Hinozono is a recently renovated restaurant specializing in pork shabu-shabu and tonkatsu. Originally a Kagoshima cuisine restaurant, they mainly use Kagoshima pork. Their recommended dish is the TOKYOX katsudon, made with Kagoshima pork that has TOKYOX lineage. The tonkatsu has a trendy rare fried texture, with a thin crispy coating that adheres well to the meat. The katsudon with TOKYOX pork is a delightful lunch choice. Topped with a generous amount of half-cooked egg, the dish is a level up in deliciousness. The egg is rich and flavorful, enhancing the overall taste without causing heaviness. Hinozono is a new tonkatsu restaurant where you can enjoy a satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I indulged in the Tokyo X shabu-shabu, which was light yet flavorful and paired perfectly with green onions. The broth was a sweet soba dipping sauce and ponzu. The meat was not greasy, sweet, and melted in my mouth. I would love to go back for a business meeting next time.

There used to be a restaurant called "Buta-bi" in the place where the new tonkatsu and pork shabu-shabu restaurant "Hinozono" has opened. The interior of the restaurant seems to be the same as the previous one, with a counter, table seats, and a view of a courtyard in the back. For lunch, there is a male owner and a female staff member. Customers gradually take seats at the counter, giving off a high-class vibe similar to the residents of the nearby luxury tower apartment. The recommended dish here is the "Tokyo X Kagoshima Black Pork Loin Tonkatsu 150g" for 2,640 yen, but it seems to be unavailable today, so I ordered the "Kagoshima Black Pork Loin Tonkatsu 150g" for 2,310 yen. I waited for a while. The meal came with rice, cabbage, and a pork soup similar to red miso soup. Rice and cabbage were refillable. I couldn't quite tell the flavor of the miso soup. The tonkatsu had an elegant appearance with a thin and crispy coating, and the meat was hot and juicy. It paired perfectly with the fruity tonkatsu sauce, which I assume is homemade. The meat melted in my mouth with each bite. Despite finishing the 150g portion, it didn't feel heavy on the stomach. This is definitely worth trying for the price. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

Hizo-no, a high-class pork dish restaurant. Located in Shinmachi. The owner is a master of Japanese cuisine. There are apparently two more levels above this one. Rooibos tea is complimentary. This time, I had the Kagoshima black pork loin cutlet rice bowl for 1980 yen. Mr. Hizono is from Kagoshima. He has a close connection with JA Kagoshima, so he can get good Kagoshima black pork. You should order this. Kagoshima black pork loin cutlet rice bowl. It is made by putting egg on top of tonkatsu. The visual presentation looks delicious. Even the pickles are carefully prepared. The miso soup is homemade. Overall view. A high-quality cutlet rice bowl made with Kagoshima black pork. My expectations are high. It's delicious. The tonkatsu made from the rib loin of Kagoshima black pork, with egg mixed in, is incredibly delicious. The combination of tonkatsu, egg, and sauce stimulates the taste buds. It's irresistible. I couldn't stop saying how delicious it was. The sauce soaks in just right. Since it's made from rib loin, there is plenty of fat. However, you can tell that there is marbling in the lean part too. It's quite high-quality. The fat is also pleasantly sweet. I had the Tokyo X cutlet rice bowl at this restaurant last time, but this one is just as delicious or even better. A step up in deliciousness. It's a shame that pork fat is high in omega-6, but the fact that they use good quality fat for frying is very appealing.

West Ohashi ◇ Tonkatsu & Pork Shabu-shabu ◇ [Nishi-ku Shinmachi 1-chome] At the intersection of Nagahori Street and Naniwasuji Street (Nishi Ohashi), go north at the first traffic light, then turn east and it will be on the right side after crossing one street. [Tonkatsu Pork Shabu-shabu Hinozono], which used to have a sign for Kagoshima prefecture's local cuisine [Kuzushi Kappo Butabiyori], has reopened. Made a reservation and visited with two people. ◆ Brand pork three types, pork shabu-shabu hot pot course, brand pork three types shabu-shabu & tonkatsu (5500 yen) (+2200 yen for all-you-can-drink for 120 minutes). Started with draft beer. ・ Three types of appetizers ・ Boiled peanuts with salt ・ Pork tsukune ・ Two types of brand pork tonkatsu ・ Shabu-shabu of three types of pork ・ Assorted seasonal vegetable hot pot ・ Soba noodles ・ Dessert The pork and vegetables were plentiful (too much to finish), and tonkatsu was also included. Finished with soba noodles. The all-you-can-drink shochu had several types of sweet potato shochu from Kagoshima prefecture (nice touch). Quite full and satisfied. "Thank you for the meal."

