Today's lunch was at HoReiKen in the B2F of the 4th building of the Funaba Center Building in Sakaisuji-Honmachi. We had the seafood deluxe set meal without rice. Both of us were satisfied. The kitchen was bustling with Chinese conversations during the busy lunch hour in the business district. I love Chinese squid, and the ones here were beautifully cut and tender. The hot meatballs in the small dish were also delicious. I realized there was no soup after finishing the meal, but they offered to bring it. I'll look forward to it next time. #LowCarbDiet #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch

21st gourmet review of the Senba Center Building. Located between the udon restaurant Shigeki and Madomo Azel on the north street of 4th building where I previously visited. The kitchen has one man and one woman, and the hall has two obachans. Occasionally, the staff communicate in a foreign language. All the customers are middle-aged salarymen. - Chanpon noodles, fried rice set: ¥750 The character for "noodles" is written as "面" instead of "麺", is this a shortcut for fewer strokes?! (^_^;) Since my visit to Rokumeikaku in Senba Center Building 2nd building, where the Nagasaki champon (with raw egg) was ¥800 for just the noodles, here the fried rice is included in the set for ¥50 cheaper. I am used to the taste of Daifuntei in Kitahama, so this one here is neither good nor bad, just average. Perhaps coming at night with a large group, sharing various dishes, and pairing them with Shaoxing wine might give a different impression ( ̄~ ̄;)?? Today, I had Chinese food for lunch. I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant in town and luckily found one without having to wait in line. I ordered the Seafood Eight Treasures Set Meal for 780 yen, which came with unlimited rice and soup refills. The restaurant allows smoking inside, which was a bit unpleasant. The set meal included a salad, a side dish, and pickles. The Seafood Eight Treasures dish was delicious with crunchy vegetables, but the portion size was a bit small. The side dish was meatballs and fried tofu, which was average. Overall, it was a decent meal for a reasonable price at a local Chinese restaurant.

I stopped by because I was craving ramen. I ordered a ramen set, but the fried rice was cold. On top of that, a smoker came in after me and the restaurant allowed smoking, which I didn't know. The mixture of ramen and smoke made it unpleasant to eat. I will never go back again.

Today's lunch was at "Horeikan," a Chinese restaurant in Osaka, Sakaisuji Hommachi in the "Senba Center Building." It is located on the west side of Sakaisuji. I don't come here often, maybe the last time was 4 years ago? I had the "Deep-fried Chicken Set Meal" (680 yen) last time. It felt like a daily special set meal. The menu mainly consists of noodle sets. I was a bit indecisive but ended up ordering this one by process of elimination. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is like a popular Chinese restaurant. However, since the management seems to be from the mainland, the atmosphere is not like a typical Japanese popular Chinese restaurant, but more like the mainland's atmosphere. The dish arrived after a short wait. Wow! It was a huge portion. Five decent-sized deep-fried chicken pieces. It was a bit surprising. I squeezed the lemon that was served on the side and took a bite. Delicious. It was hot, juicy, and flavorful. It tasted even better with some pepper sprinkled on top. There were also spring rolls and salad on the side. The side dishes were not hot. Were they pre-made? Also, I think they might be frozen foods. I sprinkled some pepper on them as well. The salad was the same as the vegetables served with the deep-fried chicken. There was also egg and seaweed soup. It was also seasoned with pepper. In the end, it was all about pepper, pepper, and more pepper. I was interested in two items on the menu, "5. Hong Kong Yakisoba" and "7. XO Soy Sauce Yakisoba," but they are only available after 1:00 pm. Here is the restaurant information: Address: Senba Center Building 4th Floor, 2-1 Senbachuo, Chuo-ku, Osaka, 541-0055. Phone: 06-6264-0382. Business hours: 11:00-15:30 / 17:00-22:00. Closed on Sundays and holidays.

