【Dining Out Diary】September 6, 2023 (Lunch) #Kinshokaku 06-6941-2185 Osaka Castle Hotel 3F, 1-1 Tenma Hashi Kyomachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka I came here after 3 months. The food was consistently delicious as always. It's a reliable choice for a satisfying meal. The menu hasn't changed at all, but that's part of its charm. It was a nice visit to this classic Chinese restaurant. I'll have to burn off these calories tomorrow at the gym. #Foodie #Lunch #TenmaHashi #CastleHotel #ChineseCuisine #Chinatown #Gourmet

I feel nervous taking the elevator up to the quiet Osaka Castle Hotel on the 3rd floor, but when I saw the lunch special for 1,100 yen, I decided to give it a try. The entrance was impressive with spacious private rooms, and the back floor had tables overlooking the river. The staff was polite and kind. The Kinko set with sweet and sour pork, small shrimp tempura, and mapo tofu was generously portioned. The mapo tofu had a slightly sweet taste with a hint of hoisin sauce, and the cabbage and tomato mayo salad had a traditional Chinese flavor. The pork and onion stir-fry was also tasty. My companion enjoyed the ladies' set with spring rolls and egg rolls. The lunch included self-service regular coffee, almond cookies, fluffy sweet potatoes, and almond jelly. The almond jelly lacked fragrance, but everything else was delicious. The tablecloth felt cheap, but the view from the hotel lounge was nice. It's a good place for gatherings with people.

[Restaurant Diary] June 19, 2023 (Lunch) #Kinshokaku 06-6941-2185 Osaka Castle Hotel 3F, 1-1 Tenmacho, Temmabashi, Osaka City, Chuo-ku, Osaka https://tabelog.com/osaka/A2701/A270104/27014863/ For some reason, many restaurants were unexpectedly closed today, so I ended up coming here after a two-month hiatus. The lunch set that used to be 990 yen until April is now 1,100 yen. Once it crosses the 1,000 yen mark, I can't help but hesitate a bit haha. After not having it for a while, the food was still delicious and left me feeling full and satisfied. Despite not having many vegetables, which goes against my diabetes prevention program, it's okay to indulge once in a while haha. #Want to connect with foodies #Foodie #Lunch #Tenmabashi #TenmabashiFood #TenmabashiLunch #CastleHotel #OsakaCastleHotel #Chinese #ChineseFood #ChineseRestaurant #ChineseLunch #LocalChineseRestaurant #gm

Located on the third floor of the Osaka Castle Hotel above Temmabashi Station on the Osaka subway and Keihan Line, "Kinchokaku" is a Chinese restaurant where you can enjoy a reasonably priced lunch. The lunch sets are quite generous in portion size, and they come with a self-service corner offering desserts, soups, and drinks all you can eat. Additionally, you can have unlimited rice refills. The lunch sets cost around 1,000 yen, which is quite a steal. The restaurant has a spacious interior that used to be a banquet hall, and when visited on a holiday for lunch, it was not too crowded. The reviewer ordered the Kinchokaku set meal, which included Mapo Tofu, Shredded Pork with Green Peppers, Sweet and Sour Pork, Small Shrimp Tempura, Salad, and pickled vegetables, all for 990 yen. They also tried the Ladies' set meal, which included Egg in Ketchup Stir-Fry, Spring Rolls, Stir-Fried Small Shrimp with Mayonnaise, Shredded Pork with Green Peppers, and Salad, also for 990 yen. The reviewer found the dishes to be decent in taste, with some items standing out more than others. The self-service corner offered a buffet-style all-you-can-eat option with soups, rice, desserts, and drinks, making the overall dining experience quite satisfying. Despite the average taste, the excellent value for money earned the restaurant a rating of 3.3 out of 5. Overall, it was recommended for a budget-friendly and enjoyable lunch experience at a hotel Chinese restaurant in Osaka's Temmabashi area.

I was really hungry, so I continued with Chinese food, but this time I went here. I always eat the same old Kinjo set meal. The menu content has been the same for years, but it's always my go-to choice. It's a reliable option for filling me up, and on this day, I skipped dinner. But I'm still not losing weight.

I came back after 3 months since my last visit at the end of last year. I was debating whether to get the dim sum set meal, but ended up ordering the usual. Just like when I had it last time at the end of the year, it was very satisfying. I ended up overeating that day, and gained 3 kilograms... scary. But I will definitely come back to eat here again.

Before heading to work in Kyoto in the afternoon, I had lunch. It's been about 3 years since I last came here. The lunch menu seems to have remained the same for a long time, with all the classic Japanese Chinese dishes like gyoza and shumai. Rice, soup, and almond jelly are all-you-can-eat. I didn't go for seconds, so I would say it's a slightly larger version of the plate lunch. As expected of Chinese cuisine, it's a filling meal! I couldn't eat anything for dinner that night. But it was delicious eating here after a long time, so I'll definitely come back again.

