Nigiri Chojiro, located on the second floor of Hozenji Yokocho in Namba, Osaka. The name of the restaurant is written in English as Chojiro, possibly targeting inbound tourists. I visited the restaurant after seeing it on a TV show, but it was not very crowded on a Sunday night. I tried their specialty, one whole horse mackerel sushi and finished with bone senbei. It was really delicious and worth the price. The other dishes were also tasty, but the chawanmushi came out so quickly after ordering that I wondered if it was microwaved. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but you have to order everything through an iPad, which was a bit difficult due to the layout.

Recommended sushi restaurant even though it may be a bit pricey. The sushi is fresh overall with great fatty texture. Seasonal items and sushi are both irresistible, especially the luxurious platter with 3 types of sea urchin, sweet shrimp, and salmon roe. If you want sushi, you will be satisfied here!

While strolling around Minami with my husband, we felt a bit hungry and decided to look for sushi. We stumbled upon Choujirou Hozoji store. There were quite a few sushi restaurants along the shopping street in Minami, but they were all crowded with tourists. It was around 4 pm, so the restaurant was quiet with only three groups of customers inside. The tamago seemed a bit overcooked, and the scallop butter was a bit bland. However, the shrimp, salmon, octopus, corn, and seafood salad were delicious as expected. The medium fatty tuna was flavorful and had a great texture. The crispy yam and plum roll was refreshing and tasty. The dessert, sweet potato with vanilla ice cream, was a bit disappointing as the sweet potato seemed deep-fried. It would have been better if it was slightly sweeter to complement the vanilla ice cream. Personally, I preferred the vanilla ice cream served in a separate dish rather than on the same plate. It was a nice touch. I always find it sad when the ice cream melts quickly due to the hot sweet potato, so this presentation made me very happy. Apologies for not talking about the sushi toppings.

The comparison items are large and thick, especially the eel and conger eel have a lot of volume! If you're going to eat multiple plates of 100 yen conveyor belt sushi, I recommend Nagajiro. Personally, I feel that 100 yen sushi tends to have thin toppings and lacks a sense of satisfaction. In that sense, considering the overall quality, it's quite reasonable. The atmosphere is clean and bright inside. The average price per plate is around 400-500 yen. Of course, it depends on what you order. For example, 2 pieces of conger eel cost 260 yen, and eel costs 460 yen. We also tried the seasonal kawahagi, which was delicious! I recommend visiting Hozenji Temple before going there.

I visited the revolving sushi restaurant that opened in Hozonji Yokocho. It was nice to be able to easily order using the touch panel, and there were several unique menu items to enjoy. The relaxed atmosphere made the dining experience enjoyable. I would like to visit again when I go to Hozonji Yokocho.

Sushi Series Part 2: Osaka Edition
After eating too much sushi, I decided to take a break at a hotel in Namba. Even though it was around 9 PM and I wasn't really hungry, I decided to go out and find a place to eat. I ended up at a sushi restaurant that was still open late. The restaurant was on the second floor, and it was packed with a lot of foreigners. I had to write my name on a piece of paper and wait for a seat. After a 30-minute wait, I was finally seated at the counter. I noticed that you had to order using a touch panel. I ordered some premium items like medium fatty tuna, yellowtail, seared salmon, and grilled eel. The sushi was decent, but what made me happy was that they had scallions on top. Overall, the taste was okay, but I was glad they had scallions, as some places don't offer them.

