Today, I took the day off work to see a specialist due to abnormal thyroid hormone levels found in a recent blood test. I had lunch at a place that serves a dish similar to Korean cold noodles called "Marugen Reimen." I ordered the set menu which included the cold noodles and a teppanyaki fried rice. The toppings included kimchi, Korean seaweed, cucumber, chashu pork, and a boiled egg. The soup was slightly tangy and refreshing, similar to Korean cold noodles, and the noodles had a good texture and were delicious. It was a nice change from the usual cold noodles or chilled Chinese noodles. The teppanyaki fried rice was also quite tasty. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal.

I had the meat soba with a side of fried rice with egg for 990 yen. The soy sauce ramen had a rich flavor with a stable base of chicken, pork, and seafood. The yuzu pepper on top was a nice touch. The fried rice was delicious, although I think it would have been even better if the egg was a little runny. Thank you for the meal!

I had work on Sunday morning and afternoon. I used to drive by this ramen shop often, but had never been inside. When I searched for places to eat around here for lunch on Sunday, this seemed to be the only option nearby, so I decided to go here for lunch. There was a wait of about 4 groups. The place was busy. The restaurant has a large capacity and there is parking available, making it easy to access by car. The ramen menu is quite extensive, making it hard to choose. There are also various side menu items and set meals available. I ordered the sugar-free noodles for an additional charge, but ended up also ordering gyoza because my companion ordered a set. I ordered: - Aged soy sauce ramen for 715 yen - Sugar-free noodles for an additional 110 yen - Garlic-free gyoza for 319 yen Additionally, we ordered: - Strawberry parfait with condensed milk sauce for 275 yen The sugar-free noodles were just as delicious as regular ones. The garlic-free gyoza came in a set of 6. The strawberry parfait was small and perfect for after the meal.

On March 8th (Tuesday) morning, I received a call from work while waiting at the bus stop to go to the office. Due to trouble during the night shift construction work, today's construction was canceled. My wife was out for a class during lunchtime, so I decided to have lunch alone at this restaurant. It is a ramen chain restaurant operated by "Monogatari Corporation," which also owns the yakiniku restaurant "King." Recently, they have been expanding in Osaka as well. I arrived around 11:30 am and was seated at the counter. I started with a cup of cold tea, which was matcha-flavored. There are many ramen options on the menu, but I highly recommend the "Niku Soba" (650 yen)! I also ordered a small portion of rice for ramen. The dish arrived in less than 10 minutes. It was topped with plenty of thinly sliced meat and grated yuzu pepper in the center, looking delicious. I took a sip of the soup. Hmm! It has a sweet and rich flavor with a light taste, which I enjoyed. The straight thin noodles also paired well with the soup. The thinly sliced pork belly, generously piled on top, was soft and tasty. Mixing the grated yuzu pepper into the soup made it even lighter in taste. As I continued eating, the scent of yuzu became apparent. This soup also paired perfectly with the "Ramen Rice"! Of course, I finished the soup and the meal with satisfaction. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Holiday 12:50. 10 groups of customers waiting. Seated in about 15 minutes. Lately, it has become a daily routine to go to relatively large restaurants for practicing with the camera. Today, I also had the dream of a lover of super spicy food. -Taiwanese Ramen and Gyoza Set ¥1133 The gyoza was okay, but the Taiwanese ramen was disappointing. I came to eat the spiciest one that had been served before, but it seems like they gave me a milder version. It was just a normal mildly spicy soy sauce ramen. The amount of leeks in it was good, but for someone who wants to eat spicy food, it was quite unsatisfying!

During the coronavirus pandemic, I was surprised to find that Marugen Ramen, where I go to eat, is as spacious as a family restaurant! When I went around 5 pm, there were surprisingly few people, almost like it was before dinner time. I ordered the usual "Fried Rice and Gyoza Set" with "Niku Soba" and "Teppan Tamago Cha-han (small)", and changed the gyoza to "Delicious Karaage". I got carried away and even added an extra serving of noodles, so I was completely full.

Today, after a long time, I had lunch at Marugen Ramen. I ordered the Aged Soy Sauce Marugen Chashu Ramen for 900 yen. The soup was a bit watery and lacked richness. I think Marugen's meat soba is still the most delicious. Well, this was also delicious.

