This is a slightly suspicious shabu-shabu restaurant tucked away in a corner of Taiyuji Temple. I have passed by it a few times before, but this was my first time stepping inside. This time, I tried the beef shabu-shabu course. Here is what it included: appetizer with 3 dipping sauces (citrus, nuts, sesame), Japanese beef loin (150g), assorted vegetables, soup, somen noodles, and dessert. The meat and vegetables are served separately, but the hot pot is shared, so once you put something in, it's hard to tell whose is whose. We had fun chatting and enjoying the shabu-shabu together. The beef was really delicious, as expected from high-quality meat. Shabu-shabu was enjoyable! There was a variety of vegetables, so we could have a well-balanced meal. I didn't eat much of the noodles. I was satisfied with the vegetables. I had a refined meal at the end of the year. Thank you for the feast.

A shabu-shabu restaurant located in Umeda Tokawanocho. It is housed in an old-fashioned building quietly standing in Umeda Hanagai. The waterwheel turns, creating a tranquil atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy the beef shabu-shabu in the interior with a Japanese theme. The Chiyaya beef sukiyaki course. Appetizers. Roast beef. Salted prawns. Japanese beef loin and vegetable platter. Shimeji rice. A well-balanced composition with a sense of stability typical of a long-established restaurant.

I have known about this restaurant for a long time but never had the chance to visit. Finally, I got to use it for a company gathering. The shabu-shabu meat was very tender and delicious. It's a great place for a slightly fancy meal or hospitality. The restaurant has a retro feel but is elegantly designed.

The white dashi shabu-shabu was delicious. The restaurant has a retro Showa era vibe, but surprisingly there were many young customers. The broth for the kishimen was very tasty, with green onions, mitsuba, and black pepper adding a nice touch. They occasionally added more broth and removed any impurities.

A quietly located shop in the bustling area of Togano-cho! I was curious about it but finally managed to go ✨ The interior of the shop had a calm atmosphere and was quite spacious! I went for a late lunch around 2:30 pm and was able to get in smoothly ❣️ The staff's service was great. I had the shabu-shabu lunch with plenty of vegetables and delicious meat ❣️ You can choose between white rice and shimeji mushroom rice, and your stomach will be full ❣️ There were plenty of condiments, making it ideal for dates or business meals. I also received some sweets as a souvenir ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾ I thought I would like to go again!

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was retro and calm, reminiscent of the Taisho era. I was surprised to find such a peaceful space here! It was lunchtime, and I ordered the grand menu which included appetizers of sliced beef shabu-shabu, vegetable set, shimeji mushroom rice, pickles, and dessert. Although there was also kishimen noodles available, I was too full and running out of time, so I skipped it. The shabu-shabu came with three types of dipping sauces: sesame, ponzu, and peanut sauce, along with plenty of condiments for flavor variations. The serene atmosphere allowed me to enjoy a sophisticated lunchtime experience.

Established in 1974, this long-standing beef shabu-shabu restaurant is located in the bustling entertainment district of Umeda, Osaka. The retro Showa era charm is evident from the outside, with a water wheel adding to the nostalgic atmosphere. The interior does not disappoint, with spacious seating including private rooms. The menu offers only set courses, with the most expensive option priced at a reasonable 7,920 yen. I opted for the Chiburi course, which included a refreshing orange juice. The meal began with simple and comforting appetizers like tamagoyaki and kamaboko. The roast beef was succulent and delicious. The grilled live prawn was served three ways, and despite the messy process of peeling, it was worth it. The beef shabu-shabu set was a highlight, featuring high-quality wagyu beef slices and a variety of dipping sauces. The vegetable platter was generous and satisfying. The meal concluded with a comforting dish of shimeji mushroom rice and a flavorful kishimen soup. The dessert, a simple plate of melon and pineapple, complemented the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The experience felt like staying at a traditional inn, with impeccable service and a sense of history. I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's active presence on social media, showcasing a balance of tradition and modernity. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I highly recommend.

I was taken to this restaurant to enjoy delicious food. Although the restaurant is close to my workplace, it was my first visit. The atmosphere inside the restaurant and the staff were calm, making time pass by slowly. I thought I might not have enough meat, but the course menu was satisfying. The miso for the tanyaki was delicious, and when I mentioned it, they told me it was homemade. I would like to visit this restaurant on a special occasion. It's that kind of place!! Thank you for the wonderful meal ♥️

This is a highly satisfying restaurant where you can feel the atmosphere of a long-established store and a sense of relaxation. The entrance is lovely, and the service from staff in traditional Japanese clothing is excellent, making it a comfortable and leisurely place to spend time. The lunch tempura set is both generous in portion and high in quality, making it a great value. The oil used is good, so I didn't feel heavy or bloated afterwards.

