Ginza Kanraku is famous for its mini dorayaki, which is delicious. However, this time, what caught my eye was the "sweet potato yokan" with bright red maple leaves on top, giving a sense of autumn. The heat has finally started to ease up a bit, and mornings and evenings are starting to feel a little more like fall. It's nice to feel the autumn season through food. I wondered if the maple leaves on top were edible, so I took a bite and found out they were salted, edible maple leaves (probably). The sweet potato yokan was not too sweet, with a smooth texture and a natural sweetness from the sweet potatoes.

The mochi part of the Daifuku was extremely soft, and it was filled with plenty of sweet bean paste. The bean paste was not too sweet and very elegant. It was noticeably different from other Daifuku, making it a recommended product for gifts. (Best consumed on the same day) Thank you for the meal.

It's a reasonably priced Japanese confectionery shop in the department store basement. I love their Daifuku with beans and the sweetfish they have in the summer. Their Dorayaki, Ginroku Mochi with sweet bean paste in a mochi flour dough, and Daifuku are perfect for souvenirs! I mistakenly thought "Amaraku" was the name, but it's actually "Kanra."

Three-color Mochi Cake 258 yen
Three cute bite-sized mochi cakes, each about 4cm tall. The white one has smooth red bean paste, the green one has chunky red bean paste, and the pink one has miso paste. The mochi is soft and the paste is high-quality. It's great that you can try a little bit of each of the three flavors. I especially like the miso paste. Also, it's convenient that the expiration date is the next day.

In this season, sakura mochi and daifuku are being sold as the main items. I purchased daifuku and it was cute and delicious, with pink color and sweet bean paste for filling. The most important thing is the taste, so I chose bean daifuku over strawberry daifuku. The daifuku was delicious enough, but the sweet potato-like softness of the sweet bean paste was exceptional. Beautiful wagashi are truly a treasure of Japan. Thank you for the feast.

"Matsukazeya - $185: A fluffy, slightly yellowish fabric filled with delicious red bean paste. Although Matsukazeya is displayed in boxes on the shelves, you can actually purchase just one if you'd like. When you open the bag, a sweet aroma fills the air. The fabric is soft and delicate, while the red bean paste has a nice texture that complements it well."

◼️Sakuramochi 206 yen Originally I prefer the grilled skin of Nagameiji over Doamyoji. The photo was beautifully taken in a spring-like manner. The saltiness of the pickled cherry blossoms and the sweet bean paste match perfectly. The mochi skin made of bracken flour is chewy and delicious. I will buy it again if I see it. It's a seasonal pleasure during spring.
◼️Red and White Doamyoji 237 yen On top of a cherry blossom leaf, there are mini red and white Doamyoji. The white one has white bean paste and the red one has sweet bean paste. They disappear in no time when you take a bite. Despite their small size, I really like the bean paste here. Delicious.
◼️Ginrokumochi 5 pieces 565 yen Bought it as a Valentine's gift for a friend who loves bean paste. They are delicious, so I like these mini dorayaki. I will buy some for myself next time.

I have a tendency to go to food shows, so today I ended up at Ecute in the Scramble Square. I had this image that it would be expensive, but I bought some Japanese sweets for just over 1000 yen. I thought it might be good for when I get a little hungry...but then I remembered I have a health check-up next week. I need to control myself...

Located in Shibuya's Scramble Square, Ginza Kanraku offers delicious treats such as the Ginroku Mochi. It looks like a mini dorayaki, but has a chewier texture than traditional dorayaki. Despite its small size, it has a satisfyingly firm bite and tastes delicious.

◼️I have been a repeat customer of the yomogi daifuku many times. The strong scent of yomogi and the perfect amount of sweet red bean paste make it delicious as always.◼️The pumpkin manju is so soft that it crumbles when you press it with your tongue. The pumpkin filling is moist and the outer skin is like a steamed bun, making it delicious in a classic way.

The taro yokan was not dry at all and was juicy and delicious. The chestnut paste was warm and comforting, I had never tried it in an osechi meal before, but it seems like this kind of flavor and texture is common. The chestnut paste I had at a different restaurant recently was almost the same.

I became a fan of the Yomogi Daifuku after buying it once and have been reordering it many times. The expiration date was the same day, but I tried it the next day. The mochi was a bit harder compared to when I ate it on the same day, lacking the softness and stretchiness. However, the red bean paste remained delicious as always. Ideally, it would be great if it could maintain its quality both on the same day and the next day, but overall, it was still good.

