Awesome. Despite its humble appearance, this place offers meticulous dishes and a selection of good wines. An elderly local enjoying a bottle of wine and water dumplings at the counter alone, while young people next to him are focused on eating delicious food without worrying about their appearance. If this place was in my neighborhood, I would want to visit it once a week. (Even if you don't order wine, it's still worth it for less than 5,000 yen)

On Tuesdays, you can add 150 yen for a large portion of fried rice with the oil-drizzled chicken. The rice can be upgraded to a large portion for free, making it very filling. Other options include sweet and sour pork. The soup, like winter melon, is served with an additional side dish. The freshly fried dishes are very juicy and delicious, making you want to have them again.

Taiwanese restaurant near Hankyu Noda Station. I had been curious about it for a while, thinking it looked delicious. I visited for the first time on a weekend night. I made a last-minute phone reservation. The restaurant has a counter and tables, and it is of medium size. It was bustling. - Grilled dumplings (6 pieces) for 350 yen. The skin is thick and the filling is juicy. - Xiao Long Bao (3 pieces) for 540 yen. Very juicy and the skin is chewy. - Qingjiao Rousi for 850 yen. Generous portion, spicy and goes well with beer. - Fried rice for 800 yen. Just the right amount of salt. - Fried vermicelli for 950 yen. Includes meat, vegetables, and seafood. - Gao Shan Oolong tea for 500 yen in a bottle. - Medium bottle of beer for 650 yen. The total for two people was 4,640 yen. Every dish was very delicious with perfect seasoning. It was a Taiwanese restaurant with great skills. I would definitely like to visit again, for lunch as well.

I had the Lurohan and Zasai. The portion size is small, so it may be good for those with a small appetite, but most people may find it not filling enough. If you are an adult male, you should probably order another dish. The Zasai is more than half cucumber and has a strong flavor.

The restaurant "故郷" in Yoshino, Fukushima Ward specializes in Taiwanese cuisine. The deep-fried tofu (Taiwanese thick fried tofu) has a crispy outer layer and a soft inside, served with garlic soy sauce and cabbage pickles. The pickles are surprisingly delicious. The pan-fried dumplings look ordinary but taste just like regular dumplings. The deep-fried intestines (Taiwanese fried offal) have a unique texture and are flavored with Taiwanese spices, which may become addictive. The scallion pie is like a crepe filled with eggs and scallions, similar to Tonpei-yaki but more to my liking. The half-sized big chicken cutlet is a familiar Taiwanese dish, with a special spice blend that leaves a lasting impression. The Lu Rou Fan, a Taiwanese soul food, consists of sweet and savory stewed pork belly on rice, with a unique flavor that is truly delicious. Each dish is consistently tasty, making you crave a trip to Taiwan. The flavors are suitable for Japanese taste buds, so those who are not fond of strong flavors may also enjoy the dishes. Lunch options are varied and reservations are recommended.

The menu is extensive. We ordered a variety of dishes that caught our eye, such as water dumplings, xiaolongbao, noodles, oyster omelette, spare ribs, and more. Everything was delicious, and we felt like we wanted to try everything on the menu. Even though we were stuffed, we wished we had more room to eat. The atmosphere was authentic and enjoyable. Additionally, the prices were reasonable. We would love to come back for lunch.

Today's lunch was at the Taiwanese restaurant Noda Hankyu with everyone. The food here is delicious - the braised pork rice, yakisoba, large chicken cutlet, and stir-fried vegetables were all seasoned to my liking and excellent. My son really enjoyed the unique aroma of the Taiwanese pepper on the large chicken cutlet. I was happy to see him eat heartily. The set meal also came with winter melon soup and marinated dried tofu, which were also very nice. Looking at the menu, I noticed they also serve Kavalan whiskey, so I definitely want to come back for drinks in the evening. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

I went to a Taiwanese restaurant in Noda Hankyu. It's exciting to see more of these types of restaurants popping up and offering a variety of dishes to try. I ordered the "Weekly Special Lunch" which was quite extravagant! It included minced pork rice, Taiwanese crepe spring rolls, pork loin in gravy soup, boneless pork feet stew, golden kimchi, vegetable side dish, and dessert. I also ordered the large fried chicken as a side. The flavors of the minced pork rice and crepe were familiar, but the pork loin in gravy soup had a unique taste that I had never experienced before. It must be the taste of a Taiwanese home-cooked meal. When I asked if I could order the lunch menu during dinner time, I was told it's only available at night. Looks like I'll have to come back for dinner sometime!

Tonight, let's enjoy Taiwanese cuisine at a restaurant called "Kushan" near Nodahanshin Station without needing a passport. First, I was amazed by the pig's feet dish. The seasoning was delicious and the texture was very soft, with the meat falling off the bone. I couldn't believe pig's feet could taste this good! I also tried various other Taiwanese dishes and was impressed by the flavors. I enjoyed Taiwanese beer, Shaoxing wine, and Kavalan whisky. Although I have been to Taiwan three times for work and group trips, I had never tried street food before. This time, trying street food gave me a better understanding of Taiwanese dining culture, and it was a very meaningful experience.

