So, I decided to check it out - it's called Taro Shokudo. Inside, there are 5 tables for 4 people each and a 4-seat counter. The menu is like this... It might be a little hard to read, but the owner explains it all clearly for you. You can choose your side dishes for the set meal from the showcase. If you just want a single item, it's 300 yen. I thought about getting a set meal, but it was too hot for soup that day, so I went with the yakisoba single item for 650 yen. The pickled ginger was a nice touch. The noodles were your typical yakisoba noodles, and the seasoning was that reliable taste you get at diners. At first glance, it may not look like there's a lot of ingredients, but it's surprisingly full of them. It had a comforting feel to it. However, on that day, even though it was the end of June, it was close to 33 degrees. They didn't have the air conditioning on, so I ended up sweating buckets while eating, which was kind of like torture... It was delicious though. Thanks for the meal~♪

I didn't touch it at all, but that's how it looked. It was slow-cooked. I also ordered yakisoba for 600 yen, which was a bit greasy. And of course, I had a bottle of beer for 550 yen. After a while, the owner brought out the meal, saying, "It takes time to heat up the oil in this cold weather." I like this kind of casual talk. The meal had plenty of vegetables, which was nice.
