The first floor has counter and table seating available for both members and non-members. The newly renovated "Onikai" on the second floor is exclusively for members, featuring a unique L-shaped counter with 9 seats, offering a special dining experience. The restaurant uses a premium brand chicken called "Kyokuchou Tori" that differs from the chicken used on the first floor, resulting in slightly higher prices but exceptional taste and course offerings. During a recent visit for a special course priced at 13,000 yen, the reviewer enjoyed dishes such as sea urchin breast, Kyokuchou Tori tataki, egg sandwich with Tanba eggs and truffles, gourmet king special with sea urchin and salmon roe, chicken broth ramen, almond ice cream with ripe Dekopon skewers, negima skewers, aburi shin, Shari chicken brian, blowfish breast, tsukune, sasami with sansho pepper, and tebasaki. I went to the Gion Shirakawa branch of Kumano Yakitori. They are very particular about their chicken, and their "Ultimate Chicken Thigh Meat" uses large chickens, resulting in firm and crispy meat with a new and delicious texture. The ultimate highball was also quite good, with the bitterness of the highball and the elegant aroma of citrus peel being a perfect match! It's simply wonderful.

I couldn't get a reservation easily, so I made a reservation through Instagram. I booked about 2-3 weeks in advance. The taste was excellent. There was no all-you-can-drink option, so the cost of drinks added up. To become a member, it costs 16,500 yen with an annual fee of 3,300 yen.

I heard that it's quite difficult to make a reservation, so I made one early! I had a reservation for 19:15 and arrived 20 minutes early! They wouldn't let us in until the exact time, so we waited outside. I ordered the bear yakitori course with drinks included for 6000 yen! Drinks included!! I was surprised! I started with a draft beer and then had their homemade lemon sour from the second drink! It was so delicious that I lost count of how many drinks I had! And the yakitori! The attention to detail and the careful preparation really showed in the taste! I don't think I've ever had yakitori this delicious before. The staff probably wanted us to try the visually appealing dishes like ikura rice or uni rice, but I highly recommend the yakitori! I ended up ordering more and more because it was so delicious! I couldn't decide on the best skewer because they were all amazing! The young staff members were very attentive and we had a great time! I would love to visit their Tokyo branch next time!

I visited the restaurant on a special day. The yakitori was delicious, but the sea urchin and salmon roe rice bowl was really amazing! It wasn't included in the course menu, so I think it cost around 7000 yen as a single item. It's not cheap, but it's worth ordering because it looks cute and tastes delicious. They also prepared a surprise for us when we mentioned it in advance, so we had a wonderful anniversary celebration! Thank you for the delicious meal!

Special course ¥13000, a members-only yakitori restaurant in Tenroku that I had the chance to visit once, and even to Onikai in Gion ❤️‍❤️‍ Gion Shirakawa 1st floor seems to be open to the general public, so non-members can also go! I tried the limited menu at the 4th anniversary event, which was the Truffle Egg Rice. Unfortunately, it had the least amount of truffle compared to previous dishes. I hope the next time I order, it will be more impressive. The food was always enjoyable and delicious.

Kumaken finally visited his long-awaited "Kuma no Yakitori Gion Shirakawa"❄️ This was his first time at a Kyoto location, having previously been to the members-only store in Osaka. Also, since the restaurant is mainly for members, non-members or first-time visitors must make a reservation, so please be careful! I visited Bear Yakitori Gion Shirakawa. They use a grilling method called "sumibiyaki," where they grill the meat over charcoal with dripping chicken fat, resulting in incredibly juicy and perfectly cooked skewers. Each skewer is perfectly cooked with just the right amount of heat and size. Highly recommended items include the heart, tsukune, and chicken liver. The heart is incredibly juicy and flavorful. The tsukune is not too tough or too soft, perfectly cooked through with excellent salt seasoning. The chicken liver is a must-try for liver lovers. Of course, we finished with the Kin Kan TKG! Member-exclusive, second-floor dining experience. It was delicious! The course, including all-you-can-drink, was around 13,000 yen. The additional yakitori we ordered was too salty on this particular day. While the yakitori itself is usually very tasty, there are occasional days when the salt is too strong, making it a miss. It's about a 50/50 chance, so improvement is expected.

I became interested in Oyakodon, but the yakitori was also delicious and the ultimate highball was enjoyable. The staff were young and lively, creating a fun atmosphere in a very cozy restaurant. I had a great time enjoying delicious food and drinks.