On a holiday in Minami, I walked around and ended up back at Hozanji for sushi lunch. I chose the daily special, a few pieces of nigiri that I could easily pick up. I also ordered karasumi daikon and continued sipping on my drink. At the table next to me, they were enjoying hand-rolled sushi with a bucket of rice and toppings, which looked interesting. I might try that next time if it's on the menu. [Lunch] Daily special: bamboo, ark shell, karasumi daikon

There is a revolving sushi restaurant on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a building with establishments like Namba Hozoji Yokocho and Fufuzenzai. Originally, there was Sushi Han on this prime location. The restaurant is quite large with over 100 seats. When I visited in the afternoon, it was bustling with tourists, including many foreigners. I ordered the Maguro set for 1,015 yen, which included Otoro, Chutoro, Negitoro gunkan, and Tekkamaki. These types of restaurants usually have convenient set menus like this, making it easy to order. The taste was not bad, but the Otoro could have been fattier. The Negitoro was smooth. I also tried the Aburi Sanmai for 496 yen, which included eel, scallop, and salmon. The searing was not perfect, with the eel being thin and the scallop thick and sweet. The single-serving Aji nigiri for 993 yen was made with live horse mackerel, which tasted fresh and delicious. After finishing, they turned the remaining parts into crispy bone crackers, which were tasty and rich in calcium. This is a recommended dish when visiting this place. Although slightly pricier than major chain restaurants, the quality of the ingredients is good. The restaurant is clean and spacious, making it surprisingly relaxing. It might get crowded during meal times, but it seems like a good choice at other times. That's what I thought about the restaurant.

A slightly trendy conveyor belt sushi restaurant. A bit pricey, but the quality of the fish is decent. The seared items were a bit disappointing. Had one beer and the total came to 5000 yen.

For years, there was a restaurant called Satosushi Han on the second floor of the building at the entrance of Hozanji Temple. It has now been replaced by this new restaurant. When I visited during lunchtime, there were more tourists from overseas than Japanese customers. There are still semi-private box tables reminiscent of the Satosushi Han era, and tourists are fascinated by the conveyor belt sushi lane. In addition to the counter seats, there are also some regular table seats. Is this a common feature of all Nagajiro restaurants? You can place orders using a touch panel. They also offer lunch set meals. Perhaps because of this, there isn't much sushi going around on the conveyor belt. The menu includes a variety of options like a 3-kind sushi assortment, where you can enjoy one type of sushi per plate. Prices seemed a bit higher compared to typical conveyor belt sushi restaurants, but the quality is definitely good. It might be a good option for families with young children. Bon appétit!

I visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch. We walked north from Namba Station and my companion muttered, "It's hot, how about we stop around here." We entered this place that caught our eye. In my mind, I thought, "Why here of all places? This restaurant is also near your house, right?" But it had been a while since we had been to Chojuro, and this was our first time at this particular location, so I let it go. The sign is prominently displayed outside, but the restaurant is actually on the second floor of the building. The tables by the conveyor belt were full, so we were guided to a spacious private room. It was a bit of a hassle to order everything through the touch panel, except for the initial drink and soup, but it couldn't be helped. We toasted with a fresh grapefruit sour. The dishes we ordered kept coming on a cart. The sushi was bigger and more substantial than 100 yen sushi, and the taste was good. However, some dishes made me think, "Is this taste worth the price?" Maybe I'm looking at it through the lens of "conveyor belt sushi," judging it as either delicious or expensive. Chojuro offers a wide variety of a la carte dishes. The tempura assortment was crispy and delicious. We couldn't resist ordering the shrimp fry roll. Before we knew it, with all the drinks and additional orders, we had spent over 10,000 yen for the three of us. It turned out to be a unexpectedly luxurious lunch.

We ended up going to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Hozonji Yokocho, as per my son's request. We sat at a table and ordered using an iPad. The sushi was decently tasty, but it was more expensive compared to the 100 yen conveyor belt sushi. Since my kids love tuna, we ordered a lot of Tekka Maki and tuna nigiri. We went right before last order, so some recommended items were sold out, which was disappointing.

