Located just a 1-minute walk from the Subway Tanimachi Yonchome Station, this hotel is in a prime location. Today's destination is Osaka, Tanimachi Yonchome. It's breakfast buffet time at Hotel Sun White. For those on a business trip, starting the day with the hotel's breakfast is a must. After a night of heavy drinking the day before, I needed something to lift my spirits in the morning, so I headed to the breakfast venue. The breakfast buffet is on the 2nd floor of the hotel. I arrived around 8:30, so it was relatively quiet. I grabbed a tray, typical of hotel breakfast buffets, and started browsing the food options. Just a few minutes ago, I thought I couldn't eat anything due to my hangover, but when I saw the food, my inner foodie came alive. Amidst the predominantly Chinese menu, I looked for local specialties and chose the following: Yakisoba, Shumai, Spring rolls, Karaage, Grilled mackerel, Simmered dish, Kinpira, Tamagoyaki & scrambled eggs, salad, and takoyaki. I was happy to find takoyaki, a local specialty. Looking back at the photos, I noticed that there were a lot of brown items and carbohydrates. This is not your typical hangover breakfast! To balance it out, I went light on the rice and heavy on the miso soup. Everything was delicious! I started with the salad to get some fiber in my stomach before indulging in the carbs. Each side dish paired well with the white rice, and with light portions, the rice disappeared quickly. The customizable miso soup was a favorite of mine. I added some fried tofu and let it soak up the soup, making it fluffy and delicious. After finishing everything, I ended with the takoyaki. It wasn't piping hot since it was pre-made, but the crispy exterior made up for it. I had eaten so much, so I made a promise to work hard today! With that in mind, I left the breakfast venue.
