I'm in Asahikawa now, it's almost time to check in at the hotel but I decided to stop by one more place. Being directionally challenged, I relied on my navigation system and when it said "arrived!" there was a cake shop. I thought, well, a cake shop is fine too, and made a hasty decision to park the car and walked away. I positioned myself for an aerial view and realized that the shop I was looking for was a little further ahead. It was on the second floor of a boutique. "No more small sizes available," it said. What should I do? Oh well, I went inside and was greeted by a female staff. "Is takeout okay?" "Sure," I replied. The menu was available for takeout, making it easy for anyone to choose. I had already decided what I wanted because I couldn't make a decision on the spot. I knew it was outrageously expensive, but I went in anyway. "Wait for 15 minutes," they said. "Do you want to wait inside?" I was asked, but that was out of the question. It felt like torture. I had seen another shop nearby, so I decided to visit that one first and then come back. After 15 minutes, it was ready. The interior of the shop was very nice, with three staff members and five customers in total. My wife... I wasn't surprised by the price this time. "How much do you think it is?" "Good hamburgers are expensive," she said, very composed. "Hurry up and eat," she said, but I was writing a report while eating, so I wasn't organized. "The bottom isn't heated, so start from the bottom," they said. Aren't you supposed to eat the hamburger as a whole? I don't like hamburgers because you have to eat them with a wide open mouth, which is annoying. Is that okay? The taste was certainly delicious. "The bread is delicious," they said, but isn't that normal? The potatoes are quite ethnic and spicy... this tastes good. The salad... I guess it's not for me, it's Asian, but I can still eat it. They say it's coriander, but I've never consciously eaten coriander, so I don't know the taste. One of them was heated up, and it's still hard to eat, but it's delicious. I'm starting to understand the charm of hamburgers. I still can't bring myself to eat chain restaurant burgers. I don't feel like buying and eating them on my own.