I happened to have a meeting in Noda-Hanshin and it finished right around lunchtime, so I searched on Tabelog and found this place. When I visited, it had a strong Taiwanese diner vibe. They offer a variety of daily set meals, and on this day, you could choose from fried chicken, pork with green peppers, yakisoba, or ramen. I chose the fried chicken and pork with green peppers set with an option for minced pork rice. My colleague chose the yakisoba set with minced pork rice. The portions were generous and the taste was great. I discovered a must-visit restaurant in Noda-Hanshin!

[Taiwanese Cuisine "Hometown" Noda - Weekly Taiwan Lunch 1500 yen (+300 yen for Lu Rou Fan)] Noda's small Taiwanese restaurant, Ku Shan, offers a weekly changing lunch set that includes the mysterious dish from the beginning of the Ghibli masterpiece, Spirited Away. The cozy retro-pop interior of the small shop is inviting, and I couldn't resist trying out the lunch set with both the noodles and Lu Rou Fan. The meal was served generously with delicious vegetables, squid balls, and a gentle seaweed and egg soup. And finally, the mysterious dish - the texture was amazing with a chewy skin filled with savory pork filling in a sweet miso-like sauce. It was a dream come true to taste the dish I always wanted to try from Spirited Away. The Lu Rou Fan was a great choice with tender and flavorful pork that soaked the rice in its delicious sauce. I personally enjoyed mixing the pork with the rice for an even richer taste. As for the noodles, they were incredibly rich in bonito flavor, enhanced by cilantro and mysterious spices. The dessert was a sweet and refreshing gelatin-like treat. Overall, the menu promises addiction after just one try, so it might not be for everyone. I look forward to coming back to see what new surprises await on the weekly menu.

In 1967, Noda Hanshin opened a town Chinese restaurant called "Beijing," and in 2021, it was renovated as "Taiwanese and Chinese Cuisine Hometown (Kushan)." The dishes are prepared by a mother from Taipei, and the owner cooks authentic Taiwanese cuisine. The daily special Taiwan lunch is ¥1,500, and Taiwan beer Gold Medal (Kinpai) is ¥600. Takeout half-sized Gua Bao is ¥500. Eight years ago, I visited Taiwan with my daughter when she was in junior high school. The side dishes include three types: black wood ear mushrooms in vinegar, Taiwanese-style soy sauce eggs, and seasonal greens (bitter melon). The soup of the day is Sour Tan, a tangy and spicy thick soup with lots of ingredients. The main dishes include high mustard and braised pork belly Chinese burger, and a choice between a light ramen from a food stall or Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) for an additional ¥300. I chose Lu Rou Fan, which had a subtle star anise aroma and a delicious sweet and savory sauce with mustard greens and white pickled radish on top. For dessert, there is Dou Hua (Tofu Pudding), a traditional Taiwanese sweet made with soy milk. It has a gentle sweetness and is served with syrup, sweet potato dumplings made from Annou Imo (yellow) and Taro Imo (purple), offering a chewy texture with a hint of sweetness. The Taiwan beer Gold Medal is a refreshing and crisp lager beer that pairs well with the dishes. I wanted to try the famous Gua Bao, but after a satisfying lunch, I got a half-sized one for takeout. It is a crispy and juicy Taiwanese fried chicken with a hint of five-spice powder. Hometown offers a taste of Taiwan with its home-cooked dishes, making it a recommended spot for Taiwanese cuisine in Noda Hanshin. Thank you for the delicious meal! Instagram: @fukushima_kumin

It's been a while since I visited the Luroufan Nodasaka in my hometown. The hot and lightly flavored Luroufan with vegetables, pickles, and egg were delicious and I couldn't stop eating. I decided to try something new from the menu and discovered the Weisui Jiao - a chewy dough filled with pork and mixed vegetables, almost like a snack but also goes well with rice. The flavor of the filling was delicious and I was happy to try a new dish. I think this dish will be popular with children and might become a trend like tapioca once it catches on. Many customers around me ordered the yakisoba set today, which looked really delicious, and I also noticed they have Kavalan on the alcohol menu, a Taiwanese drink, so I plan to come back for drinks at night. Thank you for the delicious meal. #Eating what I like #Asian cuisine enthusiasts #Taiwanese food someday #luroufan #魯肉飯

I stopped by "Kushan" in front of Noda-Hanshin Station to satisfy my hunger before going to bed. Since I couldn't drink, I was craving Shaoxing wine, so I decided to order the "Champon" dish. The restaurant was filled with young people, and I noticed that many people these days don't drink alcohol. In about 10 minutes, my dish arrived. The rich pork bone-based soup with a strong pepper flavor was delicious, and I enjoyed the taste of the vegetables. The abundant crispy vegetables added a healthy touch to the dish. The chewy and bouncy noodles were thick and straight, and I enjoyed the hot bowl of noodles while feeling sleepy. I can't wait to go back with my close friends to try more dishes from the intriguing menu. This was my 108th bowl of ramen this year.

