On the third day of Golden Week, my eldest son had to return to Himeji early for school, so my partner, son, and I went shopping before that, but first, it's lunchtime here! We tried a Kansai-based chain restaurant that specializes in Japanese cuisine. They have a limited menu, and we were intrigued by the "Tai Meshi Showdown" menu. We tried the Matsuyama-style Tai Meshi Set, which includes Matsuyama city's Tai Meshi, seasonal tempura, red miso soup, pickles, and ochazuke set. Tai Meshi from Ehime is famous, but it differs between Matsuyama and Uwajima in Ehime. We enjoyed it three ways: first as is, then with chopped green onions and nori, and finally with dashi poured over it, turning it into "Tai Chazuke." Each variation was delicious. We also had soft serve ice cream to satisfy our cravings. We tried the "Tabekiri Soft Serve" with a cone for 108 yen. We had fun customizing our soft serve at the self-serve station. The slightly crooked soft serve cone added to the charm, and it's something kids would love. It's a reliable and enjoyable experience unique to chain restaurants. Thank you for the meal! Ookini!

Originally founded in 1958 at Hosei-ji Temple in Osaka, this sushi restaurant is the origin of SRS Holdings Co., Ltd., which owns well-known food and beverage chain brands such as Washoku Sato, Santen, Katsuya, Miyamoto Munashi, and Chojiro. I ordered the tonkatsu set meal. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was at Sato, a Japanese restaurant I haven't been to in a while. I had the Nagomi Bento (Hana Chirashi) and Mini Cold Soba for 861 yen. I also got the Lunch Sato Cafe with a drink bar for 257 yen. The portion was a bit small. The daily lunch special was already sold out. Visited for the first time around 11:00 on May 15th (Wednesday, Yogurt Day), riding the rattling bus alone for lunch. I had the Early Summer Fisherman's Seafood Bowl Set for 1,401 yen including tax, which includes the Early Summer Fisherman's Seafood Bowl, Firefly Squid with Vinegar Miso, Chawanmushi, choice of mini noodles, and pickles. It was 737kcal of "luxuriously indulging in early summer seafood." I should have paired this with alcohol, what a missed opportunity. Nevertheless, it was delicious. I changed the noodles to a regular size (cold udon) for an additional 108 yen including tax. I don't visit Washoku Sato often, but I learned that it's bustling even on weekdays for lunch with mom friends gatherings, etc. Thank you for the meal♪

Visited on February 15, 2019. I called ahead because I thought Hanakin might be crowded, but we were able to eat without any issues. We enjoyed the all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, drink bar, and ice cream until we were stuffed. The table stove's heat couldn't be adjusted, so we had to use a portable stove, which made it a bit difficult to eat. The noodles at the end were delicious. The dessert ice cream had a self-serve topping station, which was fun to customize to our liking.

The rosukatsu don was very juicy. I would like to go again if I have the chance.

Today, I was at Kohnan and stopped by on my way home. I looked at the menu on the touch panel, and as usual, I ordered curry udon and rice. I've been hooked on Sato's curry udon for about a year now, and no matter how many times I eat it, I never get tired of it. I go there about two or three times a month. The place I go to is Sato, which is right there. The taste is always the same (which is expected), and although I don't think they put too much effort into it, it suits me. Sato's food is always delicious no matter where you go. That's probably why they've been around for so long. Thank you for the meal as always.

I had a long-awaited reunion with my former colleagues at a traditional Japanese restaurant called "Washoku Sato - Shinkanaoka Branch". We enjoyed the "Sato Shabu" hot pot dish. Although I was tempted by the "Premium Course" with 75 types of all-you-can-eat food, my friend who is a shabu-shabu expert warned me, "You won't be able to eat that much in the end!" So, I decided to order the "Beef and Pork Standard Course" (only shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat). We enjoyed the shabu-shabu with light bonito broth and authentic kimchi broth. We ate plenty of meat and vegetables, had endless conversations, and ended up in high spirits, even suggesting, "Let's have a year-end party!" It was a fun and enjoyable gathering. I visited a restaurant called Sato after going to Hanao Shrine in the morning and attending a children's festival in the neighborhood. It was so hot that I felt exhausted. Since I had no appetite and didn't feel like choosing a place to eat, I decided to go to Sato because they have a variety of options like a family restaurant. My grandmother had the pork cutlet set, my daughter had the children's set with ramen, and I had cold soba noodles. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, so I was relieved. They seem to have a good selection of children's meals, so I might visit again in the future. Thank you for the meal!

Recently, there seems to be a lot of "first-time" dishes, but this time it's the "first time trying Roast Beef Donburi" ← I'm quite late to the trend (ﾉ∀`) I tried it at "Washoku Sato". Since trying out a famous restaurant can be intimidating, I opted for a more affordable option at a family restaurant. I chose a set that came with a small bowl of udon. I poured the wasabi-infused sauce over the dish and dug in right away. On top of the rice bowl were sliced onions and a soft-boiled egg. The meat was tender, the soft-boiled egg made the dish mild, and the sliced onions added a nice touch. It was easy to eat. Alright, I tried it here, so I'll challenge other restaurants too!