I visited a restaurant in Castle Hotel directly connected to Temmabashi Station during lunchtime. They offer various set menu options with a variety of dishes, including dessert and two types of soup. You can help yourself to unlimited rice. I had the Kinshokaku set meal and enjoyed a variety of side dishes such as small shrimp tempura, mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, and stir-fried pork. The mapo tofu was the most delicious, with a hint of my favorite flavor, Sichuan pepper. For dessert, I had almond jelly, mooncake, and sweet potato. I left feeling full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the 3rd floor of Osaka Castle Hotel, this Chinese restaurant seems to be mainly used for banquets by hotel guests and may not be suitable for solo diners. It has a traditional Japanese inn vibe and lacks the high-end feel seen in photos. While they used to offer various lunch menus, now they only have two options: "Kinjo Teishoku" and "Ladies Teishoku," and they don't even show you the menu. The website and social media have not been updated in years, showing a lack of motivation, but the prices have definitely gone up to 990 yen. The overall quality of the food is low, with too much starch in the mapo tofu and dry rice. The portions are generous, and they offer a buffet and drink service, but the satisfaction level is low. The operation was also disorganized, so using it for a banquet comes with its risks.

Last year's newcomers have become seniors, and this year's newcomers will be joining us a little later. Today, let's all go out for lunch. We've decided on our favorite restaurant. For those who haven't been there before, it's on the 3rd floor of the Castle Hotel in Temmabashi. We left the office at 1 PM and arrived at the restaurant at 11:40 AM, so it's not too crowded yet. We got a table overlooking the cherry blossoms that are still blooming. I ordered the mixed Chinese dish set for 900 yen, while the newcomers ordered the Kinjo set for the same price. We started by choosing our own soup. Oh, they also brought almond jelly and sweet potatoes. With so many side dishes, we had to get extra rice. We ended our meal with coffee and enjoyed a relaxing lunch. As always, it was delicious. Don't forget to bring the newcomers next time.

This is a Chinese restaurant located inside a hotel above Temmabashi. I had lunch here on a Saturday during my shopping. The interior is very spacious! It wasn't crowded at all on this day, so it seems okay for kids to be a bit lively, and there were quite a few families with children. There are plenty of river view seats, and since I visited during cherry blossom season, it was a great place for hanami. It's a hidden gem! There are many options for lunch, so it's fun to choose. I had dim sum lunch, and my husband had ankake yakisoba lunch. We enjoyed various dishes including soup, salad, and dessert in buffet style, although I didn't take photos. Everything was delicious, and we were able to enjoy our meal leisurely while looking at the cherry blossoms!

Once we left them alone, this couple kept eating curry all the time. So, we decided to take a break from curry and walk to Tenma Bridge since the heat had subsided. We ended up at Kinko Kaku on the 3rd floor of Castle Hotel. Oh dear, it turns out they're not serving the Chinese rice bowl right now. So, we opted for the Kinko set meal for 900 yen. A-chan ordered the dim sum set meal, while B-chan chose the crispy yakisoba soup and sweet potato, being a hearty eater. The crispy yakisoba (with sauce poured on top) arrived first, and B-chan enjoyed it with a crunch. Next, the set meals arrived, and although the prices have gone up, they still come with a generous amount of side dishes. It's a bit sad to see the reduced selection of individual items, but hopefully, they will make a comeback once the impact of the pandemic fades. As always, thank you for the delicious meal!

I tend to overeat~ had lunch at "Kinchoshokaku" in Osaka Castle Hotel on the 3rd floor, right above Temmabashi station (as stated on their website). I'm not sure when they were established, but the guy I went with used to come here a lot when he was a newbie. It's located along the river, so you can enjoy your meal while viewing cherry blossoms in the spring. When you get off the elevator, you are momentarily overwhelmed by the luxury (although it feels a bit old-fashioned). I had the "Kinchoshokaku set meal", which seems to be becoming the default choice for me lately. The meal includes mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, small shrimp tempura, and Chinjao rosu, along with a salad. Rice is free for refills (the first serving is brought to you by the staff). The dishes are all so delicious that I end up overeating. Of course, the taste is also GOOD! There is a self-service soup corner with two types of soup. I always go for the corn soup. After the meal, they serve coffee, almond jelly, fried snacks, and candied sweet potatoes. All this for ¥900 is quite a bargain. I had a very satisfying lunch. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

We visited as a group of 4 and were surprised to find ourselves in a private room. We expected a table surrounded by partitions in the hallway, but instead we were seated at a large table for 4 by the riverside. The restaurant seemed spacious enough to accommodate about 4 more rotating tables. We believe we ordered the "Mizu no Miyako Course" for 3500 yen. We had been here for lunch before and decided to explore it for dinner this time. It was a great experience. There is also a waiting area, they accept credit card payments, and there is currently a cashless payment discount available. The restroom is located near the entrance. This restaurant is located in Osaka Castle Hotel, directly connected to the Keihan Railway station. It is a well-established Chinese restaurant. We would love to visit again.