Today's lunch was at a Taiwanese restaurant that I've been eyeing near my house, called "Taiwanese & Chinese Cuisine Furusato." Even though I arrived around 13:10, the restaurant was almost full! It's really popular! Luckily, there was one table available, so I was seated there. Lucky me! I quickly looked through the menu. It seems they mainly offer daily specials and Taiwanese lunches for lunch. Since it was my first visit, I decided to go for the weekly special Taiwanese lunch for 1,500 yen. The set included three-color pickled radish, dried tofu cold salad, seasonal greens, squid surimi soup, choice of Taiwanese fried vermicelli or Lu Rou Fan, and pork meatball soup with chrysanthemum leaves, topped off with homemade almond tofu. You can choose between Taiwanese fried vermicelli and Lu Rou Fan, or pay an extra 300 yen to have both. This time, I chose Lu Rou Fan! The food arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. Firstly, we had the three-color pickled radish, which was a refreshing appetizer. The dried tofu cold salad was delicious, with a nice texture and flavor. The seasonal greens were cooked perfectly, making you want to eat it with rice. The squid surimi soup was a unique taste, similar to a mild sweet and sour pork sauce. The Lu Rou Fan, a Taiwanese classic, was topped with finely chopped braised pork, greens, and pickled mustard greens. The aroma of the star anise in the braised pork was amazing! The pork meatball soup with chrysanthemum leaves was delightful, with handmade chewy dumplings. Lastly, the homemade almond tofu was a pleasant surprise with its smooth and chewy texture. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I definitely plan to come back to try more dishes from their extensive menu! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Taiwanese/Chinese cuisine "Kousen" (Fukushima-ku, Osaka) on a Tuesday. I decided to have lunch as I couldn't finish my errand in Noda in the morning. My feet are hurting, even though I haven't been drinking much alcohol or eating shrimp or liver, so it's not gout. I have blisters on the soles of my feet, making it painful to walk far. I remembered a restaurant today. It used to be called "Beijing," then had two signs for "Beijing" and "Kousen," but now it's completely rebuilt and called "Kousen." I haven't been since it became Kousen. I checked the menu outside and saw items over 1000 yen, but also noticed a lunch starting from 850 yen, so I went in. The Tuesday lunch special was Oily Chicken. I asked for the Oily Chicken, which was thin chicken pieces with a unique crispy coating. The rice was just right. The soup had soft ingredients, and I was surprised to find a yellow filling inside a slimy dumpling-like object. It was interesting how different it was from Japanese Chinese cuisine.

☆Mrs. and I went on a casual lunch trip (Noda-Hanshin)!: I was disappointed to find out that a restaurant that used to serve Taiwanese cuisine, with my favorite being the "Pork Man," had closed without my knowledge. However, I was delighted to hear that the sons had reopened the restaurant under a new name in the same location and eagerly paid a visit. - No parking available. $ Order! - "Taiwan Pork Steak One-Plate Lunch" for 1200 yen (tax included)… 3.2: - Comes with soup "Gong Wan Soup (Taiwan Pork Ball Soup)" and dessert "Dou Hua (Sweet Potato Dumplings and Tapioca)." - The plate includes: - Taiwanese-style pork steak on rice - Slightly sweet pickled mustard greens - Simmered egg - Stir-fried greens (stir-fried water spinach) - Vegetable pickles - It was delicious but lacked any distinctive features. When the previous mother used to cook, I remember it having more of a Taiwanese flavor with herbs. It was tasty and satisfying. - "Weekly Enjoyable Taiwanese Lunch" for 1500 yen… 3.3: - Includes: - Soup "Gong Wan Soup" - Dessert "Dou Hua" - Lu Rou Fan (Simmered egg, greens, pickled radish) - Stir-fried greens - Edamame (Black pepper soybeans) - Black Fungus Liang Xiang (Black fungus in vinegar) - Ji Pai (Taiwanese-style spicy fried chicken) - The Ji Pai was incredibly delicious! The skin was crispy and flavorful. I would go back just for this dish. Closing Thoughts: Overall, it is a delicious meal that would appeal to everyone. However, I personally wish it had more herbs and spices to truly capture the unique Taiwanese flavor. Also, I believe the pricing would be more competitive at 1000 yen or 1300 yen. Thank you for your support with likes, saving the restaurant, and following. If you have any recommended restaurants, feel free to share in the comments. Thank you all for your continued support.

Kushan, a Taiwanese restaurant that had been closed for a long time due to rebuilding, is located south of Nodashinkansen Station. Despite the high number of reservations on weekends, I managed to get a seat without an appointment as a solo diner. The cutlery was simple, but the chopsticks were of high quality. The menu offered reasonably priced dishes that were delicious. The Taiwanese street food dish, Chit Pai, was particularly tasty with fried chicken sprinkled with five-spice powder. I also tried the dumplings, which were not Taiwanese but still excellent. They were so juicy that I had to be careful not to burn my mouth. Following the recommendation, I ordered a large portion of fried rice, which turned out to be delicious. The soup served was also flavorful, showcasing the chef's skill. Despite being a casual Chinese restaurant, it was always packed on weekends due to its delicious food, reasonable prices, and convenient location near the station. It was a great experience dining at Kushan, and I look forward to returning in the future.