Osaka Yotsuhashi "Tonkatsu Pork Shabu Hizo no" reopened on April 3rd this year!! This place offers the elusive pork TOKYO X and Kagoshima Kurobuta for tonkatsu and shabu-shabu. This time, we tried the dinner-only "TOKYO X Shabu-Shabu Course" for 4400 yen. The pot was filled with plenty of vegetables, which was greatly appreciated for those lacking in veggies. TOKYO X was not only lean but also had sweet fatty parts. It tasted even better when wrapped in leeks and greens. The pork cutlet was rich in flavor and delicious. The meal was finished with green tea soba, which had a strong tea flavor and was very tasty. The portion size was huge, and for this price, it was a steal! It seems quite busy, so reservations are a must. I would love to try their tonkatsu next time. The friendly and attentive owner makes it a great place for a date or girls' night out. If you're interested, give it a try! It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the feast.

Good afternoon in July 2023! The cost performance is not bad at all! Today, I had a luxurious lunch ❤️⭐ Tokyo X Pork Cutlet "Honma Kaina?" It's been decades since I first had Tokyo X and was amazed by it. Recently, I had it again and it certainly tastes good, but I feel like there's something different about it. Just like how Jack Daniel's, which amazed me when I first tried it many years ago, doesn't taste as good now. Of course, things change over time. The Tokyo X I had today was fried in good oil at a low temperature, and it looked so delicious with its beautiful color and shine. The coating was thin and the frying was done perfectly. It wasn't greasy at all, and the texture of the coating didn't interfere with the taste of the meat. It was delicious! Light and flavorful, with the sweetness and umami of the fat being felt. It was tender and had no hint of meatiness. If I were to compare it to tofu, it would be like a soft, sweet, melting silk tofu. The dipping sauce at the restaurant was blended with miso, and it was very delicious! The miso soup was full of root vegetables, and the owner said, "We use a salty red dashi for this season." I see! The miso soup was very delicious, with the umami and sweetness of the vegetables. The seasoned shredded cabbage had just the right amount of acidity and was wonderful. The attention to detail in the ingredients, seasonings, vegetables, frying method, temperature, etc., was evident, and I enjoyed it very much. For ¥2640, it was a very good value in my opinion. Next time, I want to try the owner's recommended pork Chateaubriand instead of focusing on Tokyo X. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal ❤️

Today I had work near Yotsubashi. On my way home, I stopped by to visit an acquaintance. The food I had this time was: - TOKYO X Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot Course (1 person ¥4,400 tax included) - Appetizers and side dishes - TOKYO X Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot with premium pork, rich in flavor and umami - Homemade hot pot meatballs with cartilage, absolutely delicious! - Hot pot vegetables - Homemade soba broth - Special ponzu sauce - Choice of green tea soba or porridge - Yuzu sherbet I also had: - Oolong tea (¥385 tax included) - Sakurajima small mandarin juice (¥440 tax included) At first glance, it may seem intimidating, but don't worry! The owner is very friendly, so I was able to enjoy my meal leisurely!

This was my second visit, and I went for lunch this time. I had the Katsudon at TOKYO X. It was my first time at TOKYO X, and I was surprised by the deliciousness and sweetness of the meat. The seasoning of the Katsudon itself was gentle, and I was impressed by the taste. I also tried the tenderloin cutlet, which was the softest I've ever had. I want to try various dishes next time, so I will ask for the mixed cutlet. The selection of shochu and dishes that go well with it here is also excellent, making it the perfect place for me as a shochu lover. The conversation with the friendly chef also contributes to the enjoyment of the meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Last month, I went to TOXYO X to have their katsudon, and I heard that they also serve shabu-shabu, so I went back again. The TOXYO X katsudon was finely textured, moist, flavorful, and the fatty part was sweet. It wasn't heavy at all, and I could enjoy it in a refreshing way. Wrapping it in green onions and lettuce was also amazing, especially with the ponzu sauce. It seems that there are few places in Osaka where you can eat TOXYO X. It's a luxurious treat to be able to enjoy the rare TOXYO X. For the finale, I chose soba noodles, which were warmed with the rich flavor of TOXYO X broth, and dipped in the soba broth. The soba was cooked perfectly. The finale was delicious too. For dessert, I had yuzu sherbet, which was refreshing. The TOXYO X shabu-shabu course is ¥4,400 and includes appetizers, side dishes, TOXYO X shabu-shabu, vegetables, homemade tsukune, soba noodles or porridge, and yuzu sherbet. In addition to the course, I also had the minced katsu for ¥660, which was absolutely delicious. The staff's service was polite and pleasant. I highly recommend the katsudon and tonkatsu as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Located a 3-minute walk from Yotsuya Station, Tonkatsu and Pork Shabu-Shabu Hizono opened on April 3, 2023. The pork has a sweet taste and is easy to eat with high-quality fat. The broth in the katsudon is also delicious and gentle. Their specialty Tokyo X Top Loin Katsudon is priced at 2,530 yen and comes with miso soup and pickles. The tamagotoji (egg topping) uses two eggs from the brand "Taiyo no Tamago" from Nagasaki, which pairs perfectly with the katsudon. The fillet katsu and fried taro dish were also incredibly delicious! The friendly owner made the dining experience even better. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited Hizono after a 3-minute walk from exit 2 of Yotsuhashi Station on the subway. Although I was curious about the shabu-shabu, I ended up trying the limited edition specialty TOKYO X pork cutlet bowl (tax included 2,530 yen). The "TOKYO X pork cutlet bowl" was rare and made me feel excited and nervous. The moment I took a bite, the melting fat and subtle sweetness spread throughout my mouth, surprising me with its deliciousness beyond my imagination! The high-quality TOKYO X meat, as well as the eggs, rice, and broth, were all carefully selected, making it a luxurious dish that can only be tasted at Hizono. It was the most delicious pork cutlet bowl I have ever had in my life. I felt overwhelmed! It was very satisfying with a generous portion, and I enjoyed changing the taste by adding shichimi. The miso soup was also delicious with plenty of ingredients. The staff and atmosphere of the restaurant were great, and most importantly, I can't forget the taste of the pork cutlet bowl, so I definitely want to go back to eat it again. Thank you for the meal! In Shinmachi, Osaka, there is a restaurant where you can enjoy TOKYO X's tonkatsu and katsudon. I had been looking for a place nearby to eat delicious katsudon, so I decided to drop in. This place was renovated in April as a tonkatsu and pork shabu-shabu restaurant, previously it was a Japanese restaurant called Buta Bi. You can choose between TOKYO X pork or Kagoshima black pork for the katsudon, priced at 2,530 yen and 1,980 yen respectively. The tonkatsu had an ideal thickness and was fried slowly at a slightly lower temperature. The fat from TOKYO X pork really melts differently, with a lower melting point. The lean meat was from a marbled loin and tasted delicious. The egg topping was just right, with a good dashi flavor, making it close to ideal. This is a katsudon that I would want to go back for occasionally. They also serve pork shabu-shabu at night, so I am looking forward to trying that as well. Rating: 3.66, Budget: 2,500 yen, Reservations can be made through Tabelog.