During lunchtime while working, my colleague and I headed towards the Senba Center Building. We went down to the basement of the fourth building and although we were unsure at first, we ended up choosing a Chinese restaurant. As expected in an office district during lunchtime, the place was packed with salarymen. The waitress came to take our order and explained that the lunch specials were either "Mapo Tofu Set" for 650 yen or "Miso Ramen and Fried Rice Set" for 700 yen. Since I'm not a big fan of miso ramen, I chose the Mapo Tofu. The set included Mapo Tofu, rice, soup, salad, one spring roll, and pickles. The portion of rice was generous and satisfying. Now, onto the taste test. The Mapo Tofu had a nice kick of Sichuan pepper and was delicious, making the rice go down easily. The tofu was a bit firm, which I liked because it didn't turn mushy. The soup with seaweed and tofu was to my liking. The spring roll was average. For 650 yen, the quality and portion size were impressive. I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch at "Horeiken" located in the basement of the Honmachi Center Building in Sakaisuji Honmachi. After 1:00 PM, each ramen, which is normally 600 yen, is reduced to 500 yen, and the mini yakimeshi set, usually 750 yen, is now 600 yen. I chose the pork bone ramen set and enjoyed it. I will upload the draft. I visited Ho Reikan in November last year. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Shinsaibashi Center Building, near Sakaisuji Honmachi Station. I ordered the black tantan noodles and half chan set for lunch. I always make sure to include the rating when leaving a draft. As time passes, I tend to forget many details. The food was quite good, perfect for a lunch in the bustling area of Minami. Thank you for the meal!

This is a Chinese restaurant in the Funamachi Center Building. It seems to have been around for quite some time, as it had that kind of atmosphere. When I entered, two older ladies welcomed me. They promptly showed me to my seat, which had a good view of the TV. I ordered the twice-cooked pork, a dish that includes both vegetables and meat, commonly ordered at Chinese restaurants. The freshly cooked dish was brought out in a wok. It was quite a generous portion, served with cold tofu, salad, and a large serving of rice. Of course, it also came with a side of Chinese pickles. When I tried the twice-cooked pork, I was pleasantly surprised. I had imagined it would be sweet and greasy due to the sweet bean sauce, but it was actually quite mild in that regard, with a hint of spiciness that whet my appetite. It was a satisfying meal, and I even finished the large serving of rice. It seems like it turns into an izakaya at night, so it might be a good place to enjoy Chinese food with drinks. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Only 5 more restaurants to go until the completion of Funamachi Center Building No. 4! Today, I visited Fengling Pavilion, a Chinese restaurant, as I was craving something different from the usual noodle dishes. I found a lunch set with eight treasures on the menu, which turned out to be a great choice. The restaurant had a retro feel to it, and the friendly Osaka lady who greeted me made me feel welcome. The eight treasures dish was beautifully presented with a shiny sauce coating the seafood and vegetables. The soup was flavorful with a generous amount of pepper and seaweed. I enjoyed the meal, although the rice had a slightly unpleasant smell. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience, and I even went for a second helping of rice. I ended up mixing the remaining eight treasures with the extra rice to create my own Chinese bowl, which I devoured with gusto. It would have been nice to have some chili oil on the table, but regardless, it was a delicious meal.

I was tempted by the spring weather and decided to walk from my workplace to this restaurant. Walking a whole station worth is good for my health. The restaurant's exterior gave off a strong Chinese cuisine vibe. I peeked at the food samples outside and decided to go in. I sat at the counter seat by the wall. The staff and kitchen chefs greeted me warmly. I ordered the plate udon set, which was the second most popular item on the menu. I love plate udon and fried rice. The plate udon was delicious. It was loaded with shrimp, squid, pork, bok choy, cabbage, bean sprouts, shimeji mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms. The noodles were firm and the hot dish was enjoyable. The sauce topping towards the end made the noodles tender. The noodles were delicious to savor. The oyster sauce added depth to the flavor. I finished it all in one go. As for the fried rice, it was a bit disappointing. It had an excessive amount of pepper, overshadowing the other flavors. Also, it was lukewarm when I ate it, unlike the hot plate udon. The rice was more crumbly than fluffy. Overall, it felt like a tie with one win and one loss. Next time, I'll try a noodle dish or the sweet and sour pork set. Thank you for the meal.

This is the 9th installment of the Sakaisuji-Honmachi area Chinese food series! Due to a sudden heavy rain, I took shelter at the Senba Center Building 4, where I used to pass by thousands of times before. I decided to try something new and went for the Ramen Yakimeshi Set. The ramen was exactly what I needed! It had the nostalgic taste of a chicken soy sauce broth, with yellow egg noodles that mixed well with the ingredients. The fried rice was fluffy and well-seasoned, really delicious. However, the portion was a bit small. The pickled radish that came with the dish didn't seem necessary, but the 3 pieces of pan-fried dumplings were fantastic. I'll have to try other menu items next time!

