It's starting to cool down quite a bit, but it's still hot during the day. The Rugby World Cup is in its second week and there's a match between England, one of the top contenders. It's really exciting. So, what's everyone's favorite ice cream? Mine is "Gari Gari Kun". It's cheap and delicious. My favorite flavor is "Nashi" (pear). It's so good, with the flavor of pear spreading throughout your mouth. It's the best. I often go to the pachinko parlor during the day, and one place I like to eat at is "Genroku Sushi". My favorite dish there is the "Kani Salad". It's not real crab, but it's really tasty. I always order at least two plates. After a quick meal, it's off to the pachinko parlor. Enjoy your meal!

It was really delicious. I thought they opened at 10:45 on Saturdays, but they actually open at 10:30. When I arrived after 10:45, it was already full, but I just managed to get a seat. The whitefish sushi that they always had in the past is no longer available, they said it will be back in July.

I was able to eat the grilled cod milt sushi that they serve from 11:30 am on Saturdays. They had two different colored plates, and the eel and shad roe were served on nice plates. I wonder if they had this last time as well. I hope they go back to charging 100 yen per plate. The plates were rotating, and I kept eating only the ones at the end.

Located in Namba, Osaka, Genrokuzushi is the originator of conveyor belt sushi. It had been a while since my last visit. With the easing of the pandemic, there were many foreign visitors. I ordered various items, but unfortunately, I forgot to take photos. I apologize. The most delicious dish was the shrimp sushi, priced at only 170 yen per plate. The quality at this price point is excellent. I also recommend the miso soup with clams, which has a rich broth. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived 10 minutes early thinking it was open from 10:30, but it actually opens at 11 on weekdays. I went to the nearby Kura Sushi and saw the sign was lit up, so I took the elevator to the 4th floor and tried to go in to find out they open at 11.

I visited this restaurant for the first time for dinner. It is a local chain in Osaka that developed conveyor belt sushi, with its main store located in Fuse, Higashi Osaka. In the 1970s, there were around 200 stores, but now there are about 10 stores, I think? Anyway, not really important. I ordered sea bream, horse mackerel, yellowtail, and red clam miso soup, and the bill came to about 900 yen. I'm not sure if it's due to the current situation or the location, but it's not 135 yen per plate here. Still, it's reasonably priced and the taste is decent, but I still prefer the Sakai Higashi store. Thank you for the meal.

For dinner, I decided to have some sushi here. I sat at the counter and casually picked out some sushi. With prices starting at 143 yen, it's affordable and you can eat without any worries. They offer a variety of sushi, including shrimp and red clam. While the selection is similar to a typical conveyor belt sushi restaurant, they also have unique options like whale skin and pufferfish. The whale skin sushi has a bacon-like flavor and is quite delicious. They also have some indulgent options like crab stick with mayo, which is also tasty. The lively atmosphere of the restaurant reminds me of the old-school conveyor belt sushi places, like the one I used to visit in Ochanomizu about 40 years ago.

It's Saturday, a day off for me \(//∇//\) I miss the busy season... I'm xxxku, feeling bored during the slow period _:(´ཀ`」 ∠): I was lounging at home, feeling lazy, until after 2 PM \(//∇//\) I took a shower and decided to head to Nihonbashi. I wasn't sure what to eat, so I went to a place I've visited a few times before but never reviewed... Edo Sushi Sen-nichimae store. It's said to be the birthplace of conveyor belt sushi, with prices starting from 143 yen (・∀・) First, I ordered a bottled beer... even though I'm not tired, cheers \(//∇//\) The sushi I ordered: - Shrimp Avocado - Tuna - Yellowtail - Squid - Shrimp Mayo - Kinka Saba Shrimp Avocado: The avocado was from a tube... not worth 143 yen. Tuna: The freshness was so-so. Yellowtail: The rice was falling apart... I prefer it to be firm. Squid: I'm not sure what kind of squid it was, but it was chewy and tasty \(//∇//\) Shrimp Mayo: It was tasty with mayonnaise (laughs) Kinka Saba: The vinegar was too strong and not very good. I had a total of 12 pieces of 6 different types of sushi and now I'm stuffed \(//∇//\) I used to be able to eat around 20 plates easily, but approaching 50 years old... it feels a bit lonely, xxxku signing off \(//∇//\) Thanks for the meal.

