There was a yellow sign that caught my eye, so I decided to check out this shop. I ordered the "Honey Lemon Tea M" (540 yen) with normal sweetness and less ice. The lid on the container is the type that sticks on, so it's less likely to spill, which is nice. This time it didn't come with tapioca, but the straws were all unusually thick. The taste had a strong honey flavor and was a bit sweeter than expected even with normal sweetness. Maybe less sweetness would have been better. The refreshing lemon and the tea flavor were balanced and delicious.

This is a Taiwan tea drink specialty store with locations worldwide. There is a store at the entrance of Keio Department Store. It seems to be popular for its Lemon Series and Salty Cheese drinks. I ordered a Honey Lemon Tea because I was thirsty. It is a slightly sweet lemon tea. Thank you for the meal.

There is a staircase near the entrance to the Keio Line, between Mosaic Street at Shinjuku Station on the Odakyu Line and Keio Department Store. There seems to be a tapioca shop there. The tapioca trend that was once booming seems to have calmed down, with many shops closing. At tapioca shops, you can also order drinks other than tapioca, which is convenient for me since I can no longer drink coffee. I ordered a medium-sized hot hojicha latte with reduced sweetness for 540 yen. It was larger than I expected and had a satisfying taste. It's nice that you can choose the level of sweetness. You can adjust the sweetness depending on your mood that day. Adding milk to hojicha is also delicious. Thanks to that, I warmed up.

I love citric acid. I love citrus flavors. So I was drawn into the shop. I ordered a medium-sized Lemon Jasmine Tea with less sweetness and ice. I added nata de coco as a topping. Recently, tapioca seems to be treated as just one of the toppings. It was refreshing and easy to drink. I like the bouncy texture of nata de coco. I've liked it since the nata de coco boom, but when I looked it up, it said the boom was 30 years ago, so I must have started liking it after the boom. Oops. Seems perfect for summer.

Tapioca Milk Tea (500 yen) - As I was wandering around, I got thirsty and decided to buy a Tapioca Milk Tea from this shop right in front of me. It seems to be a Taiwanese chain store located between Keio and Odakyu on the west side of Shinjuku Station. The lemon character is cute. The milk tea is not too sweet, allowing you to taste the flavor of the black tea. The tapioca is pleasantly sweet and chewy. The balance between the milk tea and tapioca is important because there is quite a lot of tapioca in it. It's delicious on its own as well.

On my day off, I wandered around Shinjuku! It feels good... How about trying some tapioca? Happy Lemon from Keio! The store is located next to the department store entrance. It seems like a new and clean store. I wonder what will happen when the tapioca boom dies down... I'll have a Black Sugar Latte with tapioca, please~ It costs around 500 yen. Recently, there have been more options besides Royal Milk Tea, such as black sugar, jasmine tea, matcha, etc. Black Sugar Latte, it's like sweet milk, but I like it haha. Let's dig in! Mmm, Black Sugar Latte is really good. Slurp slurp... Mmm! The tapioca here is delicious! Among the ones I've tried during this boom, this is the tastiest! It's big, juicy inside, and chewy. The texture is great when you chew. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I ordered the Salty Cheese Four Seasons Spring Tea with tapioca topping. I actually don't really like tapioca. I thought I looked like someone who would like tapioca, but with the recent tapioca boom, I thought maybe there was a new kind of tapioca that I didn't know about, so I topped it with tapioca with high hopes. First, the so-called cheese tea had less cheese flavor than I expected. In fact, the taste was a bit blurry, and all I could tell was that it was a high-calorie liquid. And as expected, I still don't like tapioca.

I happened to find out about this shop while searching for a place to kill time in Shinjuku. It seems it opened in the fall of 2018, but I had no idea! It's located right next to the main entrance of Keio Department Store in Shinjuku, which is easy to find. When I went, there were only two people in line, so I quickly joined. I initially wanted Jasmine Tea with tapioca, but then I saw they had a Lemon series, including Jasmine Lemon Tea, so I decided to add tapioca to that. The cup was fun with different languages written on it, and you could see lemon slices inside. It was a bit cloudy probably because it was freshly made, but it tasted refreshing. The tapioca was soft and chewy, with just the right amount of sweetness. I really liked the taste. They also have various Salty Cheese Tea options, but since I prefer refreshing tea, I might try the Mango Jasmine Tea next time. It may have been just a coincidence, but finding a tapioca shop that I liked without having to wait in line was precious! I heard that on rainy days, the points card gives you double points, but when I asked the staff to make a card, the lady handed me a single point card and mentioned that today was not double points day. She even made sure to press it for me to get the double points.

