I visited for lunch just before the ¥500-off coupon for AU expired... I had the vegetable stir-fry x1. The vegetable stir-fry and shrimp chili are the same price (^^;) Next time, I'll try the shrimp chili. I also had handmade pan-fried dumplings x6 x1.

Today's lunch was in Honmachi. It was my first visit to Chin-Hi-Ko, located right outside Honmachi Station. I ordered the recommended lunch menu item, the Tianjin rice set for 750 yen. It arrived in about 3 minutes. The set included Tianjin rice and a mini ramen. The Tianjin rice was generously topped with thick egg omelette wrapped around the rice. It was really delicious. The ramen had a soy sauce-based soup with seaweed, bean sprouts, and char siu on top, a simple and tasty old-fashioned ramen. It was a good lunch in a downtown Chinese-style setting. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch at 11:05. I had a ¥500 coupon for AU Pay, but it seems like the coupons are running out quickly. I need to use them before they expire. It's been a while since I visited the Shinsaibashi Center Building. The restaurant is located on the B2F of Building 9. There are many displays in front of the shop, giving off a local Chinese restaurant vibe. The staff at the restaurant were friendly. Today's special lunch was a Chinese rice bowl and mini ramen. I also ordered handmade pan-fried dumplings.

Menu: Cold noodle set meal for 850 yen
Since the end of the pandemic, many restaurants have been crowded, making it difficult to find a place for lunch. I rushed into Genpachi-ka at the basement of the Senba Center Building. The cold noodle set meal was prominently displayed, signaling that it's already the season for cold noodles. I tried the cold noodles, and they were refreshing and delicious. Personally, I would prefer a bit more acidity from lemon rather than vinegar. Thank you for the meal.

On a cold day, I wanted to have lunch near my workplace. I had some business at a nearby bank, so I decided to visit a restaurant I hadn't been to in 8 years. The clientele was mainly older men, just like before. I ordered the daily special set meal: Tianjin rice with a mini ramen for 700 yen. I knew that the service here was incredibly fast, so I didn't bother trying to read a book. Within a minute, the Tianjin rice arrived, followed by the mini ramen a minute later. The highly skilled chefs were still at the top of their game, which was great to see. The Tianjin rice was delicious, with a creamy Japanese-style omelette on top of the rice. It brought back nostalgic flavors and was really tasty. The ramen had a soy sauce base with chicken broth, offering a retro taste typical of Chinese restaurants. The noodles were soft, making it suitable even for those with weak teeth. Despite the pandemic, the prices hadn't increased significantly, which was impressive. This was definitely one of the reasons for its popularity. I paid quickly using PayPay. It was a delicious meal.

I'm in Osaka. This is Honmachi in Osaka. I found this restaurant on the 2nd basement floor of Building No. 9 of the Funabashi Center Building. I was looking for a lunch spot nearby where I work, so I headed to the Funabashi Center Building. It was just past 12 o'clock and there were already lines forming everywhere. I was unsure of what to eat, but my friend was in the mood for Chinese food, so we decided to go here. When we entered the restaurant, the tables were packed and even though it was my first time there, it felt oddly familiar. We sat down at our table and ordered the Chinese rice bowl and half ramen set. The half ramen arrived first after about 4-5 minutes. It was a light and traditional Chinese noodle soup, not bad but not particularly delicious either. The soup was a bit sweet. Then, about 3-4 minutes later, the Chinese rice bowl arrived. The sauce was also slightly sweet, and although it didn't bother me at first, it became a bit overwhelming as I continued eating. I think it's a matter of personal preference. I expected the portion to be larger given the location, so I was a bit disappointed by how small it was.

I passed by the restaurant and decided to stop by. It was hot outside, so I ordered a set of chilled noodles and mini fried rice for 800 yen. I ate the chilled noodles in the restaurant, and they were incredibly delicious, different from the ones at home. I might become obsessed with chilled noodles from now on. The fried rice was also tasty! The menu is extensive, so I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal!

I went to "Chinpah Ko" in Sakaisuji Hommachi. I had the Chinese-style pork cutlet bowl (700 yen including tax). The ingredients used are the same as a regular pork cutlet bowl, but it has a thickened sauce which seems to be the unique feature. It is seasoned with Chinese broth and tastes quite light. The cutlet is freshly fried, of course. It was my first time trying a Chinese-style pork cutlet bowl, but personally, I might prefer the regular pork cutlet bowl. Thank you for the meal.