I found some adorable mini-sized daifuku that look like miniatures! They may be small, but they are filled with delicious anko and taste authentic. The sweets here have such cute shapes! It really boosts my mood when eating them.

The lemon water bun was delicious, so I decided to buy it again. The red bean paste inside was tangy and tasty. The outer layer was soft and cool, like frozen ice cream. It's perfect for when you want a mild coldness rather than something icy. I've become addicted to the mugwort daifuku. The strong scent of mugwort and delicious red bean paste make it irresistible.

◼️Yomogi Daifuku is as delicious as ever! It's always tasty no matter how many times you eat it.◼️Mochi Barley Ohagi 4-Flavor Set: Smooth red bean paste... sweeter than chunky red bean paste. Chunky red bean paste... the mochi part has a grainy texture. The red bean paste is also delicious. Sesame... filled with red bean paste. Kinako (soybean flour)... filled with red bean paste. The mochi part is very grainy and all of them are delicious, but I especially like the chunky red bean paste, sesame, and kinako flavors.

- Zunda Daifuku: 288 yen, can be eaten on the same day. Up until now, I've never really thought zunda-related sweets were delicious, but this one has a gentle sweetness and is tasty. The mochi is soft and stretches nicely with plenty of zunda filling, which is a vibrant green color and looks beautiful.
- Lemon Mizumanju: 237 yen, can be eaten the next day. The outer layer is clear like water, and it's really smooth and cool. The tangy lemon filling is refreshing and has a lovely summer-like combination that tastes delicious.
- Apple Pie: 211 yen, can last for 10 days. Warm it up in a toaster for a crispy texture. The sweet red bean paste pairs well with the sweet and sour apples, making it delicious. This is a classic souvenir-style sweet that has been around for a long time.

◼️Yomogi Daifuku 206 yen
The expiration date is the same day, this is my second time ordering it. The scent of yomogi is strong, the mochi is soft, and the anko filling is lightly sweet which I like. It's not overly sweet, probably because it doesn't contain preservatives. The short shelf life is a bit inconvenient, but it's worth it for the delicious taste.
◼️Orihiko 258 yen
The expiration date is the next day. Surprisingly, the crispy outer layer is delicious! It's chewy, and the green part has a hint of yomogi flavor. I checked the ingredients and found out that it contains warabi flour, which gives it a unique texture. It's nice to be able to enjoy two different flavors. The star decoration with gold leaf is cute and would surely be loved by children.
◼️Mayui 185 yen
The expiration date is about 1 week. They don't sell them individually, but you can ask for it. The outer layer is fluffy, while the inside has a firm sweet bean paste filling. It's tasty, but it lacks a distinctive character, so I don't have a strong reason to repurchase. It seems like packaged wagashi are just like this.
◼️Hachiko Monaka 226 yen
The expiration date is about 9 days. They don't sell them individually, but you can ask for it. It's cute!!! I bought it because it contains gyuhi. The design of the dog's face is familiar, but seeing the whole body from this angle is unique and even cuter. Dog lovers will definitely appreciate it. The filling has an equal amount of sweet bean paste and gyuhi, but I wish there was a bit more anko.

Two days in a row of takeout ◼️ Mame Daifuku was delicious even though there is no photo. The mochi was soft, the red bean paste was smooth, and it had a nice, mild sweetness. It's a bit challenging that the expiration date is today, but I will definitely order it again ◼️ Sansei Sasamochi has an expiration date for the next day. Maybe because it contains trehalose, it remains soft even when eaten the next day. The three colors are filled with red bean paste in the green and white ones, and miso paste in the pink one. They were all delicious, and I would love to order them again. It's very much appreciated that they stay fresh until the next day even with trehalose in them.

I wonder if it will come across. The bitterness of the grainy skin is pleasant. I bought it at Shibuya Scramble Square. I ended up buying it because it was called "konatsu," which sounded cute, but I didn't know it was a type of citrus fruit. The skin has grainy bits that give a refreshing sourness with a hint of bitterness, which feels nice. It's different from just eating sweet fruits, you know? You don't really feel the flesh, but thanks to the skin, it feels more realistic. The small size is also great, perfect for a snack.

I purchased a soft and sweet treat for a quick snack. I love it! The mochi is surprisingly soft and chewy. The beans are cooked just right, creating a nice balance. The red bean paste inside is made of whole beans, which I really like! I prefer Japanese sweets that are not too sweet. I personally love soft and chewy mochi, so this treat was right up my alley.
