This time, I visited the tonkatsu restaurant "Katsu Man" owned by Fuji Food, known for places like "Katsu-dining" and "Tsurumaru." I may have made a mistake in choosing my menu, so I will definitely give it another try and reevaluate it. The restaurant is located in a shopping street, with a spacious interior featuring counter and table seats. The staff, dressed in hygienic uniforms, work diligently behind the counter. The scent of oil fills the air in the restaurant, which is always enticing for those who love high-calorie flavors. Now, let me introduce the carefully selected menu items: - Beef Cutlet Set: Single 1080 yen, Double 1850 yen, Triple 2400 yen - Pork Loin Cutlet Set: 150g 970 yen, 200g 1190 yen, 250g 1410 yen - Fillet Cutlet Set: 1050 yen - Shrimp Fry Set: 1410 yen - Fillet Cutlet & Shrimp Fry Set: 1630 yen - Pork Loin Cutlet & Shrimp Fry Set: 1520 yen - Fillet Cutlet & Shrimp Fry Set: 1630 yen - Pork Loin Cutlet & Fried Chicken Set: 1190 yen - Fillet Cutlet & Fried Chicken Set: 1270 yen - Shrimp Fry & Fried Chicken Set: 1270 yen There are other items as well, but I'll stop here. (Someone else, please check the menu for me.) I ordered the "Pork Loin Cutlet Set 250g" for 1410 yen. You can choose between multigrain rice and white rice, but white rice pairs well with cod roe. Extra large rice costs an additional 170 yen, a clever business move because you can enjoy unlimited cod roe with it. I ended up choosing multigrain rice, hoping to lose weight... Shortly after, the miso soup and multigrain rice, along with the large 250g pork loin cutlet, arrived. The miso soup was not very tasty for some reason, maybe it was too thin? I watched the kitchen staff cut the freshly fried cutlets from the counter, and perhaps they didn't fry the 250g cutlet long enough. It seemed quite rare, which was a bit unsettling. Maybe they fried it a bit too quickly. Honestly, so far, there isn't much to praise about this place. But maybe it was my fault for ordering the wrong item. Looking at other reviewers, the 150g cutlet seems to be perfectly cooked and delicious. Perhaps I was too greedy in wanting the 250g cutlet, and that's why it ended up undercooked. Next time, I'll try again with white rice and a 150g pork loin cutlet. Oh, and miso soup, you can do better!