This shop is located on the basement second floor of Honmachi subway station. I had been wanting to visit this shop for a while. This shop mainly serves Chinese set meals for lunch and turns into an izakaya at night. One of the popular items for lunch is the katsu-don made by a Chinese restaurant. I entered the shop and found it almost full, with only one seat available at the counter. The people around me were ordering various set meals like Tenshinhan and Champon. I decided to order the katsu-don set meal, which comes with a mini ramen. When the katsu-don arrived, it looked delicious. It had a Chinese-style sauce and fluffy egg similar to Tenshinhan, which made my mouth water. The taste was not too strong, with a balanced seasoning and a hint of saltiness. The katsu was thinly sliced and easy to eat, with a flavorful coating. The vegetables like crunchy green onions added to the overall deliciousness. The mini ramen had a unique flavor of chicken broth and spinach stems, which might be a matter of personal preference. I also noticed plates of udon noodles in the kitchen, so I would like to try that next time. It looked very appetizing.

There is a mutual follower on Tabelog and Instagram who loves Chinese-style katsudon! After seeing their delicious posts, I decided to visit Chako in Sakaisuji Hommachi for lunch during my work break. Chako is located at 3-3-9 Funabacho Chuo-ku, Osaka City, just a 3-minute walk from Hommachi Station on the Osaka Metro. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:00 PM. There are many samples displayed on both sides of the entrance. They offer daily specials as well as a variety of a la carte and set menu options (with mini ramen or half-fried rice). The interior has menus on the walls, so it's best to decide what to order before entering. After disinfecting my hands with the alcohol at the entrance, I asked for permission to take photos and sat at an available table. My husband ordered the Chinese-style katsudon set. After a short wait, the dish arrived. The aroma of the Chinese-style sauce was delightful! Let's dig in! First, I tried the ramen soup, which was simply delicious with carefully skimmed chicken bone soy sauce. The noodles were medium-thick and straight, and the toppings included bean sprouts, seaweed, green onions, and chashu, giving a nostalgic Showa-era vibe. The katsudon had a crispy texture with a delicious sauce coating. Despite its Chinese-style appearance, the seasoning was a Kansai-style dashi that added originality. The combination of the thick sauce and savory broth was unique and tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and left the restaurant after thanking the staff. It was a satisfying and delicious experience, and I look forward to visiting again! Today, I stayed nearby so I decided to come here. I wanted to eat Chinese-style katsudon! The name of the restaurant is quite unique so I didn't remember it, but as soon as I saw the kanji, I recalled it! The reason I wanted to eat this katsudon is because the katsudon at my high school cafeteria was served with a sauce on top. It was delicious and whenever I see a katsudon with sauce on top, I crave it. This katsudon also had a thin cutlet with plenty of vegetables in the sauce, topped with a gently cooked egg. Unlike katsudon with scrambled eggs, the sauce on this one had a crispy texture which was unique! I also tried a bit of their jajangmyeon, it was delicious too. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is located a 3-minute walk from Honmachi Station on the Midosuji Line and Chuo Line of the Osaka Metro, on the B2F of Funabashi Center Building No. 9. When I went there after seeing it on TV, I found out that they were closed for about a week until 2/20. Some people who saw this also decided to leave. However, I decided to come back another day and was able to enter the restaurant. It looks more like an izakaya than a Chinese restaurant from the outside, with a menu full of various dishes. I stayed true to my initial choice and ordered the Chinese-style pork cutlet bowl for 700 yen. They also offer a set with half a portion of ramen for 850 yen. The dish consisted of a thick pork cutlet on top of rice, covered with a sweet and savory egg sauce, chopped green onions, and onions. The taste was a bit sweet and spicy, and the soup and pickled seaweed on the side were a nice touch.