I have been using this restaurant since I was around 20 years old, now it's been 26 years. I have seen many different staff members over the years, but recently there are more foreigners working here. I can't help but think they are carefree. It's a shame that there are fewer staff members who show consideration. Also, I am very disappointed to see an increase in people who make sloppy sushi rolls. I still prefer when sushi is hand-rolled without relying on machines, so I hope they can roll them carefully. It's very disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

Visit date: September 5th (Monday) 21:45-22:00. Despite indulging in food and drinks all over the place, I vowed to have a true finale this time and came to this restaurant. I sat at the counter and enjoyed natto, umeshiso, tekka, and white fish. The highlight of the day was the delicious whale skin. The subtle richness spread throughout my mouth... Udon and soba are good, but I also enjoyed sushi as the finale!

"I want to eat sushi~" So, here we go. The sushi plates rotating around the restaurant come with either a cover or in a transparent cup. Wasabi and hot towels are also available on the upper lane. The pickled ginger is in a wooden box on the table for you to take as much as you want with tongs. The service is quick, polite, and friendly. Even individual orders are served promptly. "Bring me a beer~" It's still morning, but why not drink, right? The sushi, sardine, horse mackerel, horse mackerel, and raw shrimp were all delicious. The sardines were shiny and thick, with a good volume. Each piece is well-prepared, making them enjoyable. It's been a while, but the quality of the ingredients is consistent. I wanted to try other dishes too, but... having a few plates of sushi and then leaving quickly makes this place just right. Thank you for the meal.

If you happen to be in Namba, there are plenty of shops you'd want to visit, but unexpected situations like changes in business hours, temporary closures, or early closure for lunch can happen. In times like these, a reliable ally is revolving sushi! I visited Genrokuzushi, where you can fill your hunger with delicious sushi anytime thanks to their all-day service. The Chitose store is not the only one I've been to; I feel like I've been taken care of at the Higashi Osaka (Fusae), Umeda (Higashi Street), Noda Hankyu, and Amagasaki locations as well. The reason why I keep coming back to Genrokuzushi is their "Toro Tuna Cheek," which I absolutely love. It's like eating a tender part of meat like harami with a sweet and savory yakiniku sauce. It's a guilty pleasure to eat so much meat, but this Toro Tuna Cheek is something special that I can only enjoy at Genrokuzushi. Another favorite of mine is the Torosamon, which has a unique texture and addictive deliciousness. The salmon melts in your mouth and the sweetness spreads with each bite. Despite changes in handling, the deliciousness remains the same. Genrokuzushi, the pioneer of conveyor belt sushi, continues to provide consistently delicious sushi with their traditional hand-rolled style. Whether you get a perfect piece or one that's a bit off, the experience is always enjoyable. It's a wonderful place where you can enjoy delicious sushi to your heart's content. I support them and hope they continue to thrive despite the challenges of COVID-19. Thank you for the meal!

I have been to other Genrokuzushi restaurants before, but this was my first time at the Genrokuzushi Sen'nichimae location. The items I tried were: Live Tai, Tsubugai, Iwashi, Indian Bluefin Tuna Toro, Chawanmushi, Kinusaba, Ebi, Shira-yaki Unagi, Toro Tekka, and Tamagoyaki. The Iwashi and Kinusaba were delicious. This is a cost-effective conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

As I was walking to Kura Sushi, I stumbled upon Genroku Sushi. I saw the chefs wearing plastic gloves, so I assumed they had good hygiene practices. I picked up some items at Marui before entering this restaurant. The prices were reasonable, and although the sushi was a bit thin, it tasted decent. The staff seemed to be working hard. It was unusual to see tori-gai (cockle) on the menu. Note that they only accept cash and do not take credit cards.

