The other day, on my way back from work, I got lost and decided to make a U-turn and grab something to eat on the way back. I came across Yakiniku West Imaijuku store! I decided to give it a try. The interior of the restaurant was clean and had a lively atmosphere for enjoying yakiniku (even though I was alone). I looked at the menu and with the recommendation of the staff, I ordered the all-you-can-eat plan! It was a touch panel system, so when I ordered the meat I wanted to eat, the staff brought it to me right away. With the all-you-can-eat plan, I felt relieved that I could eat without worrying about additional charges for other meats. I would recommend it for those who want to enjoy a hearty yakiniku meal.

Visited the restaurant for lunch on the weekend. There were some customers already there, but since we were seated in a private room, we couldn't see how many. Another group with children arrived for a kids' party in the main dining area, which got quite noisy. We tried to order from the lunch menu, but found out they don't serve it on Sundays or holidays. We wanted to use a service voucher we had received recently. As we were taking off our shoes, the staff informed us that a kids' party was about to start and asked if we were okay with the noise. We assumed it wouldn't be too disruptive in the private room, so we proceeded. I ordered the Variety Lunch and my partner got the Cheese Stone Bibimbap. While waiting, the kids' party arrived and it felt like a classroom during recess! Thankfully, the kids weren't running around in the private room, so we managed to bear with the noise. The food was served, including rice, miso soup, kimchi, and cabbage, with the option for refills. The meat selection included Family Kalbi, Beef Skirt, Pork Tongue, Pork Belly, and Young Chicken, totaling around 240g. We grilled 3-4 slices of each type. The meat quality was decent for the price and portion size. My partner enjoyed the Cheese Stone Bibimbap, and we were both satisfied with the lunch menu options. Overall, we had a good experience at this restaurant.

On the last day of our trip to Fukuoka, we decided to try a popular chain restaurant for yakiniku. We ordered the all-you-can-eat A course, which included a salad bar and a variety of meat options such as beef, pork, chicken, and more. We were a bit skeptical since it was a chain restaurant, but we thought it could be a fun experience to talk about back in Kanto. However, we ended up regretting our decision.
We ordered about 5 types of meat without fully understanding the system, and when we returned from the salad bar, a large plate of meat was silently placed on our table. We realized it was kalbi, which was a surprise. We tried to consume the meat, but soon more plates of meat arrived at our table. We were not gourmets and we don't have strong preferences, but we couldn't keep up with the amount of meat. The quality, marinade, and taste were all disappointing, and we struggled to finish the meal.
We also had some trouble with the meat falling through the grill. We ended the meal with some desserts from the dessert bar, which were okay but nothing special. We each had two beers, and the total bill came to 7000 yen. We felt that for that price, we could have had a much better meal elsewhere. We returned home feeling a bit disappointed and regretful.