October 2019, the first day of the consumption tax increase, new employee A-chan, who has been training for half a year, was treated to a lunch to celebrate her hard work. On October 1st, there was a job transfer announcement, and 4th-year employee B-chan was going to Tokyo, so C-chan also wanted to go. The four of us walked to a restaurant, where I ordered the Kinjo set meal, B and C-chan ordered the ladies' set meal, and A-chan ordered the dim sum set meal. The prices have gone up to 900 yen, from the previous 850 yen. It seems like the portion size has also decreased, which is a bit disappointing. Today, I had lunch with my coworkers A-chan and C-chan. A-chan has a big appetite, so we went to a restaurant that she recommended. A-chan ordered the Kinjo set meal, B-chan ordered yakisoba, and C-chan couldn't join us due to a work issue. I ordered the Kinjo bowl, which came in a ramen bowl. The portion size was generous, and I was satisfied with the meal. We also had plenty of dessert and coffee, making it a satisfying lunch. In July, I often order the Kinjo set meal for 900 yen, which comes with a generous portion. Today, I went with a young coworker A-san, who ordered the Chinese bowl. I ordered fried rice for 750 yen and also got pickled vegetables soup and corn soup. The Chinese bowl took a while to arrive, and when it did, it had a large portion. A-san struggled to eat it due to being sensitive to hot food. I enjoyed my meal with almond jelly and sweet potato, along with refills of iced coffee. A-san was full and in a rush, only managing to drink the iced coffee.

I have used this place a few times. The view from the window is very nice, and although I made the reservation a few months in advance, it happened to be during the full bloom of cherry blossoms, which was great. There were many sightseeing boats and houseboats passing by, which was beautiful. It was a gathering for a school reunion, so it was nice to sit around a round table. The food was delicious, and it came with all-you-can-drink option, so I could leisurely enjoy my drinks. I forgot to take a picture of the almond jelly dessert, but it was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

From a different branch of the company, a young employee named A came to work as a helper on their first day. They were invited to a sunny day lunch at Kinkaku-Kaku, a place they had never been before. Surprisingly, even though all the new employees had been taken there before, A hadn't. So, they decided to go for lunch at Kinkaku-Kaku. A was a bit worried about the prices, but in the end, they enjoyed the meal, especially the desserts like almond jelly and sweet potatoes. A was very happy and commented that no one had told them about this restaurant before. It was pointed out that their colleagues from the same year should have known about it, so there was no need to complain to the reviewer.

Located at Keihan Temmabashi Station, this Chinese restaurant in Castle Hotel offers a great value lunch deal. While the dessert selection was limited when I visited today, they do offer all-you-can-eat desserts, along with coffee and soup. They had two types of soup available: corn soup and Chinese-style soup. I personally enjoy the Chinese corn soup. The lunch set includes dishes like mixed green peppers and pork, shrimp tempura, and sweet and sour pork, all on one plate. The portions are generous and you can relax with a cup of coffee. It was my first visit in a while, but the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's a dissolution ceremony for the Kinki Area Branch Union at Kawachiya. The branch managers have a 4-year term. Their term ended on May 1st this year, so we hold a dissolution ceremony every 4 years in Osaka. This time, Kawachiya became the office manager of the Osaka branch. I was in charge of organizing everything. The meal was a Chinese course with free drinks for 13,000 yen (tax included). We had luxurious Chinese ingredients like spiny lobster, abalone, Peking duck, and shark fin soup. We enjoyed the meal overlooking the Okawa River. Unfortunately, we couldn't see Osaka Castle from the restaurant. Actor Keishi Arashi and his wife, who helped us with a big event last October, also attended. We had a lively time with delicious Chinese food and drinks. Four years may seem long but it's actually short. Kawachiya has been a branch manager for 8 years, so it felt like a long journey. It was a nostalgic moment thinking that we won't work together with this team anymore. The food was delicious. I would like to visit again for lunch next time.

I was invited to lunch by my senior. We went to a Chinese restaurant in a hotel, which had a thick exterior. The seating was on tatami mats with round tables, creating a calm atmosphere. I ordered the mapo tofu set meal. Rice and soup were self-service and unlimited. When the mapo tofu arrived, it was a huge portion, like it was overflowing in a ramen bowl. Despite being in a hotel, the taste was not intimidating and easy to eat. It was delicious. Thank you for treating me, senior.
