This is a chain of kushikatsu restaurants established in 1960. They offer a unique style where customers can order an "omakase" set of seasonal kushikatsu skewers. The skewers are served with a variety of sauces and salts, eliminating the need for explanations. The tray for the kushikatsu and the condiments are strategically designed for easy dipping. The long-time staff members indicate a commitment to quality. The "Katsusan Original" set with 10 skewers, salad, rice, miso soup, and pickles was delicious. The atmosphere is upscale, and the bill came to 6,170 yen for two people, including drinks. They accept card payments and offer a lunch menu with a quick service of kushikatsu. This restaurant has contributed to the evolution of high-end kushikatsu culture.

The restaurant has 7 locations in the city and is known for its kushikatsu. The omakase option is popular at night, but I visited for lunch. Prices start at 980 yen including tax, which is very reasonable. I tried the Tonkatsu set for 980 yen, which came with 6 pieces of pork kushikatsu, salad, rice, and miso soup. The kushikatsu was fried just right and delicious. They offer two types of sauce, and I preferred the dark, spicy one. I would like to come back for dinner sometime.

On this day, we had a farewell party at "Kushi Katsu Ryori Katsu Namba Walk" restaurant. We ordered the omakase course with stick vegetables, cabbage, umeboshi kombu tea, and dessert. We started with a toast with draft beer! It was so delicious! Each table had stick vegetables and cabbage, with five types of sauce - seafood, mustard, sauce (for vegetables), salt, and special sauce (for meat). There was also lemon available! The plates for the kushi katsu were divided into five sections, and the kushi katsu would be served in the corresponding section with the matching sauce. The kushi katsu chef served us in order, stopping only when we said so. Each dish was explained by the staff. While enjoying the delicious kushi katsu and beer, we had a lot to eat! Everything was delicious, especially the shrimp and pork fillet. The special sauce on the right end was extremely tasty! When our pace slowed down, the staff asked if we wanted to stop. We requested two more pieces before stopping. I only took a photo of the last piece. I said, "I'm full! I didn't eat 30 pieces, right?" The staff replied, "You had 23 pieces." I said, "I'm full with 23 pieces." The staff mentioned that some people eat up to 58 pieces. We finished with umeboshi kombu tea and dessert (ice cream). It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I have been going to the long-established kushikatsu restaurant "Katsu" in Umeda since I was a child, and I decided to visit again after a long time, especially with the GoTo Eat campaign. The style of freshly frying one skewer after another is really great! They offer a variety of skewers, some with ingredients like matsutake mushrooms or crab in their natural form, while others are wrapped in meat or fish with vegetables like watercress or okra. One interesting dish I found was chestnut wrapped in bacon. I never thought of frying chestnuts before, but it was delicious. Asparagus and shrimp are classics, but they are still tasty. I ate about 25 skewers and felt full, but surprisingly, I didn't feel heavy despite it being fried food. It may be a bit pricey, but kushikatsu at Katsu is definitely worth it! The only downside is that the selection of sake is a bit limited.

Today, I visited Namba Walk Sanbashi and decided to try out "Kushikatsu Ryori Katsu" which I hadn't visited before. I chose the Tonroast set meal for 920 yen. The lunch menu has options starting from around 2,000 yen, but I went for the lower priced Tonroast set. The kushikatsu set came with six skewers, each with thin coating and meat. It had a refined appearance. There were two types of sauces available, but the mustard-flavored sauce was a perfect match for the kushikatsu. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I noticed they have branches in Umeda and Tennoji, so I would like to visit them if I have the chance. I walked the path diligently, enjoyed the meal, and have no regrets.

I visited this restaurant for lunch. I usually don't like Osaka's kushikatsu places because they feel cheap and noisy, but this shop is clean and has a high-class atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious kushikatsu in a calm setting. The oil they use for frying seems to be clean, as the batter is not dark brown and doesn't leave you feeling heavy.

Namba Walk Lunch! Pork loin skewer set for 837 yen. The set includes 6 pork loin skewers, white rice, miso soup, and pickles. The simple pork loin skewers taste great with the sweet and savory sauce, making the white rice very appetizing. If the price was a bit cheaper, I would have visited more often. Every little bit adds up, thank you for the meal.

