It's the season for delicious fish. I can't resist wanting to eat fish, and I recently had a fantastic seafood bowl at a dining hall inside the Yanagibashi Rengou Market. After that, I found another seafood restaurant within the same market. I want to try their seafood bowl as well, but I was too full that day. The location is Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. The market is like a kitchen for Fukuoka residents, with various shops inside. It's fun to look around. However, the parking fees in this area are high, so it's not easy to visit casually. Still, I know a cheaper parking lot in a slightly distant location, so I can go there. When I arrived around 11 am on a weekday, the small restaurant was empty. I sat at a cheap table seat and ordered the seafood bowl with grated mountain yam for 1100 yen including tax. The amount of rice was not asked. The bowl had white rice topped with grated yam, but no shiso leaves were visible. It included seared horse mackerel, salmon, sea bream, marlin, yellowtail, and fatty tuna. The fatty tuna and ark shell were served as one piece each, with chopped seaweed on top of the sashimi. The thickness of the sashimi was pleasing, and it was served with a special sesame sauce that was slightly sweet. I added soy sauce and enjoyed the freshness of the fish, which was freshly prepared by a fish store. Eating the marlin with sesame sauce surprisingly tasted delicious. I ended with the fatty tuna and ark shell. I was a bit surprised by the pickled conger eel in the side dish, which was a rare dish. Another side dish included pickled cucumbers, bean sprouts, and carrots. Up to this point, the dishes were perfect. I tried the clear soup, but it tasted like it had artificial seasoning, so I stopped drinking it. It might have been just my imagination, so please don't mind it. Overall, I enjoyed the seafood bowl, which allowed me to taste the freshness of the fish purchased that morning at the Nagahama Market.
