It is a calm atmosphere restaurant. We had a 7500 yen course meal. It is not a high-end restaurant, but the quality of the food is high, with a wide variety of dishes, and we were very satisfied. It is definitely worth more than the price. The service is a bit cold, but it was nice to be able to enjoy a meal in a calm environment. Highly recommended.

It is located about 5 minutes from Temma Bridge Station on the Subway Tanimachi Line. The surrounding area is quiet, not a bustling district. There are 7 counter seats and 2 tables for 4 people each. The place is run by a couple. I made a reservation and visited with my partner. We were seated at a table. I ordered a bottle of beer as usual. The meal started with an appetizer, which was like a traditional Japanese appetizer plate. It included clams, sesame tofu, cheese, and spicy squid, all of which were delicious. The expectations for the meal were high. Next, we were served steamed egg custard with sea urchin. It was seasoned with a little ponzu sauce and had a fantastic dashi flavor. The sashimi platter included blowfish, octopus, squid, shrimp, and mackerel, all of which were tasty. Then, we had grilled oysters and mackerel. The large oysters were sweet and filling. Following that, we enjoyed a steak of the lower part of Kumamoto beef, which was full of meaty flavor and cooked to perfection. Fried blowfish was served next, which was also delicious. Lastly, we had snow crab, which paired well with the drinks. The meal ended with a porridge dish, flavored with the sourness of plum. The quality of the food at this price point was very satisfying.

I was feeling really hungry and stumbled upon a newly opened restaurant called "Aji Raku Sosai Okamoto." It seems they opened on May 10, 2016. The place was packed with customers, but when I called, they kindly accommodated me. They are offering a special course for ¥5000 until the end of this month. The exterior of the restaurant looks like this. The meal started with a variety of appetizers, followed by a comforting soup. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, especially the octopus. The eel dish with anko sauce was a standout. The hot pot with young pike conger and tofu was rich in flavor. We were also served a crispy tempura of young ayu fish as a complimentary dish. The meal ended with a filling rice dish, miso soup, and pickles, followed by dessert. The chef, who used to run a renowned restaurant called "Yumehan," has now opened this new place. It was a delightful experience to enjoy his skillful cooking in a casual setting. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again in the future.

A personal Kaiseki restaurant in Temmabashi. Courses are priced at 3500, 5000, and 7000 yen, which is quite affordable. The 3500 yen course includes appetizers, sashimi, and grilled dishes. The 5000 yen course offers a substantial amount of food. The 7000 yen course was too much for me to finish (I have a small appetite). This Kaiseki restaurant offers the best value for its price range. While the ingredients may not be top-notch, the chef's skills make the dishes delicious. It's a convenient and high-quality Kaiseki restaurant that you can easily visit.
