I went shopping at the end of the year and decided to have lunch at a restaurant. The restaurant I visited was Anbai, a seasonal and traditional cuisine restaurant located on the 7th floor of Namba Parks. As I entered the restaurant and looked at the menu, I was intrigued by the weekday special Select Gohan set. The options for the Select Gohan set included the daily special (which was beef tendon stew on that day), Chicken Nanban, grated radish hamburger (80g), black soybean natto and okra salad, beef tendon curry (just the roux), and Inaniwa udon (hot or cold). You could choose two side dishes from these options. There were also various other lunch menu items available. I was torn between the Select Gohan set and the Steak Gohan set, but ended up ordering the Steak Gohan set. The Steak Gohan set included steak, small side dishes, organic vegetable mini salad, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), soup, pickles, and rice. The steak was available in 100g for 1180 yen, 200g for 1580 yen, and 300g for 1980 yen, and I chose the 200g option. I received a complimentary drink after ordering. While waiting and sipping on my drink, the Steak Gohan set arrived. The main steak dish came with homemade red wine sauce, which had a Japanese twist to it. Rock salt was also served with the steak for seasoning. The steak was delicious and cooked to my liking, and the rice paired well with it. The salad, chawanmushi, side dishes, and drink bar were included in the price, making it a great deal. I felt satisfied after finishing the meal. The weekday special Select Gohan set included Chicken Nanban and the daily special (beef tendon stew on that day). The beef tendon stew was generous with meat chunks and also a good value. I ended the meal with a hot coffee from the drink bar. The relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant allowed me to enjoy my meal leisurely. With various lunch sets available, I would definitely want to visit again when I go to Parks next time. 🍽️
