Located a short walk from Kuramae Station on the Oedo Line, "Ume Lindo" is situated behind "Komagata Dozeu". Originally a simple sales department next to a factory, it is now a lovely store! Established in 1893, this pickle shop now focuses on products made from plums, such as pickled plums. Their signature product is "Ume Shin", with a salt content of 7% and a thick, low-acidity flavor. Today, I purchased 5 pieces of "Ume Shin". These plums taste like fruit and are delicious. In the past, they used to sell individual pickled plums at the Ueno branch of Matsuzakaya department store, but now they only offer gift sets and pre-packaged items. I look forward to trying their "Ume for Umeshu" next time!

Received from a customer: This is also a freeze-dried soup included inside a monaka. There is a little crab meat in it, but it is just for decoration and has no taste or quantity. Enjoy the rich flavor of the broth by using a small amount of hot water.