Next to the Jizo statue in the Hozoji Yokocho in Namba, there is a CHOJIRO sushi restaurant. It is a conveyor belt sushi place, but a bit more upscale compared to Kappa Sushi or Kura Sushi. You sit at the counter with another person, watching the sushi go by. There is a touchpad for ordering. We debated whether to get drinks, but decided to stick with tea so we could enjoy more sushi. We ordered dishes like yellowtail, turban shell with butter soy sauce, and salmon. While waiting, we grabbed avocado rolls, salad, and shrimp mayo from the conveyor belt. The turban shell with butter soy sauce was surprisingly good. We added mackerel sushi and eel rolls. The eel rolls were a seafood futomaki with a variety of seafood rolled inside. We also tried bamboo shoot tempura, which was served hot with salt sprinkled on top. The crispy tempura was delicious. We also had dishes like crispy yam roll, crab miso, and more. The meal ended with wasabi stem rolls, which were quite spicy and made us tear up. The total bill came to around 3400 yen.

Recently opened, I believe it wasn't here before, but I decided to give it a try. It was around 9 pm and the place was almost full. I sat at the counter, but there were also many table seats available. A waiter quickly brought over the recommended menu. I ordered the tuna assortment and a beer. There weren't many sushi plates going around on the conveyor belt. They brought a touch panel for ordering. The beer and tuna assortment arrived. It included nigiri and negitoro, and the tuna was quite delicious. I also ordered 4 pieces of eel and salmon roe. Everything was tasty. Two beers and this sushi meal left me feeling satisfied. Overall, I think this conveyor belt sushi place is on the tastier side.

Hoshoji Yokocho, near Mizukake Fudo-san entrance. Maybe it's because of the increase in tourists. It's a rotating sushi restaurant...!! (」 ̄□)」Highball please~ It doesn't have a traditional Japanese sake atmosphere. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, as it just opened recently. It has a modern feel for a rotating sushi restaurant?! During the time I visited, there were hardly any customers, mostly employees. The service is very polite. The staff are new and give a good impression. However, even if there is a staff member in front of you, orders are mainly placed through a touch panel (tablet). But they will assist you if you talk directly to them. It feels a bit impersonal, but maybe that's the charm of a rotating sushi restaurant?! (laughs) I tried various items like medium fatty tuna nigiri, medium fatty tuna, seared medium fatty tuna, negitoro gunkan, and Daimyo tuna. First, I tried the medium fatty tuna nigiri. w(゚ロ゚;)w Wow, the rice is piled up!! Is this also a service?! The fish pieces are large, but I was surprised by the amount of rice (laughs). The vinegar flavor in the rice was a bit strong. The medium fatty tuna was delicious. I also tried gunkan and rolls, but I didn't feel the seaweed paired well with them. The sushi was more affordable as a set rather than individual pieces. There were also some appetizer-like items. In this area with many sushi restaurants, this place might be good for a casual sushi meal. Personally, if it's about rotating sushi, I prefer Genrokuzushi. Thank you for the mealヽ(^o^)丿 ------------------------------------------ Restaurant Name: CHOJIRO Hoshoji Branch Location: 2F, 1-2-10 Nanba, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture Business Hours: 11:00-15:00, 17:00-23:00 Closed: No regular holidays *Credit cards accepted https://tabelog.com/osaka/A2701/A270202/27096989/

I left the udon restaurant in Honmachi and was thinking of heading back, but instead, I walked two stations under the scorching sun to this conveyor belt sushi restaurant next to Hozanji. I knew it had opened recently, but I didn't know it was on the second floor. Taking the elevator to the second floor, I found myself inside the restaurant. It had a vibe that made it hard to turn back. I came alone and was seated at a table instead of the counter, probably because the counter was full. The customers seemed to be mostly tourists, both Japanese and foreigners. I ordered from the tablet at the table. I tried maguro for 280 yen, salmon for 280 yen, tsubugai for 194 yen, grilled conger eel for 280 yen, and crab miso for 194 yen. Of course, I could have eaten more, but I was just curious about the taste, so I stopped there. The sushi was tasty, but the rice was slightly lukewarm, which bothered me a bit. The prices felt a bit high, but maybe that's normal? The atmosphere inside, the level of service, it all felt somewhat mediocre. They had a lottery at the checkout, and I won the 7th prize, a rubber ball. I wonder what character this is on the ball? The total came to 1,228 yen. Payment could also be done on the tablet screen, which was convenient.