Start → Each person cooks → Course this atmosphere. Should this be called a national treasure-class restaurant? A long-established store celebrating its 47th anniversary. Recently, there are not many such restaurants. It's only here, but it's here. The interior of the store is huge. The ceiling is high and luxurious. The atmosphere of a famous Showa-era restaurant. I really like it. They serve oil fondue. I've never heard of it. My expectations are rising. Fondue beef fillet, dip it in sauce and eat it. Oh, this is really good. I also enjoyed the vegetables other than the meat and finished the dish. Just when I thought it was over, dessert fondue appeared. Fondue dessert in oil. A new attempt. I'm not a fan of sweet things, but I tried the fondue and it was delicious. Enjoy the atmosphere and the Showa era. By the way, please also visit the restroom. This is one of the blissful restaurants. I think there's no need for further explanation. First of all, I want you to come and experience it.

I made a reservation at this long-established restaurant with the staff to enjoy some good shabu-shabu. The female staff member provided excellent service, and we had a very enjoyable meal. They were considerate enough to offer a non-alcoholic option for the aperitif, plum wine, for those who do not drink alcohol. The course included appetizers, egg tofu, beef shigure, sweet potatoes simmered in syrup, Kagoshima black wagyu shabu-shabu, assorted vegetables, rice (choice of white rice or shimeji mushroom rice), dessert, and ice cream (choice of chocolate or matcha). We spent about 3 hours there, chatting leisurely and enjoying our meal. It was truly a delightful time. Thank you so much!

◆Tempura lunch set for 1,650 yen including tax. You fry the tempura yourself in a pot on the table. It was crispy and light, cooked in rice oil. The tempura included pork, shrimp, potatoes, konjac, and cheese. I had to rush through my meal because I didn't have much time, but I would have preferred to enjoy it slowly. The restaurant was spacious and had a luxurious and elegant atmosphere, suitable for business entertaining.

The family decided to go out for a meal together, and someone suggested having shabu-shabu. Since it's a time when maintaining a distance from others is important, a restaurant with a good amount of space seemed like a good idea. I had been curious about this particular place for a while, and after checking their website, it looked like a spacious restaurant. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and although the location was a bit off the beaten path, the restaurant itself was easy to find. Upon entering, we were surprised by how spacious it was! The layout made it easy to avoid crowding, which was a plus. We ordered the beef shabu-shabu lunch set, and each person was served their own set with meat on the top tier and vegetables on the bottom. The sauces provided were ponzu and sesame, and the website mentioned that they take pride in their sesame sauce. We also had condiments and garnishes to customize our hot pot. The shabu-shabu meat was tender and delicious, especially when dipped in the tangy ponzu sauce. I personally like adding some grated garlic to mine. The family preferred the sesame sauce. We enjoyed the variety of vegetables as well. We chose the mushroom rice as our side dish, and although the portion of noodles seemed small at first, it turned out to be just right. The meal was filling, and we even had fruit for dessert, all for a reasonable price of 3800 yen per person. The lunch set was not cheap, but it was worth it for the quality and experience. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which was a positive for us. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely like to visit again.

This is a luxurious restaurant with a charming interior and a water wheel as a landmark. I had the beef shabu-shabu course and it was really delicious. Shabu-shabu is something I usually have at home, so it was nice to enjoy it at a restaurant and feel indulgent. Thank you for the feast!

The retro atmosphere of the restaurant is enhanced by the water wheel outside, gas lamps, and a courtyard. It's a hidden gem just a short distance from Umeda. We tried the shabu-shabu course, which was beautifully presented on a two-tiered tray with colorful vegetables, meat, condiments, and three types of sauces. The meat was tender and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our experience even better. We would love to visit again!

After nearly 50 years in business, I finally fulfilled my long-held wish to visit this place. The moment I stepped into the shop, I was amazed. Just as I had hoped, it had a retro Showa-era design that I love. From the outside water wheel, to the indoor waterfall, gas lamps, and intricate coat racks, everything was wonderful. I must say, this kind of extravagant luxury is truly beautiful. It's a rare find. The stained glass and interior of "King of Kings" in the basement of the station building are also cultural treasures of the Osaka dining scene. The beef shabu-shabu is made with black wagyu. For less than 6000 yen, you get 150 grams, which is also amazing. It comes with enoki mushroom rice and kishimen noodles. And of course, dessert too. Surprisingly, the pudding dessert was delicious. The staff, dressed in kimonos, were attentive and very pleasant. Oh, I wish I had come sooner. In this day and age, it must be tough to keep a place of this scale running, but I hope they continue to do well. Everything was a treat.
