I visited the Ganlan Beef Noodle restaurant at the Namba Ramen Ichiza store. Located in Chuo-ku, Osaka City, the nearest station is Namba Station on various lines. It is located on the 9th floor of the Edion Namba store, inside Namba Ramen Ichiza. This is a new store that opened on April 15th (Friday) and is a branch of the "Ganlan Beef Noodle Nipponbashi Store" located near Tanimachi 9-chome in Chuo-ku, Osaka City. It is located in the former location of the recently closed "Taiwan Tantanmen" restaurant. I visited the Ganlan Beef Noodle Nipponbashi Store two years ago and loved the taste, so I definitely wanted to try it at Namba Ramen Ichiza when they opened a branch. I arrived before opening with determination and entered on the first round. The types of ramen available are Ganlan Beef Noodle, Ganlan Mixed Noodles (Banmen), and Ganlan Fried Noodles, with a variety of toppings and side menu items available. I ordered the Ganlan Beef Noodle in large size with secret egg, crunchy wood ear mushroom salad, special beef, and rice. On this day, there was a grand opening campaign where the Ganlan Beef Noodle was discounted from 890 yen to 590 yen, and I also received a complimentary special beef for following them on Instagram and posting. You can choose from normal (110g), large (130g), and extra-large (150g) noodle portions, with the large size being the same price as normal. I chose the thin (thin noodles) option. The roots of Ganlan Beef Noodle date back to 1915 in Lanzhou, China, where it started as "Re Guozi Noodles" sold by carrying a balance pole. It has evolved over a hundred years through the efforts and innovations of predecessors to become the noodle dish it is today, known for its refreshing and stomach-friendly soup. In Lanzhou, it is a tradition to eat it from 6 am. The soup is made from beef bone and soy sauce base, combined with special spicy oil, various spices, black vinegar, etc., giving it a unique aroma of spices, light and refreshing taste with depth, and a mild soy sauce flavor. The spicy oil and spices add heat and punch to it. Although it may seem like there is a lot of spicy oil and heat, the spiciness is just right, giving a pleasant spicy kick, and the oil is not overwhelming but enhances the richness. I chose thin noodles, which are homemade thin straight noodles with a smooth surface, a good elasticity and smooth texture. The noodles are quite long. The toppings include beef, simmered daikon radish, coriander, green onions, and secret egg. The beef is made from beef belly, the same as the special beef served separately, tender and flavorful without excess fat, making it moist and healthy. The simmered daikon radish has a gentle flavor that pairs well with the aroma and texture of coriander. The secret egg, served separately, is slightly hard-boiled with a flavorful taste. The instructions on the tray guide you to first taste the white soup, which is smooth with a rich flavor and a light and refreshing taste. Mixing the noodles with the soup creates a delicious blend of flavors, and as you eat, the spicy oil naturally mixes in, adding richness and punch. There are spicy oil and black vinegar on the table, allowing you to adjust the flavor to your liking. Adding spicy oil enhances the aroma and spice, making it deliciously flavorful. Adding vinegar gives it a refreshing taste. The crunchy wood ear mushroom salad is a Chinese salad with wood ear mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and chili peppers, lightly seasoned for a refreshing and healthy dish. The place is near Namba Station, on the 9th floor of the electronics retailer Edion. After drinking a decent amount, I went there intending to have a final drink. I ordered a set meal and beer. Hmm, it's quite heavy for a final drink. I added a lot of cilantro, so the ramen turned out to have a strong flavor.

First visit. Tried a new type of noodles I've never had before (。´_`。) Sweet Orchid Noodles for 890 yen. It was lighter than I expected, with a gentle flavor that seems easy on the stomach. I sometimes go to the ramen shop in Namba. I happened to see a sign for sweet orchid beef noodles as I got off the elevator, so I ended up going in. I ordered the set meal with green onion dumplings for 1,100 yen. The moment I took a sip of the soup, I gave up. The noodles also didn't agree with my taste. How many people actually find this delicious? I feel pathetic for paying to eat this.

On Sunday lunchtime, I had ramen at Ramen Ichiza on the 9th floor of Edion Namba. There are 9 shops in the store, so which one should I choose? Today, I decided on the one made with beef bone broth. I purchased "Sweet Beef Noodle Soup for 890 yen" from the ticket machine. When I sat down, I filled out the order form with my preferences for noodle thickness and requested extra cilantro and chili oil. When the dish arrived, it looked very appealing. I took a sip of the soup and found it to be light, with almost no saltiness or flavor from the beef bone broth. However, after mixing everything together and letting the cilantro and chili oil blend in, taking a bite of the noodles was a different experience. The Asian aroma filled my mouth, with the chili oil adding a nice touch. The boiled daikon radish in the ramen was a unique addition and surprisingly complemented the dish well. The beef chashu was tender but lacked flavor. I tried adding black vinegar for a flavor change, but it turned out to be quite sour. On the 9th floor of Edion in Namba, a new restaurant has opened in Ramen Ichiza. It seems to be similar to Matsuyamachi's Kanran Gyuu Niku Men! Anyway, I didn't understand the reason, but it seemed like it would take quite a while to wait, so I decided to try this place that I haven't visited yet. Inside the restaurant, there are large tables and counter seats for one person. There are also several tables for four people. Beef bone ramen may not be very popular among the general public, but personally, I quite like it. I ordered the standard "Kanran Gyuu Niku Men" for 890 yen. One of the features is that you can choose from four different thicknesses of noodles, and they will make it fresh by stretching it in the kitchen. I asked for the "classic taste" with medium-thick noodles. They asked if I was okay with cilantro, and I said yes. The noodles, freshly stretched, were firm and delicious! The soup was not too salty, with a clear taste of beef bones. If I have the chance, I would like to try other menu items as well. Thank you for the meal.

