In September 2017, I visited Yuhaimu near Izumi Fuchu Station. Despite arriving close to 9 pm, the store was still open. I'm not sure if this branch is officially listed on their website, but it seems to have been around for a while. Yuhaimu is known for their Baumkuchen, but I decided to buy a cake this time. I was torn between the Frankfurter Kranz, a childhood favorite, and the Mont Blanc, but ended up getting the Mont Blanc for 476 yen. The Mont Blanc had a biscuit and sponge cake base with a generous amount of Mont Blanc cream. When I tried it at home, I noticed a red, jelly-like layer on top. It was unusual to have jam in a Mont Blanc, but it didn't overpower the chestnut flavor. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!