Downtown ◇ Chinese cuisine ◇ [3-cho, Chuo-ku, Funabashi Central] Chako, located on the north street of the basement 2nd floor of Funabashi Center Building No. 9, is open for lunch from 11:00. Each table has an ashtray, so it seems to be a smoking-friendly restaurant. There are 3-4 solo customers at the still newly opened restaurant, but no smokers. ◆ Chinese-style pork cutlet rice bowl (700 yen) The dish is served in 5 minutes while watching the wall-mounted TV. There is a generous amount of rice (based on an old man's standard) and the tender pork cutlet and egg are a perfect match. The thinly fried cutlet hidden under the egg is well blended with the egg and just the right thickness. I am satisfied as a solo diner. It comes with ramen soup and pickles. "Thank you for the meal." -------------------------------------------------- Yeah, I don't wanna get over I don't wanna get I don't wanna get over I don't wanna wake up from this feeling I don't wanna wake up from this intoxicating sensation... from this sweet dream... Visited for lunch. They started allowing mask-off dining today, but since I'm alone, it doesn't really matter. I wonder if it's okay to eat without a mask on. I chose the sweet and sour pork set meal for 850 yen. It arrived quickly. The set included rice, pickles, simmered eggplant, soup, and the classic sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork was delicious. Truly a long-established restaurant. It was exquisite without any off-flavors. The seaweed soup was not to my liking though. Maybe it's because it's a Chinese izakaya. I prefer a different kind of Chinese soup. At 850 yen, the value for money is a bit lacking, but the taste of the sweet and sour pork is great. I like it.

I decided on Chinese food for lunch. I came to the Shinsaibashi Center Building, which I haven't been to in a while. I visited this place for the first time, located in the basement of Building 9. The daily lunch special was ramen and Tianjin rice. It's my favorite combination and a great deal at 700 yen. The restaurant is quite spacious. On the TV, they were talking about a new product that can be stored at room temperature without needing a refrigerator, which is amazing. The Tianjin rice was served first, with plenty of sauce and colorful eggs. It also had carrots and shrimp as ingredients. The ramen, typical of a local Chinese restaurant, was light and tasty. Personally, I prefer ramen with clear soup.

In the basement of the Senba Center Building, there is a Chinese restaurant in the gourmet street. The competition is fierce in the gourmet street, but I was drawn to the Chinese menu. The kitchen is spacious and the sound of cooking is quite pleasant. I placed my order with a young woman and inside the kitchen, there were sharp-looking chefs. The atmosphere is nice. The food came quickly, was affordable, delicious, and the portion size was just right. I will definitely visit again.

Located directly connected to Honmachi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, in the basement 2nd floor of "Funebashi Center Building" No. 9, is a long-standing local Chinese restaurant. The storefront is filled with a large number of food samples and menus, almost overshadowing the name of the restaurant. The menu is incredibly diverse and the set meals are reasonably priced. I originally planned to try the "Chinese-style pork cutlet rice bowl" commonly seen in Osaka's local Chinese restaurants, but ended up changing my order to "cold noodles" after seeing it on the menu. In Osaka, "cold noodles" actually refers to "cold Chinese noodles". The dish was colorful and appetizing, with plenty of classic ingredients such as shredded omelette, ham, and cucumber. The tangy soup added a refreshing taste to the dish. This local Chinese restaurant is versatile and easy to enjoy.

On weekdays, I visited at 11:55 am and 80% full. The service lunch is ¥700. It's a fierce competition to attract customers for lunch in Osaka. I usually avoid being called out, but I decided to enter this place. I ordered the service lunch set which includes Tianjin rice bowl and mini ramen. The food was served in 3 minutes, very fast! The Tianjin rice bowl had plenty of soy sauce topping, and it was great as a side dish for drinks. The mini ramen, as expected, had slightly stretchy noodles, but it served well as a soup substitute. Next time, I will try the set meal. Thank you for the meal.

On the fourth day of the week dedicated to fully utilizing Benefit coupons, I decided to have a budget-friendly and cost-effective lunch to avoid burdening my empty wallet before payday. Over the past few days, I have enjoyed various discounted meals such as oyakodon for ¥70, half-priced omurice for ¥1,050, a beef hot pot set for ¥50 using an app coupon, and a ramen with a free seasoned egg for ¥110. Today's lunch was a one-coin coupon deal, but with tax included, it cost ¥550. In total, I saved ¥1,320 over the five days. While it may not be possible to continue this for four weeks to save ¥5,280 or for a year to save ¥68,640, every little bit helps. As for today's lunch, I used a one-coin coupon for a ¥500 meal which ended up costing ¥550 with tax. The mini ramen was like the type you'd find at a traditional Chinese restaurant, with transparent noodles. I prefer white thin noodles, but these were still enjoyable. The amber-colored sauce on the fried rice had a good consistency and flavor. Overall, the fried rice was delicious!
