I'm a resident of Fukuoka, but I decided to stay at a city hotel for a change and chose Mitsui Garden Hotel this time. The accommodation plan included a breakfast voucher, and since there was a grace period for its expiration, I visited on a day after checking out. Breakfast was served from 6:30 to 11:00 (last entry at 10:00), and I arrived around 6:50. There was already a line forming by 7-8am as mentioned on social media, so I barely made it in time. The first thing that caught my eye was the sushi chef! Being able to eat freshly made sushi was a luxurious experience. The amount of rice was just right, so I ended up going back for seconds and thirds. Although the taste was not exceptional, it was a delightful experience overall. In addition to sushi, I also recommend trying the steamed sushi. There was a variety of Kyushu regional dishes, such as kombu mentaiko, okiuto, ikashumai, which was a delight for tourists. You could choose between "tonjiru" or "mizutaki no nyu-men" for miso soup. The desserts were all delicious, even for someone like me who doesn't usually eat sweets. The Ono Group is known for their generous portions, and the white rice was also delicious. This breakfast buffet is definitely worth waking up early for! It's open to non-guests as well, so it might be a good option for those who want to enjoy a buffet after an early start. After our meal, we relaxed at Hareno Garden with a cup of coffee. Overall, it was a highly recommended plan.

There are plenty of seats so you won't have to wait, but the buffet area is a bit hectic. Thank you for the meal.

I stayed at the Royal Park Hotel, which allows guests to have breakfast at other hotels as well. However, I was disappointed as the level of this hotel was neither impressive nor disappointing. I walked 15 minutes to Mitsui Urban Nakasu, where the food was very healthy-oriented with subtle flavors and no strong dashi taste. I was happy to have sushi for breakfast, but it was not worth the 15-minute walk. It turned out to be a good walking exercise.

I stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Nakasu and had breakfast at the restaurant "Ono's Separate". It was similar to other Mitsui Gardens, but what stood out was the option to have sushi made for you, and the choice between tonjiru and simmered noodles for soup. The simmered noodles tasted a bit bland, but I felt the hospitality unique to Fukuoka. The only downside was that the coffee machine didn't produce foam, which was a bit disappointing.

I stayed at a hotel in Fukuoka on a business trip and had breakfast there. I went to the breakfast buffet both days, arriving early at 6:30 am when it opened. Since I was dining alone, the staff seated me at the counter where I could choose between a hot pot dish or miso soup. On the first day, I went with the local specialty hot pot, and on the second day, I chose miso soup. The buffet had a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, including freshly made sushi. Being in Fukuoka, they also had mentaiko (spicy cod roe), grilled squid dumplings, sweet potato tempura, and German potatoes. Everything was delicious, and I ended up getting seconds of rice and miso soup. Buffets always make me eat too much, haha. It was a delightful breakfast experience. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation at Mitsui Garden Hotel Nakasu in Hakata for the second night of my Kyushu Kumamoto/Fukuoka trip. The plan was called "New Fukuoka Hideaway Trip - Accommodation Discount Plan - Standard Plan" with breakfast included. We stayed in a Superior State Twin (non-smoking) room for 2 people, with a room rate of 23,654 yen (including tax and service charge) thanks to the national travel support discount. The hotel, which has only been open for a few years, had a very beautiful entrance. The room was clean and satisfying, and the large public bath was also nice. I chose this hotel because they serve a delicious breakfast using popular local ingredients at "Ono no Hanare". I went for breakfast around 7 o'clock, and the venue was very spacious.

I chose HAKATA for breakfast, where you can choose from three different options. I wanted to have grilled mackerel, and it was delicious. In addition to the grilled mackerel, I also enjoyed the Hakata-style hot pot noodles, sushi, and fried chicken. Everything was amazing. I would love to come back and try a different menu next time. The large communal bath was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The only downside was that the changing area was a bit small.

The best breakfast in Fukuoka - Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Nakasu @ Fukuoka City Today, I had breakfast at Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Nakasu. As I entered, I saw a row of hagama, where they cook their own rice. There are three menu options, and I ordered the set with a mini bowl today. The mini bowl with high-quality fish was amazing, with amberjack, mackerel, sea bream, sea urchin, and salmon roe. The homemade tofu, simmered eggplant, mentaiko, shredded mountain pepper, and Yame tea jelly were also delicious. The grilled mackerel sushi, horse mackerel sushi, and amberjack sushi were served as well. The miso soup had shrimp in it today. The grilled beltfish was excellent, along with the squid dumplings. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, I was able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast today. This hotel is probably the best place to have breakfast in Fukuoka City.
