Recently, I have been frequenting a yakiniku restaurant that serves delicious food at a reasonable price. The dishes I ordered were:
- Raw liver: Light and delicious, with no unpleasant smell.
- Chorogi salad: A classic salad with Korean seaweed added for an extra touch.
- Tongue assortment: A set including red tongue, salted tongue, and thick-cut tongue. The thick-cut tongue was especially delicious.
- Tsurami (salted): A mixture of garlic, sesame, and green onions that was very tasty.
- Harami (marinated): Marinated in a sweet sauce that was not overpowering.
- Caesar salad: A salad with plenty of dressing, powdered cheese, and croutons.
- Wakatama soup: A soup with a rich yet gentle broth, with plenty of egg and seaweed.
- Yukkejang soup: A spicy soup with plenty of meat, bean sprouts, carrots, and bracken.
- Spicy garlic ramen: A spicy soup with plenty of green onions, egg, and cheese, served with noodles similar to Sapporo Ichiban salt ramen.
The restaurant also offers a value set called "Akamori," which includes loin, belly, harami, and bone-in kalbi. The quality of the meat and the attention to detail in the sauces, water, salt, and charcoal used are commendable. The staff is lively and provides excellent service.
Upon revisiting the restaurant, I tried the recommended dish of "Back Harami" which had a higher fat content than regular harami. It was very flavorful but as I prefer less fatty cuts, I ended up ordering my usual harami in the end. For dessert, I had almond milk ice cream and black vanilla, both of which were refreshing.
During another visit, I tried grilled liver for the first time, which was also delicious. I also ordered my usual harami with sauce, salted tsurami, and tongue assortment. Everything was as tasty as always.
On a subsequent visit, I ordered the tongue assortment, salted tsurami, harami with sauce, chorogi salad, yukkejang soup, and added thick-cut bacon as an extra dish. The bacon was surprisingly light and delicious.
During my most recent visit, I noticed a new menu item called "Ear Cleat" and ordered it with salt seasoning. It turned out to be the ear part of the meat, which was interesting and tasty.
