I went to the restaurant "Helkatsu Mania @ Butagyo" where you can eat extremely tender white helkatsu. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, with many female staff members making it easy for women to visit alone. The helkatsu is cooked on low heat, so it takes a little time to be served. The slightly pink color of the meat is appetizing, and you can enjoy it with salt, soy sauce, or sauce. I tried it with salt first and felt the deliciousness and sweetness of the meat. It was surprisingly tender and tasty, but I think I still prefer it with sauce. With the option to change the flavor, I could enjoy it until the end without getting bored. Visited for lunch on a holiday. No wait. Seated at a table. I wanted to try both the sirloin and fillet, so I ordered the "Pork Gyotei Set" (2000 yen). It would be nice if they offered a smaller portion at a lower price. The portion seems quite large. The fillet was tastier than the sirloin. Personally, I would have preferred it to be a bit more rare. They call themselves "Fillet Cutlet Mania," so it would be nice if there were more fillet options. It was delicious. I visited for lunch. I was seated at a table. The menu was quite limited. It took quite a long time for the food to come after ordering. The premium pork cutlet set meal was 1500 yen. The tender pork cutlet with soy sauce and wasabi was delicious. It was soft enough to be bitten with teeth, and each piece had a satisfying texture. It was juicy and easy to eat without being too heavy. However, the rice was sticky and clumped together, which was disappointing. I hope they consider changing the way they cook the rice. I ordered the "Premium Pork Cutlet Set Meal 160g". The portion size is quite generous, 120g might be enough. It comes with salt, soy sauce, and sauce for dipping, but personally, I think the sauce goes best with it. The quality of the meat is top-notch, tender and easy to eat. It's no wonder it's recommended by the "Mania" with such attention to detail.

On Saturday at 2:30 PM, I went to "Helkatsu Mania @ Tonkogyo" in Nakazakicho. I ordered the "Premium Helkatsu Set (120g) (1,500 yen)". It arrived in 10 minutes. First, I tried a bite with salt. Delicious. It was surprisingly tender, with the fibers melting in my mouth. The breadcrumbs were probably made from fresh bread. The pork, cooked at a low temperature, was slowly cooked through, with a slightly pink center, allowing the meat's flavor and sweetness to shine. Next, I tried a bite with wasabi soy sauce. Delicious. The spicy wasabi had a strong impact. Lastly, I tried a bite with sauce. Delicious. The sauce had a balanced mix of spiciness and sweetness. According to the menu, they use SPF pork (safe pork free from specific pathogens) sourced from various regions in Japan, cooked slowly at a low temperature. For some reason, dessert was three-colored dango. The miso soup was excellent with red miso. I think this tonkatsu restaurant offers high quality at a reasonable price. Thank you for the meal.

First visit. The premium Hamburger Steak set 200g for 2,100 yen was the right choice. It was tender and flavorful, possibly made with the recent trend of low-temperature frying. The batter was white. Considering the price and location, it seems like a place I would visit often. The fact that Hamburger Steak is the main choice makes it even better.

I visited this restaurant on Saturday afternoon. It is a highly rated place, but there were very few customers at this time and location, which made me a bit uneasy when I entered. I visited the restaurant alone at 11:55 on a regular day. I was seated at the counter immediately and ordered the Tonkatsu set meal (2000 yen). The set meal includes 80g of tenderloin cutlet and 120g of loin cutlet, using the SPF brand. There are salt, soy sauce, sauce, and dressing placed on the counter. The sign outside the restaurant says, "White tenderloin cutlet that overturns the common sense of tonkatsu," which got me excited. The food arrived in about 15 minutes. I was served with three small dishes of salt, wasabi + soy sauce, and mustard + sauce, and was recommended to start with salt. Surprisingly, the cutlet is not really white... maybe they meant the meat part, not the breading. The tenderloin has a decent thickness, while the loin is not as thick. For some reason, there are three colored dumplings served as dessert. The taste is better for the tenderloin, which is also the namesake of the restaurant, than the loin. Thank you for the meal.

Located a 7-minute walk from Hankyu Umeda, "Herekatsu Mania" is a must-visit for tonkatsu lovers. I ordered the Herekatsu set meal with 120g of pork loin, and added the Negi Shio (green onion salt) sauce. Although it costs an additional 50 yen, I highly recommend it as it is incredibly delicious. The tonkatsu is very tender and my favorite way to enjoy it is with salt. However, the wasabi soy sauce is also tempting. The miso soup is full of ingredients and the pickles are tasty too. I was delighted by the small dessert of three-colored dango.

I happened to finish work nearby and it was lunchtime, so I decided to visit. The food was delicious, but my expectations were high, so I found it to be just average and the value for money wasn't great. The curry was just spicy, and maybe expecting too much curry flavor from a tonkatsu restaurant wasn't a good idea.

