I went to a restaurant recommended by my older brother who works at a local news agency for a drink after work. There was a sign saying "No extra large servings or extra noodles", so I savored each bite carefully. The soup was rich and creamy tonkotsu flavor, with no unpleasant smell and a good balance of lard creating a deliciously concentrated broth. It was a tonkotsu ramen that falls into my favorite category.

I went to "Hakata Daikan Ramen" for late-night ramen during my recent business trip to Fukuoka. The shop is located along the Haruyoshi Kokutai Road. When I arrived at the shop after visiting another izakaya, it was already past 1:00 AM. The menu offered ramen, chashu ramen, negi ramen, chashu appetizer, bottled beer, and sake. They did not offer extra noodles or large portions, which surprised me a bit. Since it was late at night and I wasn't in the mood for a heavy meal, I simply ordered a bowl of ramen with firm noodles. The ramen arrived quickly, and I found the tonkotsu soup to be surprisingly light. The thin straight noodles, chashu pork belly, and chopped green onions were the toppings. As someone who doesn't like heavy ramen, I found this bowl to be just right. I didn't know before going there, but this shop is different from the "Daikan Ramen" chain that is mainly found in Kurume. My business trip to Fukuoka was only for a day, so my options for dining were limited, but I'm glad I could enjoy this meal.

I went on a business trip to Hakata and after a gathering in Nakasu, I asked a local for a recommended ramen shop. They suggested this place. We arrived almost at midnight, but the restaurant was full. We waited a bit and soon got a seat. I ordered the Chashu Ramen without hesitation as I had heard the chashu was delicious. The soup, which had a unique animal smell from outside, was actually elegant and not too strong. The chashu was indeed amazing. I don't usually eat ramen at this hour, but I finished every last bit. Tonight's final stop on the Fukuoka ramen tour is Daikan Ramen. I ordered the Negi Ramen for 800 yen. This place has a lot of attention to detail - no beer, no extra noodles, no upsizing. It's a cozy spot with no line, unlike many other places in town. I ordered the firm noodles, but they were actually quite soft. The chashu was tender and melted in my mouth. Delicious. The noodles were soft, but just the right thickness for my taste. The soup has a classic pork bone flavor that has remained unchanged for years. It's light and refreshing.

Today's dinner was ramen. I visited a shop that wasn't open for lunch. I had a place in mind that I wanted to go to, but suddenly I decided that I wanted to eat at the Hakata Daikan Ramen main store. I parked at a nearby coin parking lot and entered the shop. The interior had a nice atmosphere, with only a counter that could seat 8 people. Without looking at the menu, I ordered ramen with firm noodles. Then, I started looking around the shop. Huh? No option for extra noodles? Oh no! Can I change to a large serving now? Huh? No option for a large serving? I realized I hadn't done enough research. But because I really wanted to eat this ramen, I had no choice but to accept it and received my bowl of ramen. The appearance of the ramen was just like Hakata style, with a light yet flavorful soup, thin noodles that mixed well with the soup, and it was delicious! Too delicious. I finished the bowl in no time. I wanted to have an extra serving of noodles. I wished they would put the noodles I scooped out with the strainer back into my bowl. As I left the shop, I wondered if it was because it was the last ramen of the day. Thank you for the meal.

Ramen for 600 yen. Cheap. I visited around 11 PM on Saturday and there were no people. The ramen is ready in about a minute, and there is no system for extra noodles, so the turnover rate seems good. There is a slight lingering pork bone smell, but it might be better than going to a nearby ramen shop.

After having drinks at two bars in Nakasu, I was walking around feeling a bit tipsy and suddenly felt like eating ramen. I found a pork bone ramen shop that was full of customers, so I took a chance and squeezed in between two groups of customers. I managed to find a seat at the back of the counter and placed my order. The smell of pork bone broth was quite strong in this shop, just like in other tonkotsu ramen places. In about 5 minutes, my ramen arrived in front of me. As it got closer, the smell of the pork bone broth became even stronger, overwhelming my intoxicated body. I'm sorry, but I could only take one bite.

Late at night, I stumbled upon a charming restaurant with an inviting exterior. Despite not being hungry, I couldn't resist going in. I sat at the counter and ordered a bowl of ramen. Tonkotsu ramen is known for being rich and heavy, but this one was surprisingly light and refreshing. The noodles were thin and slid down effortlessly. Delicious. Customers kept coming in and leaving in quick succession, showing the fast-paced nature of this Fukuoka-style tonkotsu ramen shop.

Congratulations on reopening the store❣️ I handed over a souvenir I bought in Kyoto to the young proprietress. I knew because I saw a sign during my daytime walk that said ^_^ The clock shows 9:00 PM already. That means I spent 3 hours drinking alone (*☻-☻*) The ramen, which used to be richer in the past, was not the "unhealthy ramen" I received this time (^^♪ The amount of oil floating on the surface seems to have decreased significantly. The saltiness is just right. The noodles are a bit thicker compared to Hakata style, I think? The carefully prepared tonkotsu soup is full of umami flavor. There seems to be some kind of chili oil-like substance on the surface, but I'm not sure. I don't order extra firm noodles, and lately I even order them "soft." I think this day I just ordered the ramen without saying anything. My memory is fading away. Established in 1964, this renowned shop has been around since I was 10 years old. It's a beloved shop among the common people, a ramen loved by drinkers. If you have the chance, please give it a try. Thank you for the meal.

