Because of this heat, I suddenly felt a strong craving for vinegar rice and searched on Tabelog for a new restaurant to try. I found a place that seemed promising and decided to visit. When I arrived in the evening, there was only one other group of customers. Unfortunately, there were not many types of fish available today, which was a bit disappointing. I will definitely come back again!

I ordered the 9-piece sushi set with red miso soup for 1,300 yen and had 3 pieces (tuna, salmon, yellowtail). After eating, I must say that it was quite good for the price. The restaurant has a casual izakaya-like atmosphere and young staff, which may not feel like a traditional sushi restaurant, but I think it's a good thing.

The sushi restaurant used to specialize in seafood rice bowls, but this time when I came, they no longer have tuna or sea urchin rice bowls. Apparently, the owner also runs a separate company and they changed all the menu items. The only good thing was that the hormone tempura was delicious. They tried to imitate a Hiroshima B-class gourmet dish by removing the original smell of the hormone and seasoning it, so it was tasty. However, it's disappointing to come to a sushi restaurant and not be able to eat much fish. I wonder how this restaurant will do in the future with only one staff member, the manager, working hard.

The other day at Sakai Uoichiba sushi restaurant (^。^), even though it was dinner time, there were no customers and I had a bad feeling. The menu was very limited and they didn't even have any soup. A sushi restaurant without soup is unacceptable. And to top it off, they only served 2 pieces per order \(//∇//)\. The prices were quite high for only 5 items \(//∇//)\. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

Late at night after finishing work, I went out with my colleagues to have some sushi. We ordered a variety of nigiri sushi, which looked amazing lined up on the plate. I particularly enjoyed the seared squid and seared scallop, as the smoky aroma added a delicious touch. Since I was the designated driver, I couldn't drink alcohol this time, but I'm looking forward to going back and enjoying some sake with my sushi next time!

I went to Sakai Uoichiba Sushi, but even though it was past 7 p.m. on a Sunday, it was still closed. So, I went to this nearby place instead. The 1900 yen omakase sushi set was quite luxurious as shown in the picture. I was happier with the one piece of akami than the two pieces of toro... haha. Although I had a little room left in my stomach, I went home feeling satisfied at 80% full.

I used to come to this area a lot when I was younger. I thought about it and decided to come back after a long time. There used to be a tempura shop and a popular sushi restaurant here, but... hmm? The location is the same, but I don't remember there being these kinds of shops... Still, it says sushi, so I went in without thinking. The entrance looks the same, but it turned out to be a completely different restaurant. It looks like a sushi restaurant, but it has more of an izakaya feel to it. I had to order a variety of dishes, including sushi. Next to me, people were drinking and eating a lot of izakaya dishes. The food was okay, but the sushi portion was much smaller than I expected. I took a taxi all the way here and only stayed for 30 minutes. Lesson learned: "If it's been a while, do some research before going!!"

I wanted to eat tempura so I went to the Sakai Fish Market, but the store I was aiming for was unexpectedly closed. I ended up visiting this shop instead. A friendly lady welcomed me. When I looked at the menu, I saw they also had tempura! However, the tempura sushi only had 7 ingredients: squid, fish cake, pickled ginger, shiso leaf with mentaiko, salmon, sea bream, and eel. I wanted to eat vegetable tempura... The tempura batter could have been crispier. The eel tempura was delicious. The steamed clam in sake was very salty. Despite the good service from the lady, the food was disappointing. I decided to leave after just 3 dishes! Thank you for the meal.

Late at night, when someone asks, "What should we eat?" and suggests sushi, I usually hesitate and say, "Hmm..." It's hard to find a good sushi restaurant open late at night, unlike izakayas or yakiniku places. However, I found a solution to this dilemma at Uogashi Sushi. Located in a market, you can trust the taste of their sushi even late at night. Their set menus offer great quality and quantity at a good price, and the straightforward billing is wallet-friendly. Next time I crave delicious sushi late at night, I will definitely revisit Uogashi Sushi. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

The shop at the fish market has a cozy izakaya-like atmosphere. It's very comfortable. I tried the Freezing Highball. The draft beer is only 350 yen, which is very cheap. The abalone tempura, which is usually 800 yen, was half price at 400 yen! It was delicious. I had the fatty tuna, yellowtail, and red sea urchin sashimi. Everything was delicious, but especially the yellowtail was incredibly fresh.

Sakai Fish Market near Sakai Station on the Nankai Main Line has many shops that are open late at night. Originally for fishermen, the shops have this kind of operating hours. This particular shop is also a sushi restaurant, but its hours of operation from 6pm to 3am are unusual for a regular restaurant. On this day, the shop had just opened and there was only one group of customers. The spacious interior has counter seats, tatami rooms, and table seats, accommodating many customers. The menu is clear and straightforward, making it a convenient place for those looking to have sushi late at night.
[Assorted Nigiri Set (1800 yen)] This set offers good value for money with 9 pieces of nigiri, including scallop, sea urchin, salmon roe, crab, fatty tuna, flounder, eel, egg, and shrimp. All the ingredients are fresh and generously sized, as they are delivered directly from the market. The set also comes with red miso soup.
[Assorted Tempura (1000 yen)] While sushi alone is satisfying, we decided to also try the tempura. This set includes 8 pieces of freshly fried tempura with a crispy coating. With its good value and late-night hours, this is a place worth remembering. Thank you for the meal.

Today, since the nearby tempura restaurant was closed, I decided to come here for the first time. Sushi (2 pieces) starts from 200 yen, and they also offer tempura, various side dishes, and seafood bowls. The sushi had thick slices of fish which was good. The soy sauce was average, but the wasabi was not very tasty. I recommend the tuna for sushi. There was plenty of crab miso on top. The tempura here had a crispy batter that I thought was better than the tempura from the popular tempura stalls at the fish market. However, the tempura dipping sauce at those stalls was much tastier. The tempura had a generous amount of yam. Personally, I really enjoyed the tempura chikuwa. Lastly, I had a tuna bowl which came with red miso soup for only 1000 yen, a great deal. The tuna was really delicious. If you ever crave seafood or sushi at night, this is the place to go.

One holiday evening, I had to go drinking in the southern part of Osaka. The chosen location was around Sakai Station on the seaside of the Nankai Main Line. As a food blogger, it was my job to select the restaurants. However, since I live along the Semboku High-Speed Railway line, I rarely go to the Nankai Main Line area. Therefore, I had no idea where to go for a drinking establishment. I decided to head towards Sakai Fish Market, a place I knew in the area. Unfortunately, the restaurants inside the fish market were not open in the evening. After wandering around for an hour, I found a place with a lively atmosphere and typical Osaka-style decorations. The menu offered a variety of dishes, and I opted for a sushi platter. The menu also included recommendations such as grilled saury, sea urchin tempura, and spicy pickled radish. The restaurant had a large counter and a raised tatami seating area. The experience was fun and enjoyable, with a lively atmosphere and delicious food options.