I went to Harekatsu Mania Buta Gyo-san. Since I came all the way here, I ordered the 200-gram Harekatsu set. The fillet cutlet was cooked rare and so tender, it was amazing. I enjoyed it with rock salt, wasabi soy sauce, and sauce. The set also came with cabbage, miso soup, pickles, and dango. It was a wonderful lunch. Thank you very much.

The location is in Osaka Nakazakicho, close to Nakazakicho Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, not too far from Osaka Umeda area. I arrived just after noon. As I entered, I noticed a signboard with the slogan "This is extremely tender" and another one saying "Defying common sense! White tonkatsu." These caught my attention and raised my expectations. The interior was calm and cozy, with a mix of male and female customers of various ages. I opted for the "Hirekatsu set meal" with 120g meat and upgraded to a large rice portion for an additional 50 yen, totaling 1,550 yen. The dish took about 15 minutes to arrive, and when it did, I was impressed by the generous portion of the "Hirekatsu." The pinkish hue and juiciness of the meat were striking, a result of the low-temperature cooking method. I enjoyed the tender and flavorful meat with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of salt. The condiments included salt, soy sauce with wasabi, and sauce with Japanese mustard. The miso soup was delicious, the rice was glossy and plentiful, and a cute dessert of three-colored dumplings was a nice touch. Despite the 120g portion, the meal was satisfying, and I left the shop feeling very pleased. There was a small line forming as I left, which was not surprising given the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for both young and older customers.

I happened to stop by after an event and didn't have high expectations of finding a delicious restaurant in Umeda. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. I ordered the 160g Hirekatsu set meal for 1800 yen, with an extra 50 yen for a large serving of rice. The atmosphere in the restaurant was calm with soothing background music playing. After a short wait, the Hirekatsu set meal arrived. The meat was incredibly tender, almost melting in my mouth. I tried the first bite without any condiments, savoring the natural flavor of the meat. For the next few bites, I tried it with salt, soy sauce and wasabi, and sauce with mustard. Towards the end, I asked the staff for some spicy salt and yuzu pepper to try with the remaining pieces. Just from the appearance, I thought this Helukatsu must be delicious! So, I decided to try it out! Menu: Helukatsu set meal 160g for 1800 yen This time, I chose the 160g option! It had 8 pieces and looked very appetizing! The color alone was so delicious-looking! It was incredibly tender and absolutely delicious! Just a heads up, they only accept cash, so be mindful of that!

I visited "Herekatsu Mania @ Butagyo" located next to "Higashi Umeda Yachiyo Building" in Boatpia Umeda. The owner of the restaurant is Hirobo, the older brother of TKO Kinoshita. I ordered the "Special Pork Cutlet Set Meal" for 1,300 yen, which came with pickles, three-colored dumplings for dessert, miso soup, and rice. I also got a complimentary curry roux, which is usually priced at 300 yen. I heard about this offer on the radio show "TKO Kinoshita Brothers' Morning Fried Chicken Chao!" and tried it out, getting the curry roux for free. The pork cutlet was made from pork from Chiba prefecture and was cooked to a light pink color due to low-temperature cooking. I enjoyed it with three different condiments: rock salt, wasabi soy sauce, and spicy miso tonkatsu sauce. The sweetness of the meat was enhanced by the rock salt, while the wasabi soy sauce added a Japanese touch. The spicy miso tonkatsu sauce provided a nice kick. It was a delicious meal.

It seems like a shop run by the older brother of the comedian duo "TKO." Since I can't choose the brand, the menu is simple: - Pork Cutlet Set Meal 120g for 1500 yen, made with Kagoshima-grown Kurobuta pork - Premium Pork Loin Cutlet Set Meal 120g for 1300 yen, made with Chiba-grown SPF pork. The interior of the shop has a mirror at the back to make it look spacious. Although they said it would take about 10 minutes for low-temperature cooking, I didn't have to wait that long. I preferred the tender and moist fillet over the loin. I tried the sauce, wasabi soy sauce, mustard, and salt, but the sauce was the best match. The rice portion was quite generous, and the yuzu daikon pickles were delicious, making the rice go down easily. The only downside was the cheap-looking container for the miso soup.

I ordered extra grated daikon and the rice was a large serving. The batter is white. The cutlet is more red than pink. First, I tried it with salt. You can really taste the pork. Next, I tried it with wasabi soy sauce. This was not so good. Then I tried it with sauce. Tonkatsu is definitely best with sauce. The rice is delicious. The large serving was just right. I didn't have high expectations for the large serving, but the amount was beyond my imagination and I am satisfied. I also ordered extra grated daikon, but the acidity of the ponzu was quite strong and personally I didn't like it. Personally, I prefer loin cutlets. This time I had Hirekatsu, but I think I prefer the ones cooked through normally. It's not bad, but I wasn't very impressed with the rare Hirekatsu. The special loin cutlet set meal is slightly cheaper than the Hirekatsu, so next time I would like to try that. Thank you for the meal.