I had beef noodles at a chain restaurant in Nihonbashi, Taiwan. I ordered the limited 10 servings of mixed noodles. I was the last customer of the day, but there were still some of the limited 10 servings left, so you can probably eat it anytime. I ordered a large portion because the amount of noodles seemed small. The noodles were mixed with chopped char siu and colorful vegetables, and served with cold flat noodles. The radish soup had a slightly less sauce, but the flavor was rich and coated the entire dish well. The description of the flat noodles said they were gentle, but when cold, they were quite firm. The noodles were delicious when mixed with the vegetables, char siu, and sauce, even better than expected. It's a type of dish that some may not like, but personally, I enjoyed it. However, I think it might be even tastier if it was served warm. The soup had a unique aroma and a slight spiciness, which paired well with the cold noodles.

Last week, I received important information from my work colleagues that a new restaurant had opened up. I decided to check it out during lunchtime by taking the train for 2 stops to "Namba," a familiar lunch area in Honmachi. The restaurant was called "Kanlan Beef Noodle," and the name seemed to reflect the type of food they served. They had a variety of noodles and set menu options to choose from. I ordered their signature dish: - Kanlan Beef Noodle: 890 yen When I placed my order, they asked me to fill out a survey with options such as: - Noodle size: Regular (100g), Large (130g), Extra Large (150g, +100 yen) - Noodle shape: Thin, Medium, Triangle, Flat - Cilantro: None, Normal, Extra - Chili oil: None, Normal, Extra I was surprised to be asked about cilantro in a ramen restaurant! It made me a little nervous about the place. I answered "Large, Medium, None, None." The dish looked completely different from any ramen I had tried before. It had neatly arranged bite-sized beef pieces and daikon radish. Other than that, it was a very simple ramen with chopped green onions. The standout feature was definitely the soup. It had a medicinal aroma and a tingling spiciness that numbed my tongue. It definitely had unique spices in it, maybe Sichuan pepper? The beef was incredibly tender, falling apart easily when picked up with chopsticks. The daikon radish was also well-cooked and soft. The soup was very rich and flavorful. The noodles I chose were thin, flat noodles, reminiscent of linguine, with an uneven texture that gave a handmade feel. The 130g portion disappeared quickly. Towards the end, I added a little of the sauce provided on the table (probably black vinegar), which added sweetness and made the soup more mellow. It was more to my liking. The prices were a bit on the high side. The set menu was over 1000 yen. It felt more like a Chinese noodle dish than traditional ramen. It's a taste that may not appeal to everyone. Personally, I found it a bit challenging. Overall, it was an interesting dining experience.

In April 2022, on a weekday night, I visited a ramen restaurant after work around 7:40 pm. It was not crowded at the ramen shop, which I hadn't been to in a while. Today, I decided to try the recently opened Kanran Beef Noodle restaurant. The place had been renovated but still maintained the same atmosphere and layout. I purchased the Kanran Colorful Mixed Noodles at the ticket machine near the entrance and then proceeded inside. I sat at the counter seats facing the entrance. When I handed my food ticket to the staff, they gave me an order sheet. Since you couldn't choose the type of noodles, I asked for extra noodles and regular everything else. After a short wait, my bowl of noodles arrived. The noodles were thick flat noodles with colorful vegetables, special beef, Kanran's special sauce, and beef bone broth soup. First, I tried the noodles as they were. They had a chewy texture, great flavor, and just the right amount of firmness. Then, I mixed in all the toppings and sauce and dug in. The sweet and spicy miso-flavored sauce with chili oil coated the flat noodles well, making it delicious. The meat was tender and tasty, and the fragrance of cilantro lingered in the air. The beef bone broth soup also helped cleanse the palate, and I was able to finish the meal feeling satisfied. The noodles were just right, and I was full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal! It's a waste. The lack of explanation from the staff is noticeable. It's understandable that a foreign male with poor Japanese is working, but some key points were missing such as: - No explanation on how to get a cup (self-service) - No explanation on how to order extra noodles - No explanation on how to eat the noodles (if freedom is the concept, then it's understandable) There is nothing special about the cost performance and location. The noodles are not bad (probably). It's just that the lack of staff training is noticeable. A few more things that bothered me: - I was told to only write on the bottom of the order sheet, is that true? - The noodles came out first, followed by the soup, but the soup was unusually slow (felt like over 5 minutes).
