably the main signboard. I'm not a big fan of salt, so I decided on the soy sauce tonkotsu. The price was only 690 yen, which is very reasonable for being right in the middle of Namba! The noodles were thin and straight, with a hint of sesame flavor. Let's dig in! The homemade chashu was truly delicious!

I went to Kameo Ramen after a long time. I was torn between going to the neighboring CoCo Ichibanya and here, but I was too curious about the extra spicy ramen so I decided to go in. I thought the price of 750 yen for this volume was cheap. However, when I actually saw it, it was mostly bean sprouts. In the past 10 years or so, there seems to be more bean sprout ramen. And the meat was just a little bit of pork belly shabu-shabu meat. Hmm... it was not satisfying enough. But I was still convinced by the overall cost performance of 750 yen and left the restaurant.

Today is just so hot! I was walking around the Namba area at lunchtime, looking for a place to escape the heat, and decided to pop into this place. Although it's a different branch, it had been quite a while since I last visited a Kyushu ramen Kameo. This was my first time at this particular store. There is plenty of space at the counter and table seats. It was run by two female staff members. They had a nice way about them. They were young but had a sense of professionalism that made me feel at ease. I ordered the summer limited edition chilled oil noodles. I don't have much experience with oil noodles, probably only had them about 10 times in my life, so I don't really know much about them. I'm guessing the noodles are the key here. Anyway, I can't give you any deep insights, but I simply thought it was delicious. It was perfect for a hot day. I thought I didn't have much of an appetite, but I ended up finishing it easily. It was so tasty that I wish I had ordered a large serving. I had a good impression due to various factors. Maybe it's the people after all, even though it's a chain store. I felt like I would like to visit this store again. Thank you for the meal.

It is located near the Namba Yoshimoto Theater, so I decided to have lunch there. I ordered the Abura Soba set (with rice topping) for ¥890, and added an extra 0.5 serving of noodles for ¥180. It had been a while since I last visited, and I noticed that the flavor had become stronger. Although tastes can change depending on the chef, this time it was a bit too strong for me. I used to like Kameo, but it seems like the taste is drifting away from what it used to be. Thank you for the meal.

"Classic black ramen and half cha-han. It's a taste from the Heisei era, when Hakata started to become more stylish. The noodles are very thin. The toppings include menma and not kikurage, which is also a modern touch. The restaurant doesn't have a strong smell, which is also modern. It's lighter than it looks. It's surprisingly good if you don't expect too much. The cha-han is not bad, but it's a bit bland compared to the fried rice at ramen shops in Osaka. However, it goes well with this ramen. It's located near the Yoshimoto theater, or more like next to it, close to the Dozuya street. You can enjoy your ramen slowly, which is rare in Namba. There are also solo female customers here. Oh, I've found a surprisingly nice place for lunch. Another solo female customer just arrived."

I love ramen, but I always struggle to finish the last few bites. However, at this ramen shop, I was able to enjoy the soup until the very end, so I will definitely be coming back! This time, I tried the Tomato Ramen that I had been eyeing on the sign in front of the shop for over a year. The Tomato Ramen with ripe tomatoes costs ¥790. It's not tsukemen, but I was able to add cheese fried rice for an additional ¥180. The soup is similar to regular ramen, but it has chunks of tomatoes in it, adding a hint of acidity that complements the dish perfectly. The collaboration between tomatoes and ramen was amazing. After finishing the noodles, I added the fried rice... delicious... I love it... I devoured both the ramen and rice in no time! I can't wait to go back again!

I finally visited the shop I was curious about!! The special soy sauce ramen was delicious from start to finish. Normally, I struggle to finish the noodles towards the end or can't drink up all the soup, so I can't fully enjoy the deliciousness from the first bite to the last. But at this place, I enjoyed every bit of it!! It's been a while since I found something delicious all the way to the end! I'm so happy!! Next time, I'll try the tomato ramen!!!

After drinking on a night in December 2018, I headed to a ramen shop next door, but it was closed, so I went to this place instead. The main store is located in Umeda, and it's a familiar place to me. I ordered the Kameo Ramen Classic Taste for 680 yen. It's a pork bone-based salt-flavored soup with plenty of sesame oil and roasted garlic oil on the surface. The sauce uses chili peppers, giving it a smooth and crisp taste. The ultra-thin noodles are cooked to a normal texture, with a crunchy texture. They mix well with the soup, and it was delicious! The toppings include chashu, menma, and green onions. I had Abura soba and Ago Gohan at Kameo, a ramen restaurant located next to Namba Grand Kagetsu. I couldn't decide what to order, but since I had ramen recently, I went with the Abura soba. I also ordered Ago Gohan. I was curious about Ago Gohan - what is it? Ago Gohan is rice topped with grated yam, egg, and green onions or kaiware seaweed. When I tried it, it was really delicious. The Kyushu Abura soba was easy to eat and although it seemed high in calories, the taste was irresistible. It's the kind of dish you can devour when you're really hungry! Chain ramen restaurants have a wide variety of options, so it's worth trying them out! Bon appétit!

There is a ramen shop right in front of NGK! The tomato cheese ramen is incredibly delicious! Order just the rice, and finish with the cheese risotto! (The staff will make it for you) It's the best! ^_^

In Namba, there is Kameo Ramen. Unfortunately, it was empty during this corona period. It's a shame because the ramen is delicious. I ordered the classic flavor, but it was just average. The egg goes well with it. The broth is delicious, so I couldn't help but order an extra serving of noodles.
