On top of the rice, there were soy sauce-flavored bonito flakes, roasted seaweed, white fish fry, tempura chikuwa, kinpira, and pickled cherry blossoms. The soy sauce on the bonito flakes was spicy. The white fish fry was crispy on the outside but soggy inside. I thought the taste might be different depending on the branch at Hokka Hokka Tei, but it was the same. Well, that makes sense. At Platto Osaka Castle, the best spot for cherry blossom viewing without spending money is the south side of the moat area. The "Takenoko Gozen" with freshly cooked bento boxes, a selection of side dishes, and a special nori bento are highly recommended. The kitchen staff silently and diligently prepare the meals, which took about 20 minutes after ordering (on a weekday at 11 am). Walking about 8 minutes, you can enjoy the fully bloomed cherry blossoms while eating the warm bento. The tempura, simmered daikon radish, and bamboo shoot rice are delicious, and the option to choose 3 side dishes from 5 is convenient. Pairing the meal with beer makes it an enjoyable cherry blossom viewing experience. While convenience store bento boxes are good, nothing beats a freshly cooked bento like this one.

One lunchtime, I placed my first order with Demae-can. It was my third day of abstaining from alcohol. There was a 420 yen shipping promotion, so I checked the menu and saw they had dishes like Chinese rice bowls. I decided to go for it and ordered two meals: a New Year's Ebi-Ten Don for 950 yen and a Chinese rice bowl with extra rice for 980 yen. If I had bought them in the store, they would have been 590 yen and 600 yen, so there was quite a markup, but I decided to go for it since the prices were originally cheap. The New Year's Ebi-Ten Don arrived first. It had a nice variety of tempura - 5 types, 2 shrimp, imitation crab stick, fish cake, boiled egg, spring greens, and onions. The sweet sauce was also good, and I think it's a great deal for 590 yen in the store. The second meal was the Chinese rice bowl with extra rice. It seemed to be a winter limited edition item. It had a refined taste and was delicious. I opted for extra rice, but the portion was just average. The total for both dishes was 1,930 yen, with free shipping due to the promotion. With a 200 yen discount from the Demae-nyan coupon, the final bill was 1,730 yen.

Today, I worked in the morning and evening. I didn't feel very hungry, but I always get hungry during work. I wanted to eat out, but I didn't want to bother with finding a coin parking spot for my car (laughs). McDonald's crossed my mind, but I ended up choosing Hotto Motto. It's located on the north side of the Tanimachi Line and Honmachi Street. Even though I pass by it often, this was my first time buying from there. I bought the Chicken Nanban Bento for 560 yen. I ate it next to a Seven Eleven because I tend to get stomachaches easily. The visual of the Chicken Nanban includes lettuce, potato salad, and spaghetti hidden under the chicken. The taste was slightly sweet and tangy with tartar sauce, making the rice very enjoyable. I need to be careful with the rice portion next time, as it disappeared quickly. As expected, I got a stomachache, so I stopped by Seven Eleven again (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

I successfully recited the Shishiodoshi. The location is on the opposite side of the Osaka Prefectural Government Passport Center, across from the Yamanouchi Street. I bought it for dinner and chose the beef yakiniku bento. According to the official website, the salt content of the beef yakiniku bento is 2g, so it seems to be low in salt. The beef yakiniku bento from Hotto Motto comes with potato salad. The dressing on the lettuce seems to be a sweet Thousand Island dressing.