It had been a while since I visited Keio Department Store in Shinjuku. I only made it to the entrance though, as it was close to 20:00 and the store was already preparing to close. In front of Keio, near the border with Odakyu. There used to be a mannequin here, but now it's a tapioca drink shop. It seems to be from Shanghai, with its eye-catching yellow color. The image character is a girl with a bob haircut, "Happy Lemon." The location is good, so there was a line as expected. Usually, tapioca drink shops are full of young women, but maybe because of the proximity to Keio and Odakyu, there were quite a few men here. I tried the Pudding Tapioca Milk Tea. When I saw the sample, I was intrigued by the rare addition of pudding to the tapioca drink. However, the pudding was completely blended into the drink and not visible. The drink itself was sweet and creamy, with a decent tapioca texture, but it was a bit disappointing for someone who was expecting visible pudding. For those who use the Keio and Odakyu train lines, the location is convenient, but in terms of taste, places like "Royaltea" and "TP TEA" might be better. Thank you for the meal!

After seeing the review from MyReviewer, I decided to stop by this place when I came to Shinjuku. It is located near the west exit of Shinjuku Station, right next to Keio Department Store, so it's easy to find. The seating is not available as it is a takeout only stand. The Happy Lemon itself is a takeout stand that is expanding worldwide. I was interested in the matcha flavor limited to Japan and the lemon tea that is the shop's signature, but what caught my eye was the Mango Jasmine Tea. I thought about combining it with Salty Cheese topping, so I asked the staff for advice. However, the staff told me that they haven't seen many customers trying that combination, so I decided to go with the classic option. I ordered the Salty Cheese Milk Tea (M) for ¥500 with tapioca topping for ¥100, totaling ¥648 including tax. I was able to pay with my transportation IC card. I didn't have to wait long, about 5 minutes. There was an illustration outside the shop on how to enjoy the cheese drink: 1. Enjoy the Salty Cheese part first by opening the lid 2. Sip the drink with a straw 3. Enjoy mixing it. When I tried to drink it by opening the lid slightly, the straw poked my nose. It felt a bit embarrassing to do this as an adult while standing up! It would have been better if the straw was provided separately. The Salty Cheese was as creamy as expected. I wanted to eat it on a plate with a spoon! When mixed with the drink, I enjoyed the refreshing acidity like drinking yogurt. It felt a bit salty, but after walking around, I appreciated the saltiness. The tapioca was soft and chewy, with a texture similar to mochi. I have been drinking tapioca drinks recently, and I wonder if this tapioca drink trend will continue. Personally, I prefer being able to sit down and drink rather than standing at a stand.

Next to Keio Department Store's entrance, there is a tea stand that opened last year from Shanghai. When it first opened, there were long lines, but now it has calmed down. On a Saturday night, there wasn't much of a line, and it took about 7 minutes to get your order. They only have a stand, no seating area. They accept credit cards.
On this day, I ordered:
- Salty Cheese Tapioca Milk Tea for 648 yen (additional 100 yen for tapioca topping). I ordered it with less syrup since they cannot make it without ice. I love the cheese foam, so I couldn't think of ordering anything else. The salty cheese flavor is delicious. However, since it's milk tea with cheese foam, it's still sweet even with less syrup. It's quite milky, so it might have been good without syrup. It was still chilly that day, and many people ordered it hot, but mine had ice so it was very cold. I should have ordered it hot. The tapioca pearls were chewy and plentiful. I also received a stamp card. Another stamp card to add to the collection.

This store is located at the station, making it easy for wheelchair and stroller users to shop. There used to be long lines, but it seems to have calmed down recently. The tapioca pearls are large, so older people should be careful not to choke haha. The tapioca has a slight sweetness, and the milk tea is quite milky. I felt like there were not enough tapioca pearls, so it might be good to add more. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I tried the tapioca milk tea at this place called Gong Cha and it was delicious, so I decided to try it here. There were only about 5 people in line, but it seemed to take a long time. The staff seemed lacking in energy, and despite the cute atmosphere of the shop, it felt a bit gloomy. I ordered the tapioca milk tea without saying anything about the ice amount or sweetness level, as it wasn't mentioned (or I couldn't find it). The tapioca here was softer compared to Gong Cha and the portion was larger. The tea itself lacked the taste of tea and was just a sweet drink. Overall, Gong Cha was definitely tastier.