It has been a long time since I last visited this Edo period sushi restaurant. I know it was renovated quite some time ago, but this is my first visit since then. The interior is still small, with only counter seats. There are four sushi chefs behind the counter, skillfully making sushi at a fast pace. The rotation of sushi varies depending on the time you visit, so sometimes the exact type of sushi you want may not come around. In that case, you can directly order from the staff, who are very prompt. The rice was a bit firm, but the tuna was delicious. It's convenient for when you're short on time and want something quick to eat. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I felt like eating crab salad, so I went to Genroku Sushi! It's located across from Lawson in the middle of the Sennichimae Shopping Street! It was nice to have some extra space at the usually cramped seating area due to social distancing measures! I love eating crab salad gunkan-maki with sweet sauce on top! Give it a try sometime!

I decided to go out for lunch after a long time. I visited around 1:30 pm on a holiday. Luckily, there was one seat available and as soon as I sat down, the place became full. What perfect timing to enter. Here are the dishes I had this time, excluding tax: bonito sashimi for 135 yen, sardine for 135 yen, Bungo buri for 135 yen, horse mackerel for 135 yen, live sea bream for 200 yen, salmon roe gunkan for 200 yen, and a bottle of Super Dry beer for 510 yen. Sardines are a must-have. They are fatty and delicious. Even though I could have easily had about 10 plates of these, I have to consider appearances. The salmon roe gunkan was modest but the overflowing salmon roe and ikura made it worth it. Isn't this a good deal? I was planning to eat quickly and leave, but the customer next to me finished 5 plates in just over 5 minutes and left. That's the ultimate quick eating. Let's take a little more time to enjoy the meal. The energetic and polite service from the staff was great. Thanks for the meal.

"Kurukuru~ spinning~ Genroku Sushi~" Genroku Sushi, which started in Fussa, this time I visited the Sennichimae store! The customer service here is outstanding, full of energy and very polite, with a lot of heart put into it~ (*^-^*) Among the unique menu items such as whale, shirako, and sea bream skin, what we tried were... - Chawanmushi for 180 yen (excluding tax)♪ This is a must-try! Also, all priced at 125 yen (excluding tax)... - Ebi Mayo Yaki♪ - Dashimaki♪ - Salad Maki♪ - Maki Sushi♪ We also got 2 plates of makimono, so we were full~ (*^-^*)

I decided to visit this shop in the Senba-machi shopping street for lunch. It's always crowded, but this time I was lucky to find a few empty seats. It quickly filled up after I arrived. The turnover was fast, with seats filling up and emptying again in a loop. Here's what I had this time:
- Bottle of beer for 510 yen
- Overflowing salmon toro gunkan for 200 yen
- Sardine for 125 yen
- Shrimp for 125 yen
- Tuna tataki gunkan for 125 yen
My strategy this time was to go with the flow. What kind of strategy is that? Just as it sounds, the strategy is to only eat the sushi that flows by on the conveyor belt. I impulsively grabbed the overflowing salmon toro gunkan, and it was a hit. It was filled with plenty of salmon toro chunks, and the richness paired perfectly with the beer. I love sardines, so I couldn't miss out on that. The sardines at Genroku Sushi are big, oily, and a must-eat. I could eat plate after plate of them. Maybe I'll write a review just for sardines one day. I might come back for a quick sushi and drink session. Thanks for the meal.

When choosing local conveyor belt sushi for meals during a trip, it may be when you are traveling to places like Hokkaido, Hokuriku, or Sanriku, known for their seafood. It could also be when you want to prioritize time, or when there is an additional plus factor. The reason I visited this place during my trip to Osaka was not only for time-saving but also because there was another plus factor. "Meguruyen Genroku Sushi" is said to be the originator of conveyor belt sushi. It was invented in 1958 after observing a beer factory conveyor belt. The Sen-nichimae store is always bustling. One thing that was a little different about the sushi here was the presence of Osaka-style pressed sushi rotating on the belt. While you may occasionally find battera sushi in the Kanto region, seeing pressed sushi with shrimp and conger eel like this is unique to Osaka. They also have futomaki (thick sushi rolls) with koyadofu (freeze-dried tofu) and even "whale skin" on the menu, which is quite rare. It was a feast of Osaka sushi at the original restaurant.