Katsudon is an emotional food. At a Japanese restaurant in Cebu Island, a young backpacker was seen eating with his eyes closed, savoring each bite. A new pork dish restaurant in Shinmachi. The owner seems to be from Kagoshima. Free Rooibos tea. I decided to order the Tokyo X Pork Loin Katsudon. It cost 2530 yen including tax. After a while, the Pork Loin Katsudon was brought to me. It looked delicious. It came with miso soup and pickles. It was well-prepared. Overall, it was delicious. The pork was of high quality and didn't feel heavy on the stomach. The rib loin part had a good balance of lean meat and fat marbling. I enjoyed it so much that I finished it in no time. It's reasonable to be able to eat a Katsudon made with Tokyo X rib loin for 2500 yen. I also confirmed that the higher the grade of pork, the tastier it becomes. However, since Katsudon is an emotional food, it's possible that a Katsudon made with Kagoshima black pork loin could be even more delicious.

This time, I felt like eating something light, so I asked the chef to make me an eel hot pot. Since the restaurant was originally known for its Japanese cuisine, the eel cooked in a delicious broth was extremely tasty. The chef kindly said he would prepare it if I let him know in advance, so I will definitely come back to try the tonkatsu and shabu-shabu as well. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Thank you very much. The tonjiru (pork miso soup) had plenty of ingredients. The katsudon at Tokyo X was unique and had great visual presentation. The pickles from Yamatsujita added extra flavor. Truly impressive, Tokyo X. Thank you for the meal. See you later.

I ordered the mixed pork cutlet set and the homemade minced cutlet at a tonkatsu restaurant located a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Ohashi Station on the Osaka Metro. The restaurant, run by a Japanese cuisine master, specializes in traditional tonkatsu. The interior features private tatami rooms near the entrance, while further inside, there are counter and table seats. The tonkatsu is deep-fried once in an iron pot, then slowly heated on a heater before being served. It took about 20 minutes from ordering to arrival. The pork used that day was both loin and fillet from Minamishu Natural Pork. The breadcrumbs have a fox-colored coating with a slightly larger piece mixed in. The coating is uniformly thick with a crispy and light texture. The loin is firm with a subtle sweet taste from the fat, leaving a refreshing aftertaste. The fillet is incredibly moist and tender with a soft, chewy texture. It has a light seasoning, allowing the natural flavor of the meat to shine through. The minced cutlet, although slightly small, is packed with a light pork flavor and has a crunchy texture from chicken cartilage. It also contains shiso leaves for a refreshing touch. The sauce used is from Kyoto, with a fruity sweetness and a rich demi-glace-like flavor. It complements the tonkatsu well without overpowering it. The rice, made from a blend of grains, has a fragrant aroma and a strong sweetness. It is delicious even on its own. The miso soup is made with red miso and is filled with plenty of ingredients. It has a gentle flavor within the sharpness of the miso, providing a comforting warmth. Overall, each dish in the set meal showcased high quality and was a delightful dining experience. Thank you for the meal.