I don't eat ramen much, but when I was at work and there were no other restaurants nearby, I was taken to this place called "Marugen" which is apparently a chain store. It was my first time seeing it and coming here. It's a shop that specializes in aged soy sauce ramen. Since it was my first time, I ordered the signature dish: Aged Soy Sauce Ramen with Meat. I even opted for the low-carb noodles! For an additional 80 yen, you can switch to noodles with 50% less carbs, which contain as much dietary fiber as three lettuce leaves. It was surprising to find low-carb noodles in such a typical ramen shop. As for the taste of the noodles, I can't really compare since it was my first time trying them, but the low-carb noodles didn't feel lacking in flavor at all. They were satisfying. The menu had instructions on how to eat the Aged Soy Sauce Ramen with Meat, including options to specify the firmness of the noodles. There were also various condiments like pickled vegetables, shichimi spice, vinegar, and spicy sesame oil for flavor customization. In addition to ramen, they also offered dishes like vegetable champon, tonkotsu, salt, and miso ramen, as well as tantanmen. There was a lunch set available until 5pm on weekdays, which included fried rice, dumplings, and fried chicken. They also had soft serve ice cream for only 98 yen. Overall, it was a great experience having low-carb noodles at a ramen shop. Bon appétit!

On January 4, 2020 at 12:15, I had the Aged Soy Sauce Spicy Meat Ramen for ¥858 with extra noodles for ¥132, Teppan Egg Fried Rice (medium) for ¥418, Karaage (fried chicken) for ¥319, Negi Karaage (green onion fried chicken) for ¥385, and a bottle of beer for ¥606. The "Nozawa Mustard Greens Sauce" on the table pairs well with the beer, making for a nice appetizer while waiting for the ramen. The Teppan Egg Fried Rice is served on a hot plate, where you mix the egg yourself. It reminded me of a similar dish I had at "Kourakuen" in the past. I can handle spiciness well, but with the help of the mustard greens sauce, the Spicy Meat Ramen had me sweating. The bottled beer was a medium-sized Asahi Super Dry.

Due to the nature of my job, I often come back close to the last train, so it's great that they are open until 1 am. The restaurant is spacious with both counter seats and tables, making it convenient for individuals or large groups. Even though I arrived around midnight, the part-time staff were friendly and welcoming, which left a good impression. I was torn between different ramen options but ended up ordering the negi-niku soba with a half-cooked seasoned egg. The soy sauce base was just right, not too strong or weak like some chain restaurants. The noodles were customizable in terms of firmness, and I chose the firm option. The pork was delicious, and the addition of momiji oroshi for flavor variation was great. However, the seasoned egg was not half-cooked as advertised and lacked flavor. It was a shame. Despite this, the rest of the dish was tasty, so I ordered an extra serving of noodles. Surprisingly, the firmness of the extra noodles was different from the initial serving and did not blend well with the soup, making it less enjoyable. I added some table chili oil to the soup, which improved the taste. The base flavor was good, but some aspects were disappointing. I believe it was a mistake, so I will give it another try without being discouraged.

On Monday at 13:45 in Bon, there were a decent number of customers. The parking lot had many cars. It seems to be popular. Among various menu options, I ordered the spicy meat soba with fried rice and dumplings set for ¥1198. I enjoyed the spicy pickled vegetables on the table while waiting. The food arrived shortly after. The spicy meat soba had a nice balance of pork sweetness and leeks. It had the perfect level of spiciness that matched my image of spicy. It seemed like it would appeal to a wide range of people. The dumplings, on the other hand, were a bit disappointing. They seemed a bit soggy, perhaps due to lack of moisture when cooking. The texture was off-putting, and the flavor inside was mediocre. And then there was the fried rice! It was cooked on an iron plate, and you mix the egg with the rice at the end. Unfortunately, it was not tasty at all. It lacked saltiness and umami, and the rice was overcooked. This was not good. Maybe I should have just stuck with the meat soba. The champon looked delicious though.

I ordered the "Fried Rice Gyoza Set," which included "Niku Soba," "Teppan Tamago Cha-han (small)," and gyoza changed to "Delicious Karaage." My family ordered items like delicious karaage, negi karaage, Marugen gyoza, aged soy sauce negi ramen, and tonkotsu ramen. The toppings for "Niku Soba" included simmered pork, green onions, nori, and yuzu pepper. The soup was a blend of seafood, chicken broth, and pork bone, with the option to choose the firmness of the noodles - I ordered them extra firm. It was not as rich as I expected, and I enjoyed it. The "Teppan Tamago Cha-han" was delicious, although it got a bit tough while I was taking photos. Lastly, only my son and I had the parfait, which was a refreshing peach parfait that balanced out the richness of the meal. My wife and children were also very satisfied with their choices. Of course, the shareholder benefits were not enough, so I had to pay the remaining amount from my wallet...

For lunch today, I came to Marugen Ramen in Neyagawa City for work. There are plenty of parking spaces, making it convenient for customers who come by car. I ordered from the menu and was served in about 10 minutes. I had the delicious fried chicken lunch set for 780 yen. It was so tasty! The ramen was also delicious as always. The juicy fried chicken and rice were also very satisfying. The pickled vegetables on the table added even more flavor when eaten with the rice. It was a great meal!