This is the perfect place to end the night on the way back from Nakasu♫ It's only open at night and stays open until late. The strong and flavorful taste here always hits the spot after a night of drinking (^-^) I might come off a bit rude when I'm here, but they always treat me well. This time, I asked for extra green onions (*^^*) I always feel like I shouldn't, but I can't resist ordering extra noodles. I can never finish the soup, but I definitely want to come back again. Next time, I'll go for the food without the drinks^_^

I stopped by this restaurant past midnight on a Friday as a way to end the day. I have used this place many times in the past. This time, I decided to visit because my hotel was nearby. The building is still old-fashioned as usual. However, unlike before, there was no strong pork bone smell even though it used to be noticeable even from a few hundred meters away. I ordered the "Ramen (600 yen)" with "Fukitoroshi" style. The food came out in less than 3 minutes after ordering. It was not spicy, but the flavor seemed a bit weaker than before. Maybe it was because I was drunk? Nevertheless, I will surely use this place again.

I ordered the 600 yen ramen with firm noodles. The broth was too oily for me to finish, but the noodles and soup itself were delicious and satisfying. I wanted to get an extra serving, but they don't offer large portions or extra noodles. The oily film on top reminded me of Ren or Sumire, but those are easier to finish compared to this one. Is it because this one is just too strong?

I visited the "Hakata Cannon Ramen Main Store" in Nakasu Kawabata for the second time as a finishing touch. It was my first visit and I had been curious about this ramen shop for a while. It's a small shop with only a counter. I ordered the ramen for 600 yen and it arrived in just a few minutes. The unique smell of Hakata tonkotsu was just right, and the straight thin noodles in this soup were incredibly delicious. The amount of noodles was just right as well. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I finally visited Daikan Ramen, a place I had been curious about but hadn't been able to go to. The atmosphere was a bit run-down, with only counter seating, which added to the charm. I ordered the ramen with thick noodles and the pork bone broth had a strong aroma and a slightly thick texture that coated the noodles well. The thin noodles combined nicely with the broth, just as I had hoped. The chashu was flavorful and had a nice chewy texture. It was a shame that I couldn't get an extra serving of noodles, but overall, it was a satisfying meal to finish off with. Thank you for the meal!

Hakata Cannon Ramen A long-standing ramen shop located past the bridge at the famous food stall street along Hakata's main street. Perfect COVID measures with the door wide open, allowing the strong pork bone aroma to fill the air. On this day, there was an old lady calling people in front of the shop. Customers who were hesitant were ushered into the shop one after another. If it weren't for the ramen, you might mistake it for a rowdy bar! The ramen costs only 600 yen, which is cheap! It even comes with two slices of meat at this price. This is the ideal price for ramen. The soup is true pork bone flavor, strong and intense. It's the perfect taste for after getting drunk. This punchy flavor will get you hooked. COVID safety rating: 3 (considering the open door). Eat quickly and leave quickly.

After drinking, you always crave ramen, and there's nothing you can do about it. Even though you know it's just a dehydration illusion, you can't resist. It has a traditional atmosphere with a sense of history. The interior of the restaurant was well-maintained and clean. This usually indicates that the ramen will be good too. I usually go for regular ramen, but this time I tried the negi ramen. The ramen, topped with plenty of green onions, was light and easy to eat with its tonkotsu broth. I enjoyed changing the flavor by adding pickled ginger, sesame, and vinegar. Finished the meal satisfied. Thank you. There was a sign saying "Tabearuki Kyushu-Okinawa Flavor 100 Selection," but I couldn't find much information about it.

I want to eat Hakata ramen for dinner♪ A few years ago, while wandering around Nakasu after getting drunk, I was forcefully invited by the lady owner of "Taisho Ramen" to enter the shop and had my first taste of it♪ Although I haven't been to many ramen shops in Fukuoka, so far, the most delicious ramen in my opinion is Hakata Taisho Ramen main store♪ I was excited to go there again, but from a distance, I saw that the shop was not lit up and clearly not open... Why? Has it closed down? The next morning, I went for a walk and approached the shop. There was a notice posted at the entrance saying, "Due to the spread of the coronavirus, we have decided to temporarily close our shop." I'm relieved that it didn't close down after all. When I checked on Tabelog, I saw another shop with the same name "Taisho Ramen" in almost the same location listed as "closed," which made me panic! However, there was a photo among the closed shop's pictures that clearly showed it was from "Hakata Taisho Ramen main store"! So the one that closed down was actually a different shop, right?

In 2020, Yayoi Hakata Oden was closed when I walked there, but it felt like it sucked me in, haha. Even though it's lonely without the old lady there, this place is different from the famous Ohno Ramen, as it's a longstanding shop with a connection to my dad's generation in Nakasu! About 30 years ago, there was also a place called "Teppo Ramen" across the street. The "Ramen" dish (600 yen) here is the same as the old Kurume Ramen in Nakasu! The thin noodles are good too. The soup is also delicious. Huh? Customers? Just me... The old lady with the raspy voice used to contribute about 30% to the taste...
