I heard from the owner that the baguette I love from my favorite French restaurant is made at this place, so I thought I would never go there again. However, I went in the afternoon just to get the baguette, aiming for it to be freshly baked. But there were almost no other breads inside the shop haha. I walked around the store twice thinking of buying something else, but there was no bread I wanted to eat. It was the same last time. I think the combinations of dough and fillings are probably not to my liking. The sandwiches at this shop are like nothing I've ever seen haha. The salmon sandwich is too good to be true! I'll make a reservation next time!

Visited the restaurant around 10:30. Since it's cherry blossom season, I didn't hesitate to buy the cherry blossom red bean bun as I love cherry blossom motifs. I also wanted to try some side dishes, so I bought the potato, bacon, and onion focaccia. - Cherry Blossom Red Bean Bun: Delicious as expected, chewy, and feels like spring. - Potato, Bacon, and Onion Focaccia: Walnut dough with potatoes, bacon, and onions. The rosemary accent was great and added a nice flavor.

Les Bredol is a bakery located a 12-15 minute walk from Matsugasaki Station. It's a popular bakery along Kitaoji Street where highly rated restaurants are clustered nearby. They open at 8 a.m. and by midday, some breads are already sold out due to the bustling crowd. Their relatively reasonable prices and manageable portion sizes make it easy to purchase a variety of items. This time, I bought the popular smoked salmon and corn with basil sauce pizza, as well as the Vienna roll made with carefully selected ingredients. The pizza, with the texture of salmon, sweetness of corn, and the flavor of basil sauce, enhances the deliciousness of each component. The Vienna roll, a simple and universally loved juicy treat, was also mouthwatering. With a wide selection of items, this bakery is highly recommended. Be sure to visit. Thank you for the meal!

Lotus root and shirasu pizza. A pizza with lotus root and shirasu on top of white sauce, baked to perfection. The texture is enjoyable, and the flavor of shirasu is delicious. Spicy special chorizo danish. A filling mixed with potatoes and cream cheese topped with spicy chorizo. Easy to eat.

The homepage prominently emphasizes our specialty is safety, even addressing post-harvest concerns, which impressed me. I really wanted to try it, so I went out of my way to buy it. However, I was surprised to learn that certain breads use very common shortening. It seems to be used in the Yamagata bread and whole wheat bread. Despite emphasizing safety so much, allowing that? I prioritize health over price and taste, so bakeries that make me worry about margarine and shortening all the time won't get my repeat business. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is a bakery that focuses on using organic, domestically produced flour for peace of mind. It seems to have opened as a bakery affiliated with HELP, a Kyoto-based natural food store. It is located near Co-op Kyoto. I noticed it when I went to buy my favorite Co-op brand bread. ⚫︎ Alicol Rouge (200 yen) A Danish bread with azuki beans, almond cream, and raisins mixed in. The glaze on top is explosively sweet! It's so sweet that even the azuki beans don't taste sweet. It's recommended to enjoy it with coffee. ⚫︎ Salmon and Tartar Calzone (220 yen) Inside the calzone, there is a tartar with a little mayo and flakes of smoked salmon. The ingredients have a subtly gentle taste. The dough is a fluffy bread dough calzone. When warmed up, it becomes crispy.

(Taken from a blog post) Today, I was in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City. While biking along Kitaoji Street, a sign caught my eye: "Recommended summer item: baked curry bread." Intrigued, I decided to stop by this bakery. ■ Les blés d'or An organic and domestically sourced wheat flour bakery with a focus on safety and security. Inside the cozy shop, a variety of bread was displayed. They have nearly 100 types of bread available daily. I chose two breads, including the baked curry bread, to take home as snacks. ● Berry Tart A colorful pastry bread made with blueberries, raspberries, and lemon-flavored cheese cream. The dough is soft, and the cream is smooth. The acidity of the berries and the freshness of the lemon intertwined nicely. The crunchy texture of the raspberries was delightful. The fluffy bread dough was especially delicious. ● Baked Curry Bread A healthy curry bread made without frying. It was circular in shape and had a generous amount of curry filling. The solid fruity curry had a rich flavor. It was so delicious that I wanted another one. Since it wasn't fried, it was very easy to eat without getting greasy hands. Each bread had a deep flavor. It was delicious.

I love the cookies here so much, even though it's a bakery! Sorry for writing a review about cookies at a bakery, but for me, this shop is all about the chunky cookies! The bread is also very delicious!! They have an exciting lineup of bread. I didn't buy it, but I was drawn to the salmon tartare-like dish... The cookies here are unrivaled among bakery cookies. I've never seen such thick ones, and if you want to try them once, you have to buy them at this shop; there's no substitute, I think...!!! I'm really curious about the sesame cookies and the black tea cookies, but I always end up buying the chocolate chip cookies (with nuts!)... I still have a child's palate, haha. Oh, there are actually more cookies in the box than in the photo!!!

Nothing special about it. Couldn't taste the mushroom on the pizza... Added some fresh cilantro I happened to buy, and finally got some flavor (bitter smile). Maybe once is enough...

The walnut and raisin compote Danish was well-baked and truly delicious. It lived up to its popularity and vibrant description. I would definitely come back for this. They seem to excel in Danishes, so I tried the chorizo one, but I think the sweeter ones are tastier. The combination of chorizo and cream cheese was unique. I will visit again.

I visited the bakery on a Sunday afternoon around 3 PM. There were only a few breads left on display, which looked a bit sad. The staff mentioned that it was a special day, and sometimes there are more breads left in the evening.

It's delicious, but a little expensive for the small portion.

The walnut hard bread was studded with crushed walnuts throughout. The fig hard bread had sesame sprinkled on top, with large figs arranged on the upper part of the bread. Unlike other bakeries where ingredients are clustered in one spot, I was initially surprised that they were mixed throughout the dough, but I felt like I could eat it in a way that suits my mood at the moment. I wanted to know the true intention of the creator. Both breads were more fluffy than chewy. It felt like delicate bread.
