The limited edition flavor I found in Osaka was takoyaki. I decided to purchase "Osaka Limited Edition Kakitane Takoyaki Sauce Flavor 70g" for 432 yen, one for my friend and one for myself. When I got home, I enjoyed it with a beer. As soon as I opened it, the scent of seaweed and sauce filled the air, making me feel like I was in a takoyaki mood. It is larger in size than the typical Niigata specialty "kakinotane". The crispy texture is delightful when you bite into it. It is wrapped in a sweet and rich sauce, with the flavor of bonito flakes and mayonnaise adding a savory touch. The taste of high-quality "uruchimai rice" spreads throughout the mouth. It is truly an addictive snack that makes you keep wanting more, and it made the beer go down smoothly. This rice cracker would be appreciated by both adults and children, making it a perfect souvenir from Osaka.

While in Namba, I came across a specialty store for kakinotane (spicy rice crackers) that I've been curious about for a while. It's located in the basement of Namba Takashimaya. They offer a mixed pack for 789 yen with three flavors: Ebi Mayo (shrimp mayonnaise), luxurious cheese, and Japanese-style teriyaki soy sauce. Perfect for snacking and also great as a gift. This was my first time trying a product from Kakitane Kitchen. I have recently developed a taste for salty snacks, so I was looking forward to trying it. I had the Luxurious Cheese with Almond flavored kakinotane, and it was delicious. I couldn't stop eating them in the morning.

When you go to Namba Takashimaya, you must stop by. It's delicious. It goes well with alcohol and also makes a great dessert after a meal. There are so many different flavors to choose from, but surprisingly, things like takoyaki end up being just average, not that great. The items sold by weight are usually a safe bet, haha.

This is a shop specializing in persimmon seed snacks from Toyosu Seika. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and the persimmon seeds are about 5 times larger than normal, making them easy to eat. I ended up devouring a whole bag in no time. Thank you for the delicious treat.

"Kakitane Kitchen," a specialty shop for kaki no tane (persimmon seeds). This Valentine's Day, they decided to go with "kaki no tane"! It may not be flashy, but all the old guys love "kaki no tane." After all, isn't receiving "kaki no tane" more exciting than receiving chocolate? They chose a product called "Cube" for this occasion. It's a colorful square box containing two sets of consommé potato and smoked cheese flavored kaki no tane (432 yen each). They also had flavors like strawberry chocolate and Earl Grey chocolate, but those were deemed unsuitable for the old guys and rejected. Each box contains 72g, with consommé potato flavor including giant corn and smoked cheese flavor including butter peanuts. Perfect for enjoying with beer. You can just imagine the smiles on the old guys' faces.

"This would be perfect for those who love alcohol." I purchased a variety of flavored kaki no tane (rice crackers) at this store. I ordered them as a souvenir for an acquaintance who loves alcohol, including Osaka limited edition flavors such as takoyaki sauce, cheese, seafood salt sauce, sweet and spicy soy sauce, teriyaki mayonnaise, and sansho pepper and soy sauce flavored kaki no tane. I wanted them to enjoy a little bit of each flavor, so I had them packed in small palm-sized boxes with a variety of flavors. It's a bit spicy and crunchy - I couldn't stop eating it. However, compared to last time, there were more broken pieces, which was a bit disappointing. I used it for the first time on January 1, 2018. I used it on a Monday. It is the last day of a 3-night, 4-day trip to Osaka with my princess! After seeing off the princess at the airport, I had about 2 hours until my flight, so I wandered around the airport. This store is located in the souvenir shop before passing through the departure gate. They sell rice crackers and senbei, and there are various flavors of rice cracker seeds. The Gudetama rice cracker seeds were tantanmen (spicy sesame noodle) + butter peanuts. As it is tantanmen, it is slightly spicy. The rice cracker seeds are larger than the commonly seen "kakinotane" and have a slightly plump texture. It feels more crispy than crunchy. Compared to the "kakinotane" that I always eat, the texture is a bit unsatisfactory. But it is a bite-sized snack, and since there are various flavors, it might be good as a souvenir!

Well, I love Kakinotane (Japanese rice crackers with peanuts). I went to buy gifts for others on this day, but ended up buying some for myself too! I love curry, but I resisted it this time (laughs). I bought the ginger pork flavor instead! It really tastes like ginger pork (laughs). I also bought a spicy seven-spice mix, which is great too! And cheese. I love cheese, so I got it in a cup this time. It's fun to collect different flavors, right? I'll definitely go back to buy more!

Sitting in front of my computer with a beer in hand and kaki no tane. I never knew there were specialty shops just for kaki no tane. But there are so many flavors to enjoy! First, I'll try the sansho pepper flavor... *crunch* Wow! This is a real sansho pepper taste! Definitely for adults! Next, the marble chocolate... *crunch* Mmm! Just as I imagined, the marble with a mild touch of sansho pepper! And now, the cheese flavor... *crunch* Mmm! Delicious cheese flavor! This is good enough on its own! Well, it's no surprise it's a specialty shop for kaki no tane. It's a great idea to bring these as souvenirs. Personally, I think they should add tuna mayo flavor. Tuna mayo and the spiciness of sansho pepper would definitely go well together! Thank you for the great experience.

I saw a follower post about it and it looked delicious, so I decided to try it out! I went to the food section at Namba Takashimaya. Amidst the crowd of customers buying Valentine's Day chocolates, I found this shop. I tried some samples and decided on the following flavors: Sansho Pepper and Soy Sauce, Luxury Cheese, and Seafood Salt Sauce, each priced at 350 yen (excluding tax). Since it was for home consumption, I bought the ones in a bag instead of a box. Unfortunately, the bag did not contain any nuts. The Sansho Pepper flavor was spicy with a strong aroma of sansho pepper and large persimmon seeds, giving it a crispy texture. This was my favorite. The Luxury Cheese flavor had a strong cheese aroma and was covered in cheese powder, reminiscent of cheese crackers. The Seafood Salt Sauce with scallop flavor didn't have a strong scallop taste, but the pepper was noticeable. I thought it could use more pepper. With so many varieties, I want to try more flavors next time I go back! Thank you for the meal!

There are various types of persimmon seeds available these days, but these were good. They are larger than normal persimmon seeds and have a satisfying crunch. The chocolate is not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness, making it easy to eat. The cheese flavor was nice with a hint of saltiness.