During this cold season, tapioca drinks are recommended as they are less crowded. I usually prefer to drink tapioca hot, so it's much appreciated (it makes the tapioca softer and tastier!). I went before 12 pm on a weekday and there was only one person waiting for their drink, so I felt lucky. This was my first visit, so I ordered the Four Seasons Spring Tea, which is a popular menu item at the store. The improved variety of Frozen Peak Oolong Tea was delicious, especially for someone like me who loves Oolong tea. The hot temperature made the tapioca perfectly soft as well! According to the staff, the Mango Jasmine Tea is recommended for warmer weather, so I will definitely visit again soon!

The tapioca and cheese tea at this place are delicious, with soft tapioca similar to Shiratama. The dishes and drinks are all tasty, and the staff are friendly and funny. The cost performance is good, and the atmosphere is stylish with a nice interior. Please follow on TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram if you'd like! (ID) → @hayashi_panda

It's been almost 2 months since the opening (11/29). I visited on a weekday evening and there was a bit of a line. I ordered the cheese tea that I was curious about.
- Tokyo Limited Salty Cheese Four Seasons Spring Tea (M) 500 yen
The Four Seasons Spring Tea has a floral aroma, refreshing taste with a hint of sweetness. The cheese cream is creamy and delicious, slightly sweet with a hint of rock salt. The top part is rich while the bottom tea is refreshing. You can mix it halfway through and enjoy the change in flavor.
My friend ordered the Tapioca Milk Tea (hot), which was on the sweeter side. The tapioca pearls were large and chewy. The staff asked if we wanted them to insert the straw, but I recommend doing it yourself as it mixes quickly once inserted.

On the first floor of Keio Department Store, almost along the west exit rotary, a new tapioca shop opened at the end of November last year. I didn't notice it until now, but the opening was about a month and a half ago. However, I noticed that they have already changed their business hours to close at 8 pm. They have three cash registers, so they can serve customers quickly. I purchased a hot tapioca milk tea for 540 yen. I recently had a delicious hot tapioca milk tea at another shop, so I was excited to try this one. They handed me the drink with a warning that it was hot, but it was actually lukewarm, even cooler than the other shop. The amount of tapioca seemed a bit small, but the chewy texture was excellent. It required a bit of jaw movement, so there was a satisfying "bite" to it. The sweetness level cannot be chosen, but it was not too sweet, just right.

Today, I noticed a yellow sign and decided to check it out. It turned out to be a tapioca shop, which I've never heard of before. It seems like they are expanding from Taipei. There wasn't much of a line, so I ordered a Lucky Milk Tea. It was served quickly. The tapioca was just the right texture for me, and there was a good amount of it. The milk tea was quite sweet, but they had a variety of tea options to choose from. However, the interior of the shop was a bit dirty, which was disappointing for a new establishment. Despite that, the food was delicious, so I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

More and more new tapioca drink shops are opening up. Happy Lemon is located on the left side of the front entrance of Keio Department Store at Shinjuku Station West Exit. The shop is take-out only. Upon entering, the right side is the order line, and the left side is the pick-up line. By the way, the speakers are heart-shaped, I didn't know that. The menu includes tapioca milk tea, size M, less ice, less syrup. I tried it for the first time and it was delicious. They also have matcha and cookie cream flavors, so I want to try them next time. When the classics are tasty, it makes you want to try other flavors. On the other side of the West Exit, there's Gong Cha, here's Happy Lemon, and in the electronics district, there's Coco. It's nice to have more options. No matter where you feel like having a drink, you can find one easily. Thank you for the meal. Check out my blog for more details. Please stop by!

I heard that this place recently opened! It's located right next to Keio Department Store in Shinjuku! It might be right by the exit of the Keio Line. There weren't too many customers when I went on a weekday morning. You order at the entrance and then wait outside for your order. Since it's Happy Lemon, I ordered the Lemon Jasmine Tea! I asked for no sweetness and no ice. It was for takeout, so they put it in a cute plastic bag. The tapioca pearls were big and chewy, really delicious. I'm glad they have options without milk! However, maybe because I took it to go, the lemon flavor was really strong! There were big chunks of lemon in it. The jasmine was refreshing, but the lemon was overpowering. It was sour. Maybe it would have tasted different if I had drunk it right away... I'll try drinking it right away next time!