On a holiday evening, the request was for kushikatsu, so we took the train to Namba Walk. Unfortunately, the desired restaurant was full, so we wandered around and found "Kushi Katsu Ryori Katsu Namba Walk" restaurant. This place, "Katsu," has been open since I was a child in 1960. The kushikatsu here brought back memories of how tasty it was back then. The variety of sauces and the rule against double-dipping were innovative at the time. We ordered the 10-piece course for 3000 yen, enjoyed a highball, cabbage and vegetable sticks, and waited for the skewers. The skewers arrived, starting with pork, shrimp, asparagus, and finally, shimeji mushrooms which were the best. Despite having some room left in our stomachs, we left early. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday. I arrived after 2pm and missed the lunch menu, so I ordered the chef's choice course. The lunch hours were fully booked. The deep-fried skewers made from mashed edamame were surprisingly delicious and sweet. They brought them out in sets of 3, which was great for pacing and portion control.

This is not a very large shop, but it is always lively. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in the professional skills. The shrimp-stuffed shiitake mushrooms, ginkgo nuts, lotus roots, asparagus, and kisu are especially recommended. They are delicious. They are so delicious that I end up drinking too much beer. The staff are also brisk and pleasant.

The shop provides excellent customer service with polite guidance and explanations of each skewer that comes with the omakase course, such as which sauce pairs best with each skewer. I would love to visit this kushikatsu restaurant again in the future.

I always have the same lunch: pork fillet rice, red miso soup, pickles, salad, and 6 skewers of pork fillet. The spicy sauce with the pork fillet is my favorite. I have eaten it many times, and I am convinced that the pork fillet skewers are the most delicious compared to any other skewers on the menu.

On this day, I felt like eating kushikatsu, so I visited Kushikatsu Katsusan in Nijinomachi. It was already late, so we managed to finish our course before the last order was called! We both ate around 20 skewers each and were full ^-^ As always, the food was delicious. They used seasonal ingredients, including conger eel, which was satisfying. The staff were also very kind. Since we were driving, we couldn't drink alcohol, but we left right after eating as we were the last customers. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again ^-^

Now, for the second round of evening drinks, we headed to Namba Walk and found a slightly well-rated place called "Kushi Katsu Ryori Katsu." Initially, we thought of having a casual drink for around 2000 yen, but we were somewhat forced into ordering a course menu at this restaurant (⌒-⌒; ) Well, it's fine I guess... On the table, there were lemons, 5 types of sauces, condiments, cabbage, and stick vegetables lined up. The 5 types of sauces included vinegar, mustard sauce, secret black sauce, flavored salt, and secret tea sauce. We enjoyed the vegetables with flavored salt and vinegar. Surprisingly, they were delicious! The kushi katsu (skewers) were placed in containers divided into 5 sections, parallel to the sauce dish for easy identification! Quite an innovative system! We started with asparagus, shrimp, and pork loin. Asparagus was paired with mustard sauce, shrimp with flavored salt, and pork loin with secret tea sauce. The sauces were unique and tasty. The second round included enoki bacon, quail egg, and scallop. We added 2 more skewers for the third round. Overall, we had a couple of draft beers and the bill came to around 3000 yen. This place might divide opinions based on the course menu system, but it's worth a visit with a group of friends who are up for a hearty meal. Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m

Three of us, excluding a friend who is not particularly interested in food, stumbled upon this restaurant while wandering around. We had never been here before, so we decided to give it a try. There were set meals for under 1000 yen, but we ended up choosing the Ayaka Gohan for 1420 yen, as it featured healthy ingredients like white shrimp, asparagus, mochi, and seafood. The menu also mentioned that they could accommodate special requests, which was great for my friends who had certain food preferences. As for the kushikatsu, I was looking forward to the mochi, but unfortunately, it was missing. I enjoyed the other skewers, although I found them a bit oily. We were able to choose between vanilla and matcha ice cream for dessert. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I think the counter seats make it a good option for solo diners as well.