I dropped by before 1 pm on a weekday. This restaurant is bustling with mainly office workers. The lunch sets are all very generous in portion size and reasonably priced. I had the daily special which was a set of shark fin noodles and fried rice. The food came out quickly! The shark fin noodles had plenty of thin noodles and were very filling. The fried rice and noodles were both delicious with a gentle Chinese flavor. It may be a bit on the mild side, but it's great for a daily lunch option. It was a lunch set with a good amount of food. There weren't many people smoking during lunchtime on this particular day, but just be aware that smoking is allowed. Thank you for the meal.

At Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line, I felt like eating something spicy (σ( ̄。 ̄) オイラ) during lunchtime. I usually go to a certain izakaya for lunch, but today I noticed that my sister's favorite seat was empty and she wasn't there to call me in with a smile, so I decided to try a different place. Without even looking at the various lunch menus, I chose one dish: Taiwan ramen with fried rice for 650 yen. A beautiful Chinese lady greeted me with a smile and said, "Here you go!" It was really funny (lol). Three minutes later, my meal was served. The spicy aroma of the Taiwan ramen cleared my stuffy nose due to allergies and a cold. The soup wasn't as spicy as it looked at first, but it gradually built up heat... The minced meat had a nice flavor balance. The noodles were the usual straight type and went down smoothly. I ate the noodles first, then enjoyed the spicy soup, followed by the fried rice. The fried rice was moist and crispy, just right. Surprisingly, the fried rice was quite delicious. Eating the fried rice and spicy soup alternately made me break a sweat, but it felt refreshing in a way. It was delicious. After paying the bill and on my way home, I couldn't help but think about the empty seat at my usual izakaya where my sister usually calls me in with a smile. I had a good meal! The energetic sisters working at the Senba Center Building are truly powerful.

I visited during the day on a regular day. The appearance of this shop gave off a good impression, but... I ordered the Taiwanese ramen set, and the ramen lacked flavor, while the fried rice was too bland. This evaluation seems accurate. Sometimes, things like this happen, right? It's fun to enter a shop without googling beforehand, so that's also good in its own way!

I had heard that the cost performance was high, but I was surprised by how good the cost performance was. I used it during lunchtime. There is a ladies' set menu during lunchtime, and the volume is just right, and it's a bit cheap! It's a pretty good lunch menu. This time, I ordered the Mapo Tofu Ladies' Set. The Mapo Tofu has a strong miso flavor, and it also comes with soup and a side dish!! My stomach was a little too full (*´ー`*) Thank you for the meal.

There are many affordable and filling lunch options near Sakaisuji-Honmachi Station, such as the restaurants in the underground floor of the Ebisubashi Center Building. In this area alone, there are about three places to choose from, including a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the daily special Taiwan ramen and fried rice set for 750 yen. The restaurant allows smoking even during lunchtime, and it seemed popular with older men. The Taiwan ramen had a decent level of spiciness and a generous amount of meat miso, making it quite delicious. The fried rice was also well-seasoned and popular among male customers.

Mapo tofu set meal 750 yen Mapo tofu spicy Tastes like homemade Mapo tofu. Meatball fried food Changed to fried rice (small) for an additional 100 yen Relatively mild taste. Egg soup Mild taste. Salad The dressing has a sour taste that I personally like. Draft beer (medium) 300 yen Sometimes when having a meal at night, you may be charged extra, but this restaurant does not do that and you can enjoy your meal without any extra charges. However, it was unfortunate that the owner was the only one working, so almost everything was cold. The owner has a very nice personality.

Visited after 12:00. The restaurant always seems to be full, but this day it was only about 20% full. I entered right away. There were 2 chefs in the kitchen and 2 staff in the dining area. More customers started coming in quickly, and it soon became full. I ordered the daily lunch set (680 yen), which was pork bone ramen and fried rice that day. The kitchen and dining staff seemed to have poor coordination, and it was a bit noisy. The food arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The pork bone ramen had bean sprouts, seaweed, 2 slices of pork, and finely chopped green onions as toppings. The fried rice was of average portion size. The fried rice was quite ordinary. The pork bone ramen had soft and slightly overcooked noodles. The soup was average, typical of a Chinese restaurant's ramen. I finished my meal. The portion size was moderate, and the ramen and fried rice had a typical Chinese restaurant feel to them. Considering the price of 680 yen these days, I would say it was okay.
